It Had been 2 weeks since me and Hana last met up at my house, and it was the middle of June, and summer break was just a month and a half away, Of course I had no idea what to do during that time, Maybe I would just spend it all playing video games with Hana, or just hanging out with her in general, who knows.
Now that I thought about it, it had been awhile since me and Hana had hung out, But that was mainly because we were busy studying, and Hana also had her part time job to worry about for half the week.
I was sitting at my desk, it was almost the end of 6th period, my math class which I happened to share with Haga Ayumi.
The bell rung and I picked up my school supplies, my next class was homeroom, but just as I was exiting through the door I felt a tap on my shoulder, I spun around and it turned out to be Haga who had tapped it, somehow despite her fairly short height she had managed to reach my back.
"Yes, what is it Haga?"
"I need to talk to you in private."
I walked out the doorway with her trailing behind me, before I stopped right outside the classroom.
"What about?"
"It's about Yamada."
"Oh?"

I was standing outside the school gates, Haga was looking around frantically as if she was worried people would notice us together, she looked quite paranoid for some reason.
"Haga, what is all this about?"
"Oh, um."
She paused, taking one last look around her environment before speaking one more.
"Do you know when Hana's birthday is?"
I did know when her birthday was, she had told me quite a while ago, in fact it was almost 2 weeks away.
"It's on the 28th, why are you asking?"
"I wanted to get her a gift."
"Oh, I see."
Haga stayed silent, almost as if she was hesitating to speak, or perhaps to ask me another question.
"Do you know what kinds of things she likes?"
I brought my hand up to my face and rested my head on it, while I thought about what things Hana liked.
She loves gaming and lately she had been really getting into photography, I knew that for sure but otherwise I knew almost no real hobbies that she has other than that, but any sort of game or camera would have been too expensive on a high school student, so I needed to come up with something else.
Now that I thought about it, before we met each other outside of the online world, she would constantly talk about doing.
"She loves writing I suppose, maybe get her something related to that."
Her eyes lit up, she looked about as excited as a puppy off its leash.
"Thank you Sato, I will remember this!"
She turned around and waved goodbye to me whilst jogging away. She really did care about her friendship with Hana, didn't she.

It was a little while after that interaction, while I was walking back home when Hana texted me out of nowhere, today she didn't tutor me as usual as she had business elsewhere in school to take care of, it was something about cleaning out the storage room with a couple of other classmates, something I wasn't given the opportunity to help with.
Yamada Hana : [Yo hotshot, what should we take a photo of for next week?]
Right, last week Hana had taken a less than ideal photo of a cat digging around in a dumpster, which really disappointed Matayoshi, he wanted us to get a better photo by next week to make up for that abhorrent photo.
Sato Masaichi : [Maybe a landscape photo of some kind, maybe high up?]
Yamada Hana : [The last time we took a photo of nature, you got sick, and I felt really bad about it.]
Sato Masaichi : [Then just find a time when it's not raining, and we can do it.]
Yamada Hana : [Actually I have an idea on where we could take a picture at.]
Sato Masaichi : [And where would that be?]
Yamada Hana : [Prepare yourself, we are going Saturday, but first we are going to go shopping, there are some things I need to get.]
Sato Masaichi : [And you're just saying this with no input from me once so ever?]
Yamada Hana : [Fine, do you want to go out with me on Saturday and go shopping, and then go take a stupid photo?]
Sato Masaichi : [Yeah yeah sure.]
Yamada Hana : [Hooray, thanks Masaichi!]
