Lin Chen shook his head as he walked in and grabbed Catwoman's arm. She flopped onto him dramatically, pouting, "Stinky Taoist priest, how can you just ignore me!"
"Aren't you going to challenge the Jiugong Bagua Array?" Lin Chen teased.
"Hmph, take me out!" Catwoman grabbed his hand tightly, refusing to let go. Lin Chen had no choice but to lead her to lie down comfortably.
Meanwhile, Harley handed the jade pendant to Catwoman and stepped back a few meters. "Hey, I don't feel anything, but this jade pendant is amazing!"
"Master, you're incredible!" Harley's eyes sparkled with admiration.
Lin Chen glanced at her, a faint smile tugging at his lips, "You three really don't know how to behave, do you?"
After a round of complaints from Catwoman and Sister Widow, the four of them decided they wanted to go shopping. Lin Chen sighed but ended up sending them to the shopping street.
When he got a break, Jill called him for help moving. Lin Chen drove the nanny car to Jill's place downstairs, walked up, and found two large boxes already packed and ready.
"Dear beautiful detective, you've worked hard. I'll help press it for you!" Lin Chen placed a hand on Jill's shoulder.
Jill rolled her eyes playfully. "Hurry up! I still have to move everything else."
The two of them worked together to load and organize everything. Once finished, Lin Chen handed Jill the jade pendant.
"This is the key to the formation of this gate. Even if you drive in and out, you must wear it."
Jill cuddled into Lin Chen's embrace, admiring the pendant. "Wow… this feels amazing! It stores spiritual energy, nourishes the body, calms the mind, and even improves skin!"
Lin Chen shook his head, smiling. "I only give these to people close to me."
Jill grinned, delighted. Together, they loaded the last boxes into the car and drove to the new location. Jill stood in the courtyard, arms open, taking in the view of the bay beneath the mountain and the sparkling sea.
"The scenery here is beautiful, the air is fresh, and the aura is perfect!"
Lin Chen hugged her from behind. "You're enjoying it too much. Can't you just appreciate it quietly?"
The Gotham police, busy as ever, had no time to rest. Lin Chen took a short nap before returning to pick up the three shopping-crazed women. Their bags bulged as they chattered loudly, comparing cosmetics and clothes.
Natasha Romanoff laughed, "Next time I take you to New York, you'll see where I shop. Affordable and stylish!"
Lin Chen interjected, teasingly, "Aren't you a poor college student? Why shop so often?"
Sister Widow rolled her eyes. "Who says college students can't shop?"
As Lin Chen parked the car outside his villa, he noticed a crowd and, unsurprisingly, the real estate agent Pharaoh.
"My house is so popular, why would anyone want to buy it?" Lin Chen asked.
Lao Wang approached, embarrassed. "Mr. Lin, a big buyer is interested in your villa. The price is… substantial. This time, you could make double profit."
Lin Chen frowned. "Pharaoh, if anyone asks to buy this house again, I won't sell it, even for ten times the price."
Pharaoh bowed. "Understood, boss. No more nonsense."
Just then, a stylish Asian woman approached and handed Lin Chen a business card.
"Mr. Lin, I'm Mercy, Lex Luthor's personal assistant."
Lin Chen glanced at her, then nodded. "Mercy, what's the matter?"
"My boss loves your villa and is willing to pay twice the price," she said.
Lin Chen shook his head. "I said it once—this house isn't for sale, no matter the price."
Mercy grinned. "Mr. Luthor is persistent. He never gives up."
Lin Chen smirked. "Persistent to the point of disease. He should get therapy."
Sister Widow burst out laughing. Harley tried to hide her smile behind her hand.
Mercy called back to Luthor. "Boss, Daoist Lin refuses to sell. He says you're not comparable to Wayne or Stark."
Luthor, obsessed from childhood, responded calmly: "Fine. Buy his neighbor's villa first. I'll meet him in person later."
Back at home, Lin Chen prepared food while Catwoman and Harley argued over what to eat.
"Daoist, I want yesterday's Spicy Jie!" Harley whined.
Lin Chen glared. "Today, we make dumplings."
Sister Widow pouted. "What's so special about dumplings?"
An hour later, all three women dug into the dumplings with gusto. Catwoman worried about gaining weight. Harley admired Catwoman's tolerance, and Sister Widow playfully snatched dumplings from Harley.
Lin Chen sighed. "Looks like I'm destined to be the thief of these women's lives."
After dinner, he wandered into the courtyard, scrolling on his phone and starting a live broadcast. Hundreds of thousands of viewers joined immediately.
"Daoist, livestream again or I'll take Guan Xiao!"
"Master, I've missed you for over forty hours!" Poison Ivy typed.
Lin Chen smiled. "I've been busy moving these past two days."
Sharp-eyed viewers noticed Widow Sister sweeping the courtyard in the background.
"Master, who's that red-haired girl? New here?"
"She's just an aunt I invited," Lin Chen replied casually.
"Auntie?! Daoist, could you have a little more Versailles?"
"Give me a dozen aunties like this!" one viewer cheered.
"Calm down, maybe she's a dinosaur in disguise," another joked.
