Suzan sat on the ground at the pack's training field, thinking about Ryan. She missed him deeply. She wondered what could ever come between Mia and Ryan.
As she sat lost in thought, a male wolf walked up to her.
"Hey, beautiful. How about we talk for a few minutes?" he said.
"No, thanks," Suzan replied.
"Come on, why would a pretty girl like you be sitting here all alone?" he asked again.
"I said, get away!" she snapped, clearly annoyed.
"The Alpha already has a mate. Maybe it's time to move on," he added with a smirk.
Suzan froze in shock. How did he know? How did they all know?
"The Alpha isn't with anyone. I will still be his Luna," she said angrily and walked away.
"I doubt that," the male wolf said, laughing.
Suzan ran to her room and burst into tears. Why didn't Ryan love her? She had rejected her true mate just for him, but he kept ignoring her.
She sat on her bed, frustrated and heartbroken. She was beautiful, with curves that others admired, yet Ryan still didn't look her way.
Crying softly, she prayed to the Moon Goddess to make Ryan love her.
Eventually, she cried herself to sleep.
