"Yes," Louise handed him a photo: Randall in the center, Lucy to his left, Terry to his right. Randall was handsome and cheerful, Terry bald and slightly bloated, and Lucy appeared innocent.
"The three were high school classmates and close friends," Louise explained.
Lin Chen activated the water mirror phase, scanning their auras and past trajectories. After a long sigh, he looked at Louise.
"Randall has indeed passed away," he said gently.
Louise's tears fell, but she still wanted closure. "Master, please tell me… how did he die, and who did it?"
Lin Chen nodded. "The murderer is Terry. He and Lucy were secretly involved even before Randall's death. Though Randall treated Lucy kindly, she manipulated Terry into killing him during a morning jog. They then buried him."
The Widow Sister peeked from behind the camera. "Why kill Randall? Couldn't they have just divorced?"
Lin Chen shook his head. "Terry and Lucy wanted wealth and comfort. Randall was kind, but they cared only about the house and insurance money."

Louise hesitated. "I… I'll think about calling the police today."
