Zatara cleared his throat. "Enough introductions. Zatanna will accompany you only briefly. Your current mission is to show her around the places."
Aqualad asked with a serious expression. "What about the Red Tornado? He had been missing and you guys didn't even tell us about anything at all."
Superboy said with angry expression. "Are you guys thinking that we are not strong enough to know or just didn't want to let us investigate that problems?"
Black Canary explains slowly that League are also trying their best to locate the missing Red Tornado and they will be given the more details about the problem later.
Later, in the mission room, the team gathered around the holographic display.
"Red Tornado's our babysitter," Wally muttered. "If he's gone, that's… bad."
"Bad for him," Artemis said. "And worse for us."
Aqualad's voice was calm but firm. "We must find him. For the League and for ourselves."
Zatanna crossed her arms, leaning against the console. "If Tornado's missing, maybe magic is involved. I could help."
Robin shot her a grin. "We'll take all the help we can get."
Ryotaro studied the data quietly. Coordinates flickered—an abandoned facility on the city's edge. His chest tightened. Another case, another trail. He clenched his fist. "Then let's find him."
The bioship hummed through the night sky, New York's lights sprawling below like a glittering sea.
Inside, the team prepared. Artemis checked her quiver. Superboy crossed his arms, silent as always. Zatanna practiced small spells, a faint glow dancing between her fingers.
Robin leaned over the console with Ryotaro. "So… Canary kicked your ass, huh?"
Ryotaro gave him a sidelong glare. "You want me to hit you?"
Robin chuckled. "Relax. She's tough on everyone. Even me."
After a pause, Robin added, softer, "But she's right, you know. You're holding back."
Ryotaro looked down at the Joker Memory in his hand. "…Maybe."
Before Robin could say more, the bioship descended.
"Approaching target," Aqualad announced.
The warehouse loomed below, dark and silent. But the team knew better. Something waited inside. And whatever it was, it wasn't just Red Tornado.
The warehouse smelled of rust and oil, a tomb of forgotten machines. The team moved in formation—Aqualad at point, Artemis covering high, Kid Flash darting ahead but pulled back each time by a sharp word. Ryotaro walked near Robin, both boys scanning every shadow.
"Heat signatures," Superboy muttered. His Kryptonian senses sharpened. "Not human."
They pressed deeper until the main chamber opened before them.
And there—standing side by side—were two figures. Metallic, humanoid, but not Red Tornado. Their designs were similar, but one gleamed silver-blue, the other red-gold.
"Red Torpedo," Aqualad breathed. "And Red Inferno."
The androids turned their heads, eyes glowing like furnaces.
"They're not here to welcome us," Artemis muttered, arrow notched.
The floor shook suddenly as a third figure descended from above, landing with a crash that sent dust billowing. Taller, bulkier, fire radiating from vents in its armor. Its voice crackled like molten rock.
"I am Red Volcano. The true evolution. Red Tornado was weak—humanity's leash bound him. I will surpass him."
Robin's jaw clenched. "And you took Tornado."
"I didn't take him. My father did but don't worry he is no more...." Volcano answered. "And soon, I will extinguish you as well." The battle erupted.
Aqualad surged forward, water-bearers glowing. He met Inferno head-on, steam hissing as fire and water collided.
Artemis loosed a barrage of arrows at Torpedo, who sliced through them with bladed arms, relentless. Kid Flash tried circling behind, but a jet of water from Torpedo's palm sent him skidding into a wall.
Superboy roared, charging Volcano with raw strength. But the android caught his fists, flames flaring, and hurled him back like a rag doll.
Ryotaro and Robin exchanged a glance.
"You ready?" Robin asked.
Ryotaro pulled the Joker Memory from his pocket, feeling its pulse. "Always."
But he hesitated—then shoved it back. "No. Not yet. We fight as ourselves first."
Robin smirked. "Bold move, partner."
They sprinted in together. Robin's acrobatics weaved around Volcano's strikes while Ryotaro aimed precise blows at joints and vents. For a moment, they pressed the advantage—Robin leaping onto the android's shoulder, Ryotaro driving a kick into its knee.
But Volcano's heat surged, armor glowing bright. He exploded outward with a blast of magma-force that sent both boys flying. They crashed into the concrete, coughing from the searing air.
"Too strong," Ryotaro muttered, pushing himself up. His fists trembled.
Robin spat blood, grinning anyway. "We've been in worse. …Okay, maybe not much worse."
Meanwhile, Zatanna stood at the edge of the chaos, her hands trembling as she whispered incantations. Energy shimmered, but her control faltered against the raw power of the androids.
Still, she pressed forward, words reversing off her tongue. "Sdniw dloh!"
Gusts of wind whipped through the chamber, staggering Torpedo for a heartbeat. Artemis seized the opening, planting an explosive arrow into its chest. The blast sent the water-android crashing back.
Kid Flash zipped past, snagging Zatanna's arm. "Nice work, Zee! Stick with me."
Robin and Ryotaro regrouped, bruised but unbroken. The others were holding, but barely.
"We can't drag this out," Robin said, teeth clenched. "Volcano's tearing us apart."
Ryotaro stared at the Joker Memory. His uncle's words came back: Sometimes, to protect, you must risk everything.
He held it out. "One more time?"
Robin's grin sharpened. "You bet."
They pulled out the Double Driver, slotting in the compartments.
CYCLONE!
JOKER!
The belts snapped shut, voices uniting.
"HENSHIN!"
Light exploded, emerald and black swirling together. In an instant, Kamen Rider W stood in the heart of the storm.
The androids faltered, their sensors spiking at the sudden surge of energy.
"Now, count up your sins!" the Rider's voice echoed, both Robin and Ryotaro fused.
They leapt forward, twin halves in perfect sync. Cyclone's wind carved through Inferno's flames, Joker's strikes slamming into armored plating with bone-cracking force.
For a moment, the tide turned.
But Volcano roared, his furnace blazing brighter. "Your fusion means nothing before my perfection!"
He launched streams of molten rock, the heat distorting the very air. Even Cyclone's winds struggled against it. W staggered, armor glowing dangerously hot.
"Too much!" Robin's voice echoed inside the helmet.
Ryotaro gritted his teeth. "Hold together!"
They drove forward, but Volcano's fist caught them square in the chest. The impact rattled their core, sending them spiraling through a steel beam.
The Double Driver sparked, the transformation shattering. Robin and Ryotaro tumbled apart, collapsing to the ground.
"Robin! Ryotaro!" Artemis cried.
They tried to rise, but their bodies screamed in protest. They had given everything and it wasn't enough.
Volcano loomed over them, fire building in his chest. "You are failures, like Tornado. Humanity is weakness."
Zatanna's eyes blazed. "No… humanity is strength!"
Her words poured in reverse, magic flooding the chamber. A glowing circle of runes wrapped around Volcano's arms, halting his finishing blow. He snarled, straining against the binds.
Superboy seized the opening, driving a fist into the android's core. Sparks erupted.
Aqualad summoned a torrent of water, dousing the molten flames. Artemis' explosive arrows followed, detonating in unison.
The chamber shook with the combined assault. Finally, Volcano collapsed to his knees, his systems faltering but not failing.
Robin and Ryotaro insert the Cyclone Memory and used their finishing move.
Cyclone__ Maximum__ Drive!
The Rider jumped up with double flips and kicked out towards the collapsed android.
""Rider's Kick."" Robin and Ryotaro yelled in union.
"Impossible…" he rasped. "I was… perfection…"
With a final shudder, the android powered down, flames snuffed out.
Silence fell.
The team panted, battered but standing. Robin and Ryotaro slumped against the wall, too drained to move.
"Not bad," Robin croaked. "I am really falling in love with that finishing move, Ryotaro."
Ryotaro exhaled, eyes closing briefly. "…Yeah, I am also."
