The roar of the sports car was particularly loud on the street.
Thea Shaw came out wearing only pajamas. She had her phone with her, but just as she fished it out to play, a cold voice reached her ear: "You came out with me just to look at your phone?"
Thea quietly put her phone back in her pocket: "There's such a long way to go, what else am I supposed to look at if not my phone?"
Landon Ford: "Can't you just look at me?"
Thea: "..."
But I can't keep looking at you for hours, can I?
So she tried her best to find a topic: "Haven't you been quite busy lately?"
"Very busy." Landon wasn't pleased: "That old man hasn't been behaving lately, keeping me busy, so you'd better behave yourself too."
Thea was immediately annoyed: "How am I not behaving? Your words have a lot of implications, you know that? I've been cooped up at home all day, haven't gone anywhere, how can you randomly blame me?"
