"Because I have too much money, I want to reduce it a bit." Uchiha Shiyu didn't care about such a small amount.
"Uh… alright, since the boss says so, I'll do as you say." Shingen nodded, placing his two million on 'small'.
However, because so many bet on 'small', the odds meant Shingen wouldn't win a huge sum, but it was good that both he and Shiyu bet large amounts.
"No more bets! No more bets!"
"I bet on 'big'!" Shiyu placed several million chips on 'big'.
Tsunade finally looked up, freezing when she saw Orochimaru.
"Impossible! This must be a triple! 'Big' or 'small' will both lose!" Tsunade, stubborn and prejudiced, still looked like a gambling addict despite seeing Shiyu disguised as Orochimaru.
"Open!"
"One, two, three! Six points, 'small'!"
"Wow! Exactly as the boss said!" Shingen's eyes gleamed.
Tsunade was speechless; all her money was gone.
"Can I get credit?" she asked.
"No, you've exhausted even Konoha's pay-later limit. This uncle lost millions without blinking," the dealer said.
"Why are you here?" Tsunade patted her head in despair.
"You seem unwilling to quit gambling. Want me to gamble for you? The winnings will pay your debts," Shiyu offered.
"You'd be that kind? Besides, your luck's no good—you lost betting 'big'," Tsunade teased.
"How much do you owe?" Shiyu asked in Orochimaru's voice.
"Not much, ten million ryo," the dealer replied.
"That'll take two rounds at most," Shiyu said, starting to gamble for Tsunade.
"Clang-a-lang-lang!" The dealer shook the dice cup skillfully onto the table.
Shiyu once again saw through the dice by thought.
"Six, six, six—eighteen points, a triple!" Shiyu bet all his chips on the triple.
"Excuse me, I'm all in," Shiyu said calmly.
Tsunade sighed, patting her head.
"He really can't be taught… betting triples again… this Orochimaru dude…"
"This is interesting—is he another big fat sheep?!"
"A triple? So unlikely… is this for real?"
"Millions in chips all in?"
"Boss! Seriously?" Even Shingen was incredulous.
"Trust me, bet the triple," Shiyu stated.
"I trust you! Boss! I trust you!" Shingen covered the triple with all his chips as well.
Everyone else laughed, betting on 'big' or 'small,' none on the triple.
"Bluffing by going all in? Newbie!" Gamblers went all in on 'big' and 'small,' confident of victory.
"No more bets!"
"Open! Six, six, six—a triple!" Even the dealer was shocked; the impossible happened.
"We won!" Shingen cheered.
Tsunade looked dumbfounded.
"Yes! Triple! I knew it! But last round I didn't bet on it!" Tsunade's gambler's pride made Shiyu smile.
"No way! A real triple?"
"How strange!"
"I give up! How can this happen?!"
Gamblers shook their heads, penniless after going all in.
Shiyu and Shingen, however, gained big enough to cover Tsunade's debt.
"Young man, you won all my customers' money! Not simple—what's your background?" the dealer asked suspiciously.
"I'm just ordinary… isn't this enough to pay her debts?" Shiyu replied, still in Orochimaru's voice.
"It's enough, but this is more than paying off debts... Everyone here knows me as the Gambling Demon of Tanzaku Gai."
"Today, I deal with you!" The dealer removed his jacket, instantly donned an elegant suit and a cape.
If accompanied by music, Shiyu thought it was a dramatic scene.
"Gambling Demon!? The ninja world's Gambling Demon! It's him!"
"I heard he never lost, gambling with lives!"
"An addict who gambled with life or death; he was hunted, went into hiding, and retired!"
"This young man won't have an easy time."
Tsunade was surprised, "Gambling Demon!?"
"Oh? You know him?" Shiyu asked.
"Who is he? Why haven't I heard of him?" Tsunade had no idea.
"Me neither… what's all this nonsense…" Shiyu sweated; had he really transmigrated into Naruto?
Shingen pulled Shiyu, whispering, "Boss, they're serious! The Gambling Demon gambled with lives and killed losers. The Five Great Nations hunted him, he had to hide and retire."
"But today, he reveals himself! You must have attracted his attention, boss!"
Shiyu coughed softly, telling Tsunade, "We have no choice but to brace ourselves."
"Uh…" Tsunade was lost.
"What are we gambling?" asked Shiyu.
"Our lives…" the Gambling Demon answered.
"My life's more valuable. I was asking what we're actually gambling on…" Shiyu thought the Demon foolish.
"You're the guest, so you choose!" the Gambling Demon said confidently.
"You want to gamble with lives? Fine."
"I have five blank papers and one explosive tag." Shiyu pulled out six identical talismans.
"We each draw one; in the end, we'll each have three talismans. I'll trigger the explosive. Whoever dies loses," Shiyu calmly explained.
Everyone immediately stepped back.
"Uh…" Even the Gambling Demon sweated.
"A one-in-six chance of survival? Interesting!" The Gambling Demon said, "I'll go first since you're guest!"
"Shameless!" Shiyu and Tsunade muttered.
"Draw!" Shiyu tossed the talismans into the air. The Gambling Demon jumped and drew one, then Shiyu drew one as well.
