Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: Job Change: Mage Assassin

Using the excuse of needing to use the restroom, Lupin successfully avoided the period for signing the magic contract. After a while, the group exchanged a few pleasantries, and then Lupin remained at the Dragon Reserve in Romania, while Kayson and the others began preparing to return to England.

"Goodbye, everyone. See you at the start of term," Lupin said, leaning against the plane.

"It won't be that long. We still have to go watch the Quidditch World Cup, remember?" Sirius poked his head out and said.

"Oh, don't worry, I won't forget… I just wonder if the manager will tear me apart if I ask for leave," Lupin said, amused.

"He tears you apart, and you still won't come?"

"Actually, I've prepared a large barrel of dittany. It should be enough to stick me back together," Lupin joked.

"Then there's no problem. If you break your word that day, we'll really have to come after you with our wands," Kayson added.

"Don't worry, I won't."

After receiving Lupin's assurance, Kayson slowly started the plane's engine. Gusts of wind spread out from the helicopter, and the plane slowly ascended into the air.

"Goodbye!"

The journey back to England was much calmer than the journey from England to the Netherlands… Italy. Although they weren't supposed to return so early; their original plan was to travel through half of Europe…

"What a pity, my holiday plans," Kayson sighed and grumbled.

Harry also cursed the Sacred-Blood Brotherhood simultaneously, while only Sirius, who was sitting in the back seat to avoid causing trouble, remained silent…

"Kayson, can you really not make me a Hidden Blade too?"

Kayson's mouth twitched: "I'm afraid not."

"Really?"

"Really. I'm about to land. You can get lost now… Remember to call me after you buy a house."

"Okay…"

After the three of them had a small meal prepared by the House-elves at Hogwarts, Harry and Sirius returned to Privet Drive in the Muggle world. The former was happy wherever he was with his godfather, while the latter was planning to show off his wealth by buying a house on Privet Drive.

Kayson did not return to Baker Street this holiday, as he still had his small upgrade plan to busy himself with. Those magic experiments were inconvenient in the Muggle world, especially when his neighbor was a detective with strong curiosity, making it even more inconvenient.

Although this detective knew most of his affairs, and he wasn't afraid of him seeing magic, this feeling was like having a familiar person constantly peeking over your shoulder when you're writing a novel or drawing.

It gave him a strange sense of shame.

After returning to Hogwarts, Kayson first strolled around Hogwarts inside and out, and then gave Hagrid and Filch, who remained at Hogwarts, the souvenirs he brought them from Italy.

As for Dumbledore, he didn't know what he was doing… Perhaps he went to find Grindelwald. After all, the latter was ostensibly under Dumbledore's strict control at Hogwarts, but in reality, Kayson barely saw Grindelwald at Hogwarts throughout the entire last semester.

"…Everyone's busy… Being busy is good," Kayson sighed and returned to his office, pulling out the trident again.

Stripping off the strange magic layer on it was, at least for Kayson, not too difficult. It was simply a matter of grinding it with a grinding wheel and then copying it onto an enchantment book.

As for the magic in the enchantment book… that thing could be translated back into Runes after a few passes on an anvil. The difficulty lay in the application of this kind of magic.

After all, he currently only had Ender Teleportation, making him arguably the most mobile person in the current magic world. However, such high mobility being used only as a mobile turret seemed a bit too wasteful.

And it was still the same point: using turret-style magic for large-scale destruction was not a big problem for him, but when truly facing the great Wizards at the top of the magic world's pyramid, he could only maintain suppression. It would be very difficult to win in a very short time.

After all, this was a common problem for area-of-effect Wizards. Fortunately, he now had the opportunity to transfer to a magic assassin.

As for how to transfer…

Alchemy, you know.

After Kayson took off his shirt, he took out a small diamond sword, casually passed it through fire, took a deep breath, and aimed it at his forearm.

Whoosh!

.....

In the evening, after Dumbledore finished his small meal prepared by the House-elves, he walked out of the Castle, intending to stroll around Black Lake. Immediately afterward, more than half of Black Lake was suddenly illuminated by orange-yellow light.

He looked up and saw warm light emanating from the huge floor-to-ceiling windows of the alchemy office.

"He's back so soon…" Dumbledore murmured, instinctively trying to Apparate… It didn't work.

"Ah… poor old me," he sighed and could only settle for the next best thing, Ender Teleportation to the office door, then glided on a famous boat to the office area, where he strangely smelled a faint, peculiar scent of blood.

Dumbledore frowned. He didn't sense any high-energy magic fluctuations, so he didn't suspect Kayson was doing anything strange to himself again. That left only one possibility.

"Kayson, are you hurt?"

He said, gradually walking towards that corner, where there were still strange clanging sounds.

"What are you doing?" Dumbledore asked, and when he got closer, he felt his head explode, asking dazedly, "What are you doing!"

Kayson was only wearing underwear… at most, he had a coat draped over him, and his entire body was covered in various marks made with a marker pen. Both of his arms were already bloody, with a silver mark on the outside of his forearm that was almost as long as the forearm itself, and also on the inside of his wrist.

"Me? Alchemy experiments," Kayson glanced at Dumbledore and naturally extended his hand. The next moment, a gleaming silver Hidden Blade suddenly extended from the inside of his wrist, shimmering with faint purple magic.

"Not just this, there's more." The next moment, the silver mark on the outside of his forearm merely flashed, and then two mantis blades, like the giant foreclaws of a praying mantis, sprang out from it, still in a gleaming silver alloy color, shimmering with purple light.

Dumbledore's face was extremely grim, but he still sighed and began to earnestly reason with him: "…Before I returned, only you, Hagrid, and Filch were at Hogwarts… Do you know that if something happened to you, you wouldn't even make it to St. Mungo's?"
