Chapter 171: The Power of the Domain
Following Lance's words, countless Legendary Birds charged towards Ryan and his companions, completely oblivious to the presence of the three Legendary Pokémon. It wasn't that they ignored those who surpassed them, but rather that they lacked any thoughts of their own!
After the system scan, Ryan received a single message: a genetically cloned product, their life force overdrawn to reach pseudo-Legendary strength. They lacked consciousness and could only mechanically follow orders. Their survival time: three days after the battle begins, followed by irreversible physical decay.
They are curable, but they will endure lifelong pain from their genes. Treatment is not recommended; the most effective approach is to end their lives as soon as possible.
Ryan was furious. Although Team Rocket had committed this unscrupulous act, there was no guarantee the League hadn't also contributed to it.
Rayquaza roared, meaning, "No need for you to intervene. We'll handle this."
As Rayquaza's cry fell, three powers emanated from the three Legendary Pokémon, encompassing the entire area. Groudon snorted disdainfully, and the Legendary Birds instantly fell to the ground, either vanishing into the water or slamming into the rocky ground, a bloody mess.
Ryan and the others watched in shock. Nearly a hundred Legendary Birds, though only possessing pseudo-Legendary strength, were still a formidable force. Yet, before the three Legendary Pokémon, they couldn't even withstand a single moment and were completely defeated and killed!
Ryan sensed the power within the space, his eyes gleaming. "Is this the power of a domain?"
The power of the sky, the continent, and the ocean combined. This space was completely under the control of the three Legendary Pokémon. There was no way Legendary Pokémon without domains could defeat them!
Ryan's heart surged as he watched. Ruby and the others had witnessed the power of Legendary Pokémon firsthand. This wasn't about sheer strength that could be overcome by numbers.
Domino, seeing all the Legendary Birds dead, remained unmoved. After all, this was just an experiment, a test of the capabilities of these disposable Pokémon. It didn't look like the results were particularly promising.
Domino looked at Lance and asked, "Have you brought your equipment?"
"It's already been installed. We're ready to begin," Lance said. He then released his Dragonite. Deoxys separated from Lance's body and launched several Psycho Boosts at the three Legendary Pokémon.
Just as the three Legendary Pokémon tried to resist, countless mechanical devices suddenly emerged from the surrounding rock walls, and a wave of energy struck Rayquaza. Rayquaza instantly weakened, and cracks appeared in its stable domain. Deoxys seized the opportunity and launched several Psycho Boosts, knocking Groudon and Kyogre back several steps.
Just then, a dark figure leaped from the shadows. Its sharp black claws pierced Ryan's chest, extracting a heart and crushing it fiercely.
"Cough cough," Ryan said in pain, spitting out several mouthfuls of blood. "I didn't expect you had a backup plan. This Darkrai is well hidden."
"Die in peace," Lance said, looking at Ryan, his heart shattered.
"Before I die, can you fulfill one of my wishes?" Ryan said, grabbing Darkrai's arm. Lillie, standing by, felt distressed for Ryan's injury, but she was also trying hard to suppress a smile. Lance, however, didn't notice and said calmly, "What is it?"
"Can you spare the others?" Ryan said in pain.
Wallace, also with a gloomy expression, flew over in his airship and said, "Lance, Ruby is my student, Norman's son. Sapphire is Professor Birch's daughter. If you want to touch them, you have to get past me first."
"In other words, this girl can't be spared," Lance said, looking at Lillie. "Darkrai, take care of her."
"Damn, you push your luck!" Ryan, who was about to "die", was instantly revived. Floette appeared in an instant, grabbed Darkrai's fur, and violently pulled it away from Ryan's body. Moonblast directly blasted it away.
Ryan wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth. Within the hollow of his chest, a heart was rapidly growing and healing. The hole was also healing at a visible speed. The two artillery Pokémon, led by Tyranitar and Aerodactyl, also showed them the true power of firepower!
The all-encompassing Hyper Beams were destroying the mechanical equipment in the crater. The few remaining Pokémon also served as battlefield medics, providing healing to the team.
Ruby and Sapphire watched Ryan's Pokémon wreak havoc on the crowd and couldn't help but swallow nervously. Sapphire muttered, "Ryan's main team is so strong!"
"I think they've reached their limit. The League is about to take serious action," Ruby said, watching the movement from the League. At the same time, he felt a deep sense of powerlessness at his own inability to handle such a situation. He had thought himself strong enough, not the best, but above average. But in this situation, let alone fighting, even observing the battle required Ryan's protection, which only brought back his competitive spirit.

As Ryan spoke, Mewtwo, Solgaleo, Celebi, Zeraora, Floette, and Darkrai—six Legendary Pokémon—stood before him, facing the League.
"Celebi, are you sure you want to go against the League?" Lance asked, looking at Celebi.
Celebi sneered. Ryan continued, "Your League has already offended Rayquaza. Rayquaza alone can't handle you. Are you sure you want to go against the entire Celebi species?"
Lance fell silent. Suddenly, a phone rang. Lance answered the call, then hung up with a drastic change of expression. He turned to Ryan and said, "Ryan, the League will no longer pursue this matter. It's safe to say that the League will apologize to you and compensate Rayquaza for its losses. But you must hand over this Floette. This is an order! If you resist, then let's fight. Even if it means risking my life, I must recover that Floette!"
"Then there's no room for negotiation. Let's fight!" Ryan declared.
Meanwhile, Ryan fell into deep thought: Why would the League abandon Rayquaza and instead demand Floette? Floette simply possessed the Eternal Flower, thereby gaining the power of destruction.
Wait?! Destruction?! Ryan felt that this was what the League feared!
