Violet slowly awoke to the feeling of pain encompassing her entire right side. She grimaced at the sharp pang of it and had to hold back from letting out a growl of frustration. This was the most injured she had ever gotten from a single fight before and she was not all too eager to experience something similar again.
She did quickly check both her bond and look about only to relax slightly when she felt and saw Luna lying next to her. She wasn't exactly the picture of health but she looked to be in a decent enough condition which reassured the young dragon to no end. Once she was satisfied enough with her and her companions current condition she finally opened up her notifications.

'Well' thought violet 'that was a lot!' And indeed it was, she hadn't caught a creature at a higher evolution stage since the arborial ape. But comparing that overgrown monkey to that fire drake was laughable at best and downright insulting at worst. Even more so when you consider that this drake was also a champion beast much like Luna was. It was after all the second champion beast that she had met and now defeated.
And then their was her new skill, pain tolerance. If that skill was enabling her to handle pain better she dredded to imagine what she would feel like if she didn't have that skill given how much pain she was still in.
Wanting to get a better look at herself she slowly craned her neck up to look down at herself and she was unable to hold back a sharp growl of surprise. Along basically her entire right side a long jagged line of puncture wounds was visible starting at her right shoulder blade and ending mid stomach. To join that her skin below was blistered and burnt thanks to the nature of the fire drake.
So all in all she was in quite the sorry state, heavily injured, in a lot of pain and probabally unable to put any weight into her right side anytime soon. Other than that she had advanced a number of skills and leveled twice from it so the fight definitely resulted in some positives. She just wished the downsides weren't so drastic.
But now she was more confident in her condition and had confirmed that Luna was still alive and simply resting she finally looked at her surroundings. They arrested to be in a shallow cave, likley still in the canyon and against one of the walls of said canyon. They looked to be decently hidden from view which had likely saved them both from any stray monsters happening across them as they rested.
Satisfied with that she lowered her head back down and allowed herself to relax somewhat whilst enjoying the improved companion bond and how sclose she could feel with Luna, even whilst she slept their bond felt like a warm blanket that soothed any worries the dragon may be feeling. Whilst the bond was shown as nearly a level on her status page to her it was so much more.
It signified her connection with someone that she had grown to deeply care for. Violet was unable and unwilling to even imagine her life without Luna in her life. The dragon knew that she would do anything to keep her by her side, even if that meant charging head first into a camp full of orcs or fighting foes that left her on deaths door. But for Luna, for her companion she would do that and so much more.
As the young dragon settled down besides Luna a feeling of contentment began to radiate from her as she observed the sleeping form of the Arctic leopard Beaskin besides her. She was a contradiction in so many ways, she was fragile in matters of emotion having already suffered so much yet was a feirce warrior that could charge head first at a beast several sizes larger than herself. She was strange, silly and caring. And most importantly of all, she was hers. A feeling that Violet didn't quite know what to make of was slowly building up within the young dragon but it was still budding and Violet was in no rush to figure out exactly what that feeling meant. All she needed to know right now was that she was with her companion and that so long as they stayed together everything would work out in the end.
