"This guy actually has some skill." Shigure clearly saw that in the first round, both he and the Gambling Demon drew blank charms.
Then the Gambling Demon said, "I want this one!"
He drew another charm, and Shigure also drew a blank.
"The last one!" The Gambling Demon quickly distinguished the last two charms. Before he could act, Shigure drew the other one extremely fast.
"Damn it! That's the one!" The Gambling Demon immediately snatched Shigure's charm, discarding his own.
In the end, the Gambling Demon took Shigure's charm, and Shigure took the discarded one.
"Haha! Kid! All three of mine are blanks! You must have the explosive tag! Bet's a bet, hurry and detonate it!" The Gambling Demon laughed wildly, "Hahahaha! I'm still more skilled!"
"Boss… this…" Shingen was unsure.
"This guy must have a trump card," Tsunade whispered.
As for Shigure, he smiled at the Gambling Demon, making the latter uneasy.
"Something's off!" The Gambling Demon felt it, but Shigure sneered, "A bet is a bet! You're dead this time!"
"Hmph!" Shigure activated the explosive tag. The Gambling Demon stared, shocked.
The blank paper he had snatched from Shigure turned into an explosive tag.
"Damn! I've been tricked!"
"Boom! Boom! Boom!" The explosive detonated. The Gambling Demon probably never understood how he lost.
Though the Gambling Demon claimed mastery, he was a charlatan. Shigure had tampered with the explosive early on.
He left a Flying Thunder God mark on the explosive, turning it into blank paper so all six appeared blank. A trick made the Demon believe the one he held was correct. Eager to win, he was fully trapped.
Gasps of surprise followed, but no one dared act. The Gambling Demon was a wanted criminal and recognized by some.
"Could this be Orochimaru of the Sannin?"
"Indeed! The Gambling Demon is wanted! He came on a mission!"
Those who understood reminded others, making Shigure's Orochimaru disguise unchallenged.
Then Shigure said, "Tsunade, I've paid your gambling debts. Let's talk." He pulled Tsunade to Short-Tailed Street outside the casino.
"Tsunade, there are things to tell you in advance."
"First, I'll tear off your mask! You're not Orochimaru!" Tsunade suddenly punched him.
"Attacking me by surprise? Interesting!" Shigure flew back, leaving a trench on Short-Tailed Street.
"Who are you?" Tsunade demanded.
"As expected of you, Tsunade, how did you know I wasn't Orochimaru?" Shigure asked, blood trickling.
"Orochimaru would never pull me nor help pay my debts," Tsunade said.
"I see, I missed details. I only want to talk with you, senior sister." Shigure vanished with a poof.
"Shadow Clone?! When?!" Tsunade was incredulous, having seen no hand signs.
Then, Shigure's sword hilt pressed against her neck.
"I am not your enemy. I'm your junior brother, Uchiha Shigure, the Third Hokage's last disciple." Shigure sheathes the Dragon Fang Blade.
"Tsunade… I have an impression… how are you such a small child?" Tsunade turned, shocked to see Shigure.
"I heard the old pervert had a new disciple, young, but I didn't expect him to be so young!" Tsunade was surprised.
"Alright… can we sit and talk…" Shigure looked around; their fight attracted a crowd.
"Whatever you want to say… it's nothing to me." Tsunade turned coldly, walking away, unlike the future Fifth Hokage.
Shigure shook his head, "In this world, many say 'it's none of your business,' but if that's the case, isn't that irresponsible? As a Konoha ninja, don't you care for the Land of Fire's safety?"
"Countless died for Konoha. Do you want their deaths to be meaningless?"
"Brat! Don't lecture like you understand war! You're just a kid!" Tsunade snapped.
Afterward, she shook her head, "Sorry, I refuse… go back!"
Shigure stayed calm, "Have you seen war? Because of Nawaki and Dan's deaths? Did you escape with alcohol and gambling? Escape memories? Future?"
"Where did you hear those names?!" Tsunade's sadness triggered.
"How disappointing… the Senju clan fallen so low? Is the Will of Fire alive in you?"
"Say what you want! I won't listen to an Uchiha brat!" Tsunade walked away.
"Pathetic… The female ninja taught by Sarutobi-sensei ending like this? Not even genin level! Konoha's genin protect with kunai. Many lost loved ones, yet protect Konoha. You failed," Shigure pleaded, unable to stop her.
Finally, Shigure revealed his trump card.
"Tsunade! Dan and Nawaki wanted Hokage! They'd die for approval! They died happily! But you?"
"What's the point of living… You erased what they gave you, Tsunade…" Shigure almost gave up. Tsunade had walked far.
"Kid…" Tsunade suddenly stopped, shouting.
Tears streamed down her face as she clenched fists, "Brat! You're right, I can't live like this anymore… Before I'm reborn, I still want to beat you up!"
