Chapter 57 - Beat ⁵⁷ ★ Adrenalin☆

Adrenalin☆

"Ren, answer," Leo's voice came, now clearly irritated by Ren's silence.

Jin couldn't endure another second. He stretched out his hand, snatched the phone from Leo's ear, and pressed it to his own. In that moment, nothing else mattered—only the need to release the anger suffocating him.

His voice was sharp, commanding as he spoke into the phone.

"Ren, put the call on speaker."

Ren's eyes shifted to Smart, and in a low voice he said,

"Jin's on the phone… and stop that damn car."

Smart heard him but stayed in his lane. The rush of adrenaline was so intense that his eyes didn't even flinch when he realized Jin was on the phone.

Ren put the call on speaker, and at that moment Jin's voice was heard—sharp, commanding, impossible to ignore.

"Smart. I want you at our place in thirty minutes.

Not a single minute late.

Don't make the mistake of not coming."

Then he hung up, leaving no one a chance to speak.

Leo was left speechless, staring at Jin in disbelief. What the hell is he doing? he thought, as he got ready to head toward his own car.

Jin handed him the phone and gestured for him to follow.

"Jin, what do you think you're achieving with this behavior?

You've barely stepped into a relationship, and you're already turning into a beast.

Control your temper. Don't be so harsh with Smart!"

Leo fastened his seatbelt and pulled out his phone, quickly typing a message to Ren:

📩 Don't bring Smart. Jin is furious!!

Jin laughed, a devilish smile playing on his lips, but didn't say a word.

He pressed the gas and drove straight toward the place where he would be waiting for Smart.

"Fuck," Ren shouted. "There's nothing that man lets slip by…

And you're still thinking about not showing that you work at 'Light'?

Did I tell you to slow the car down?

Were you trying to tease me? Look at you now… completely exposed."

Smart saw him and smiled faintly.

"Don't worry. Calm down. It's not the end of the world.

Let's go."

At that moment, he read the message Leo had sent and immediately turned to Smart, grabbing him by the shoulder.

"Are you serious? Where are we going?"

"We're not going anywhere else but home.

He just thinks you're with me. There's no way for him to check!"

"He already knows," Smart said calmly.

"Let's finish this today."

"Smart, are you sure?

You know you'll be facing Jin's anger, right?"

Smart slowed the car and turned his head toward Ren.

"No problem. I know exactly how to calm him down—trust me."

And in his mind, a hundred devilish scenarios were already running through.

You've only been together for two days, and you already have a place you call yours.

"Why didn't you tell me everything? Did something slip past me?"

"Smart, why keep things from me?" Ren pressed, but Smart cut him off.

Don't overthink it! Let me focus on driving," he said with a laugh, pressing the gas and picking up speed.

Jin and Leo had already arrived and were waiting, their eyes fixed on the road.

Both sat quietly in Jin's luxury car, neither saying a word.

Jin kept glancing at his watch, checking the minutes.

His gaze shifted constantly—first to the watch, then back to the road.

Smart was pushing the car at a dizzying speed, barely lifting his foot off the gas.

"Ren," he said, eyes on the road, "how many minutes do we have left?"

Ren glanced at the watch and replied quickly,

"Ten minutes!"

But why worry so much about the time?

Do you really need to obey it—right now?

Smart turned his head slightly, raised an eyebrow, and a teasing smile appeared at the corner of his lips.

"Let's stick to the schedule today!" he said, continuing to drive at a hurried pace.

"Slow down, we might have sharp turns ahead," Ren warned, turning his head to scan the road.

"No worries," Smart laughed. "You know this isn't a problem for me."

He was enjoying the moment so much that he didn't want it to end.

The situation only made him more excited.

"Let's figure out what we're going to say, so we're on the same page," Ren whispered, imagining a few scenes in his mind.

"I feel like I'm in an action movie—we're only missing the weapons now," he laughed, caught up in the fantasy playing out in his head.

"Don't overthink it—leave it to me," Smart said, his voice brimming with confidence and certainty.

"How confident are you today?" Ren asked, a hint of irony in his tone.

"You keep telling me… don't overthink, don't do this, don't do that…"

"Let's see how you calm Jin down when you're face to face with him."

Smart didn't say a word, only gave a look that seemed to say: Wait and see.

They were almost at the place when Smart slammed on the brakes.

"What the hell are you doing?" Ren shouted, gripping tightly.

Smart unbuckled his seatbelt and stepped out of the car.

"Come on, let's switch seats now, and don't let him know I was driving. Jin mustn't find out…"

"Damn," Ren said, locking eyes with him.

"I'm going to—"

"I know, I know," Smart interrupted.

"You're admiring me even more now, right?

You'll have time to flatter me later.

For now, sit in the driver's seat so we can go…"

"And when we get closer, slow down a little."

Then he gave him a quick, teasing wink.

Ren swatted him on the head.

"When did you start pulling these manipulative moves too?"

The roar of a speeding car cut through the silence.

Jin glanced at his watch and took a deep breath, as if something was weighing on him.

"Fuck. I hope it's not Smart behind the wheel…"

He got out of the car and leaned against it, lighting a cigarette.

Smart and Ren were already there, parked right in front of them.

Jin seemed somewhat relieved when he saw Ren at the wheel, but still, an inner voice warned him not to trust everything he saw.

Smart took a deep breath, his gaze fixed on Jin, studying him as if he wanted to analyze every detail.

Jin noticed, gave a slight smile, and gestured for him to get out and come closer.

"Now watch and learn!" Smart said to Ren, taking a deep breath.

The two of them stepped out of the car, smiling as if nothing had happened.

Ren stepped down and called Leo over.

Leo approached and whispered,

"Damn, why did you bring Smart?

I told you not to bring him…"

"He wanted to come himself," Ren replied, planting a light kiss on his lips.

Do you think all the anger I feel inside will vanish with that kiss?

"Tonight, you'll sleep alone, and that's not up for discussion," he added, shooting him an annoyed glare.

Ren smiled softly, leaning back against his car.

He reached out with both hands, grabbing Leo from behind and pulling him close.

Wrapping his arms around Leo's waist, he rested his head against his back.

He kissed him gently, whispering,

"What should I do to make you feel better?"

Leo placed his hands over Ren's around his waist, squeezing tightly.

"You know exactly what I want, don't you?"

Ren immediately understood what Leo was thinking, but he wasn't going to let Leo's imagination run any further.

He intended to block every path that could lead Leo into that thought.

He leaned his lips against the back of Leo's neck and kissed him softly—a touch that Leo felt deep inside.

Leo turned his head slightly in profile, just enough for his eyes to meet Ren's,

and raised an eyebrow as if to say,

"So… what do you think? Are you going to fulfill my desire?"

Forget what you had in mind!" Ren murmured, continuing to kiss him softly.

Leo turned his head and smiled lightly at Ren's reaction.

He pressed his back a little more firmly against Ren's chest and pulled him even closer, feeling a pleasure he couldn't put into words.

Smart took a few steps toward Jin, then suddenly lowered his gaze to the ground, as if feeling guilty.

Ren noticed and couldn't help but smile—so this is your way, he thought.

Jin's eyes were now burning with anger.

He wanted to punish him so badly in that moment, he couldn't even calm himself.

"Smart!! Look me in the eyes," Jin said, exhaling cigarette smoke and throwing a gaze at him, from head to toe.

Smart didn't react at all, keeping his eyes on the ground.

"Smart, I'm here… not down on the ground. When I tell you to look me in the eyes, what are you supposed to do?"

Silence. No reaction from Smart

Jin tossed the cigarette to the ground and stepped closer, gripping Smart by the chin and lifting his face so he would meet his eyes.

"Hey, Jin," Ren said, "calm down…"

Jin shot him a fierce look, as if to say,

"Don't interfere."

He turned his gaze back to Smart, catching the spark in his eyes—like pure adrenaline had just hit him.

Damn, he thought, biting his lip.

Smart didn't say a word

He simply wrapped his hands around Jin's waist and hugged him gently, letting out a deep, unusual breath

When Jin felt Smart's hands on his body, his heart began to race.

But what caught his attention most were Smart's hands—flushed and unbearably hot.

Smart, I swear… you're going to stay in my hands, Jin thought, yet he made no move to hug him back.

He simply let Smart hold him, remaining completely cold.

Smart realized that Jin wasn't going to break as easily as he had thought, so he would have to push even harder to get through.

"Jin," he said softly,

""Do you want to make me sick with your coldness? I've rested my head on your chest, but your heartbeat feels so cold

"Do those heartbeats still carry my name?

If they do… then don't let them stay cold.

Please… warm them
