Mabel stepped out of her office and spotted Ryan. She smiled sweetly at him.
"Ryan, how are you? Aren't you going to the Pack's annual festival?" she asked.
The Blood Moon Pack held a special festival each year, where Alphas from different regions gathered to worship the Moon Goddess. Of course, Ryan was expected to attend.
"I am going," he replied.
Suddenly, Mia spoke up. She had been quietly listening and was now clearly curious.
"Going where?" she asked, eyeing Mabel.
Mabel turned to her, her voice laced with flirtation. "You wouldn't understand—it's something between us."
Mia looked at Ryan, confused. Before she could respond, he gently grabbed her hand and led her out of the office. Once outside, he lifted her onto a desk, standing between her legs as he tried to explain.
"What was she talking about?" Mia asked.
"We have a festival in our pack," Ryan said. "All the Alphas are expected to attend with their respective Lunas. It's a tradition—everyone comes together to worship the Moon Goddess."
"Oh… so we're going?" Mia asked hopefully.
"We? I'm going alone."
"Why?" she frowned.
"Come on, love," Ryan said gently. "I'd love to take you, but you might feel out of place. Everyone there will be a werewolf."
"I won't," Mia said firmly. "And besides, I'm going to be Luna someday, right? I should meet them now. Or… are you planning to replace me?"
Ryan chuckled, wrapping his arms around her waist. "Oh no, baby. Never. If you really want to come, okay—you can. Just don't say I didn't warn you."
"Okay," Mia said with a small smile.
She knew there would be challenges, but she was determined to go. She wouldn't let anyone—especially Mabel—take her place. After all, she was the Luna.
