"Yeah sure, I will." He said it will with a sincere smile and tone... but some part of my heart felt as if those 4 words, won't spoken with full honesty. I brushed it aside, but something inside wanted one more thing, just one thing, if I couldn't ask now then when would I.
"You'll come back for ME, right?" I tilted my head to the second.
I saw something flicker in his eyes, although I didn't know what that emotion was, it definitely wasn't something I wanted him to feel.
As the thoughts in my mind overanalyzed every single detail like a computer, Ade had closer to me, so close that I could feel his breath, it is warm, warm not like a summer's day but like now it's cold and you cover yourself with blankets all-over.
HE bent down a little and whispered inyo my ear.
"I'll always come back for you, little Birdy."
At that moment, I could only thing.' Does he know what he does to me, does this man know how he effects me, huh?'. I turned redder than a tomato.
"Anyway." I try to change the subject." We're at the arcade but we're not playing games ha!, you know what do I think?" I bounce my head back and forth.
"What?" He smirks.
"We should play some games."
"We should play games?" He repeats my sentence back at me.
"We should play games."
"Then let's go." Ade turns to leaves but suddenly I am dragged by the collar and taken somewhere that I know nothing of.
Ade brings me to a motorcycle simulator, it had two life size motorcycles and a screen in front of It. "Try this." I says.
My eyes lit up from excitement, I have always wanted one of this and even learned everything about them. I hurry up on to the fake motorcycle and position myself.
"Ready?" Ade faces me, I nodded with a smile and we start. The fake motorcycle simulator moves as we follow the track on the screen, avoiding cars and other such things.
I have always wanted to ride a motorcycle but my parents would absolutely freak out and probably die from heart attacks. Back in the past, I once saw a racer on TV and was so amazed by his skills that getting one had become my dream, I mentioned it to my parents, with excitement bubbling up inside me but they got angry for wasting their time and told me:
"Don't focus on a stupid dream like that, it would be a waste of your time and you should get a big car for your family, yeah that would be a lot better!"
I lowered my head, my shoulders drooping along with it. My gaze became distant and empty. All I could do was stare at my hands.
'But I don't want to have a family.' I thought at that moment.
...
I shook those memories aside, right now wasn't a time to be all sad, no , I needed to smile and be happy but at least there was a reason to be happy.
I stared at Ade, but he was already looking at me, our eyes connect and I couldn't help but smile.
The night went on like that, secret glances, laughs and more, to be honest this was now feeling more like a first DATE. We played a lot of games, by the end we had a lot of tickets from the countless arcade games we won together. Team work sure does make the dream work.
"What do you think will be able to get?" I asked Ade and he meet my sight. I was generally happy at this moment but it felt also a little bit sad that the night was coming to an end and we had to part ways, it wasn't a normal for me and age to spend time like this together, just the two of us.
Aid had a bundle of tickets he cradled in his arms, he was even struggling to hold them and I could tell.
"I honestly don't know" he said as he stirred up into the arcade's ceiling. "Butwhatever we get I know it's going to be special."
After waiting for a long time it was nearly are turn, next in line. And no one is ever told me that standing in arcade lines like one of the toughest battles you can ever fight in your life, like why am I standing here for hours just because I want to toy. At this moment even I admire my dedication.
One thing I am not is that I am not a stander I do not like to stand for a very long time and easily gets tired just for standing for like 5 minutes. It's always been a weakness of my understand but I was willing to take this just to get that toy because we had gotten a lot of tickets.
When it was us next in line the tickets collector/toy giver greeted us with a polite and kind smile. We checked for the things that we could and couldn't buy. At some point during our waiting the line 80 is taking the tickets from me and was holding all of them, When I was a lost in my river at what I could choose with the tickets I had, suddenly I felt him pointing towards something and give the ticket collector the tickets.
He handed me a purple and blue cat.
"Huh?..." I wondered.
"What about your thing, aren't you going to get something for yourself, why did you give all the tickets just for one thing. I know we had enough tickets to get two things for us, so why..."
"Haha" he left lightly under his breath cutting me off from my yapping.
"I don't need to get something but I just thought this cat with suits you."
"And—"
"Hey Ade!" Theo his friend called out to him from across the room, he walked up to me and aid with another woman by his side. I'd seen her around many times she was Ade's other friend.
They also hit a bundle of two kids in their wrists, Nova, the girl walking next to Theo had more tickets than anyone else,
"Looks like I won this bet, clearly seeing how I have more than you deal and... Ade over here has nothing." She raised the brow.
"Where your ticket I thought we were still doing the bet?" She asked if she glanced at me.
She walked towards me with light full of light. "Ahh, aren't you Dal's friend he tells me a lot about you." I just awkwardly nodded saying yeah here under my breath.
"Yeah we gotta go."Ade should I try dragging her away.
"Talk to you later little birdie." He Winked with the smirk.
"Also he's Little Birdy, so he one—"
