A few hours had passed since the Mirrorglaive ambushed Erin, stole her identity and went into the bunker with the others, leaving Erin's unconscious body completely vulnerable in the open.
Luckily, when the mirrorglaive knocked her unconscious, her Riftbrand stopped flaring. The whole reason the mark pulsed in the first place was due to Her being conscious.
However, the two giant Mutated Crabs that were still a few meters away from where everything went down couldn't sense anything. Their beacon was gone, thereby, leaving them with nothing.
So as the somewhat intelligent beast that they were, they crawled back into the ground.

Erin's body laid on the bare ground, still and unmoving but her mind…her mind was very much active. For every time she was knocked unconscious, she found herself in a dream-like world, except it wasn't a dream. It was something similar to her subconscious.
