Chapter 247: Hero Saves the Beauty
We turn our attention to the Ultra Deep Sea, where Will and Karen have encountered serious trouble.
The place where Will and Karen appeared is actually a dark cave with very limited space to explore. At the entrance and the end are two jellyfish-shaped open areas connected by a narrow path. The walls on both sides of the path are covered with crystals of various colors and coral-shaped stones, creating a deep-sea atmosphere. However, outside the cave entrance, the sky above is an ocean, and their location is somewhat similar to a tunnel in a marine park.

Will casually tossed out a Poké Ball, and Lucario entered the fray, firing Aura Sphere directly at Nihilego, completely ignoring Karen inside Nihilego's body.
Will said indifferently, "Sorry, Karen. I'll apologize to you after I rescue you. Lucario, Aura Sphere! Alakazam, stop those Nihilego!"
As the attack began, a large number of Nihilego converged from the sea. Will clicked his tongue and muttered, "Didn't Ryan say Nihilego are Rock/Poison type? How come they live in seawater?"
Then, looking at Nihilego's jellyfish-like body, he could roughly understand why. Will said, "Since it can live in seawater, its resistance to Water-type attacks must be very high. So, Venusaur, use Frenzy Plant! Aegislash, use Sacred Sword! Aggron, use Heavy Slam!"
With three more Poké Balls thrown, Venusaur, Aegislash, and Aggron instantly appeared in the passage, working with Alakazam to clear out the large number of Nihilego nearby, while he focused on dealing with the combination of Karen and Nihilego.
Seeing Nihilego use its tentacles to bind Lucario, Will shouted, "Don't underestimate me! I am also a successor of Aura! Lucario, use Bone Rush to knock off all those tentacles!"
Although Lucario was bound by tentacles, its hands were still outside. It clasped its hands together, then pulled them outwards, forming a bone club between its hands. The bone club then swung, severing Nihilego's tentacles.
Lucario landed back on the ground and then swung the bone club at Nihilego.
Will's story is quite legendary. His starter Pokémon is Abra, and he's from Goldenrod City. He once studied Psychic abilities under Sabrina's father. After failing to learn, he traveled and became an apprentice of Aura on Iron Island, learning Aura. He made some progress.
Although his starter Pokémon has evolved into Alakazam, if we're talking about his strongest Pokémon, it's definitely Lucario. With the added power of Aura, Lucario can barely hold its own against some Pokémon that have just mastered their origin power.
"Next time I have enough points, I'm definitely going to exchange them for an Aura Mastery opportunity with Ryan!" Will said, watching Lucario being repelled again.
"Don't come any closer! Don't come any closer! Houndoom, use Flamethrower!" Karen shouted, and Nihilego launched Karen's Poké Ball. Houndoom was enveloped in an aura, and a clearly enhanced Flamethrower shot towards Lucario.
"Arcanine, block it! Then use Flamethrower on Nihilego!" Will said.
Will's Arcanine, clearly equipped with the Flash Fire ability, immediately withstood Houndoom's Flamethrower and then unleashed an even larger Flamethrower at Nihilego. Simultaneously, Lucario rushed forward, using its Bone Rush to send Houndoom flying, followed by an Aura Sphere that rendered it unable to battle.
Then, Lucario seized the opportunity, charging towards Karen and slamming its bone club into Nihilego's head.
This clearly enraged Nihilego; several tentacles scattered, and a large amount of rock coalesced and indiscriminately scattered in all directions with Power Gem.
"Aggron!" Will shouted.
Aggron immediately rushed over, blocking Will's path, and then retaliated with a Flash Cannon, blasting Nihilego backward.
"Arcanine, Iron Tail! Aggron, Heavy Slam! Lucario, Aura Sphere to block its movement!" Will said in a deep voice.
Lucario fired a barrage of Aura Spheres at Nihilego, directly blocking its retreat route. Arcanine and Aggron also hit Nihilego directly. Nihilego, parasitizing Karen, was immediately knocked away, and the Aura Spheres behind it also hit it, causing it to scream in agony again.
"No. Nihilego is constantly absorbing Karen's stamina to recover itself. We have to defeat it instantly!" Will said, frowning.
But even Aggron's Heavy Slam, which had dealt the most damage, hadn't finished it. So what other way was there? Will instantly turned his gaze to Aegislash, his eyes lighting up, and said, "Aegislash, switch to Shield Forme and use Destiny Bond!"
Upon hearing this, Aegislash understood Will's idea and immediately stopped attacking. At the same time, the shadow of Destiny Bond had already wrapped around the Nihilego parasitizing Karen. The Nihilego sensed the danger and immediately tried to retreat. However, Will wouldn't let it have its way; Arcanine's Flamethrower instantly took away Aegislash's last bit of health.
Karen inside the Nihilego screamed in pain, and Lucario leaped up again, unleashing a close-range Aura Sphere. The Nihilego could no longer withstand the damage and exploded, throwing Karen violently downwards.
Will rushed forward and caught the falling Karen. In Will's arms, Karen said with some difficulty, "Sorry for troubling you."
Then, she completely lost consciousness. Will looked at the dissipating Nihilego and shook his head, saying, "Sigh. What a mess!"
He then carried Karen back into the cave; at least the Nihilego wasn't inside, and as long as the entrance was secured, it was basically safe.
