The second the car rolled to a stop I could tell something was off.
Safe houses usually looked… boring. Gray walls, no personality, maybe an old couch that smelled like someone's dead uncle. But this place? The damn driveway looked like it belonged to someone who owned a yacht and cheated on taxes for fun. The house was huge glass everywhere, big trees, and a stupidly expensive modern fence.
Rico stepped out of the car and just froze.
"Yo. No way. No—way."
Luka pushed his head out the door like a confused raccoon. "Is this—? Wait—HOLY—no, Rico, no."
"Yep," Rico said, pointing like he'd just spotted a celebrity. "That's Enzo's stupid tall head right there."
And there he was.
Enzo.
Standing in front of the house, arms crossed, looking like he didn't sleep and didn't want anyone else to either. Aiko and her boyfriend stood beside him, both looking awkward as hell.
Liam stepped out last blinking at all of us.
