Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 — The Abyss Successor

The silence after the Abyss Dragon's death was deafening.

Where once the Throne of the Abyss roared with malice and despair, now only drifting motes of void-light lingered, fading like the embers of a dying fire. In the center of that hushed ruin stood Kael, clutching two relics that radiated with impossible power: the Dungeon Core and the Abyss Dragon's Core.

Around him, his legions bowed in reverence.

Pyraflame, wreathed in molten fire, bent its colossal neck low.

Aquara, wings dripping with crystalline tidewater, folded them in humility.

Umbra and Luminara, light and shadow intertwined, knelt in perfect synchronicity.

Terrathorn, Voltra, and Zephyros stood rooted yet reverent, their armies mirroring their act.

Graknar the Chieftain, once an independent titan, lowered his massive frame, pride eclipsed by respect.

From kobolds to beastmen, from treants to goblins, from humble miners to Sovereigns—all bent to him.

Kael was no longer merely their master. He was their Sovereign, the one who had defied and surpassed the abyss itself.

The crystalline sphere pulsed in Kael's hand. With each thrum, visions unfurled before his eyes—vast caverns forming, halls of endless trial, landscapes that bent to his command.

His breath caught. He could make a dungeon of his own. A place where his summons could grow, train, and evolve endlessly.

But Kael closed his hand around it, storing the core in his Inventory."Not here. Not yet. The surface comes first."

The second relic blazed like a miniature star. Dark flame and abyssal light spiraled in eternal conflict within it. The moment Kael touched it, agony and ecstasy surged through his body.

Kael's muscles tensed as raw abyssal essence poured into his soul. His veins glowed faintly blue, his heartbeat thundered like war drums, and his eyes flickered with the same void-fire as the Abyss Dragon's.

The ground shook. The abyssal citadel cracked apart, the Throne crumbling as rivers of black fire bled into the void. The dungeon itself had begun to die.

"Master…" Luminara's voice quivered, her radiance dimming. "The dungeon—it is collapsing."

Kael looked out at the battlefield that had been his crucible, his cage, and his proving ground. Memories of struggle, hunger, pain, and triumph flashed before him.

And then he smiled faintly."Then let it vanish. I've taken everything it had to give."

The ground shattered. Light consumed all.

When Kael stepped forward again, it was onto real earth.

The sky stretched above him, painted with dawn. A breeze, cool and untainted, brushed his face. The abyss was gone. For the first time in years, Kael stood beneath the sun.

His summons appeared around him, blinking at the sight. Treants reached for the sky as though greeting an old friend. Beastmen cried out, their roars echoing with relief. Kobolds shielded their eyes from the brightness, overwhelmed. Even the Sovereigns, mighty and eternal, looked skyward in reverent awe.

Behind them, the abyss collapsed entirely, the dungeon folding into itself until it was gone—erased from the world.

Notifications resounded one last time:

Kael clenched his fists, feeling the abyssal fire pulsing in his veins. He had entered the abyss alone, broken and weak.

Now he walked out as the Sovereign of Thirty-Two Thousand Summons, heir to the Abyss Dragon.

His Sovereigns lowered themselves once more, their voices rising as one, echoing like a hymn across the dawn-lit fields:

"To our Sovereign. To the Abyss Dragon's Successor."

And so, Kael left the abyss behind—not as a survivor, but as a conqueror whose legion could now shake the surface world itself.
