Chapter 13 - 013

Ilgrair Kingdom was a kingdom with a high-tier dungeon.

Actually, there was no classification such as this in the past. But just as the divine message warned... The dungeons were indeed behaving rather strangely nowadays.

For the dungeons having such tier differences and how they ended like that was probably dependent on how much damage they were dealt by adventurers in the past. So if we just complied with the warning, the dungeons today shouldn't have been this a problem.

For our kingdom to have a dungeon with a tier this high... It only shows how neglectful we've become.

On the contrary, those kingdoms that somehow showed concern have acquired at least a prosperity that allows them to get their technologies to some level. Well, as was originally feared, they indeed were now short of resources with their dungeons only having low-tier condition.

At this rate, their adventurers will struggle to reach another level, and the materials for their technologies will also be insufficient. They can send their adventurers to other kingdoms for shared adventuring and extracting, but chances are they don't get accepted. Especially if relations between kingdoms are not very good.

But for me, I wouldn't be so sad.

Those kingdoms with high-tier dungeons were now suffering great losses due to unstable and undeterminable turn of events in the place. It was difficult to assign where to specifically put the adventurers on accords of their ranks. So basically in comparison between those who have high and those who have low, the side in losing was definitely the kingdoms with high-tier dungeons. Well sure the future was there, but it will no longer matter if the kingdom is lost before that awaited time.

That said, instead of adventurers, monsters are the ones who are visiting us now.

...

After giving ourselves convenience, we stepped past the gate, headed to the capital, and looked for a transport to the dungeon area.

Several days have passed...

"Aah...!"

We arrived at the adventurers' city.

Apparently, this is what is called to every place where adventurer gathers. It's common knowledge.

A place solely dedicated to aiding adventurers. From adventuring items, market for their loot, to spaces where they could rest and stay. Of course, restaurants and pubs won't be absent. All that adventurers will need is gathered here in one place. There was no need to go to hometown to refresh one's preparation.

Having a place like this really saves time.

After registering for the guild, I received a rank of dazzling F. Well, there's nothing we can do about it. This is my first after all.

Looking at my side...

"Which makes it two of us... "

This was also Palma's first adventuring.

Surprisingly though, these two were ranked B. What, do they really indifferently leave their posts and regularly come here for adventure? What negligence.

So we are rank F. Normally we shouldn't be allowed here but with Yellow and Gold being B, we are now in a B-class area.

In every class area, there was a supervisor. So it would be troublesome to sneak in. You see, I want to finish this dungeon immediately. With my identity being hidden until then of course.

So if there were people supervising the place, I would not be able to wreak havoc.

I've already covered this area that time I passed through here. I wanted to at least get past the place where I woke up.

But I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings, so... Maybe that was a class A area? I can't remember exactly.

"Oh, you want to fight us?"

Talking teasingly, Gold brought out his broadsword from its sheath which was strapped on his back.

A giant plump white monster was standing before us. It's covered with fur. However, rather than being soft in accordance with its look, it appears to me that each of them was sharp.

"So thin... "

Palma uttered.

The monster's fur flows around the atmosphere. However, due to how thin they were, they were barely visible.

"Such tricks ain't gonna work!"

Gold exclaimed with a burst of aura dazzlingly glowing in gold from him.

"Golden slash!!!"

Sending a golden slash, the monster was cut into two.

'How easy.'

Seeing how helplessly the poor guy was hit by the sword, you won't even know if you will laugh or show pity. Imagine Gold ignoring the splash of fur and just cutting the poor guy right in the face.

If they are not monsters, you could say it was really horrid.

But...

I shifted my sight to the half monster. Its sliced parts were smeared with gold. After several seconds... It began turning into a dark gaseous state then vanished into nothingness.

...

Whooshhh...

...

You can hardly feel pity over something this valueless.

'Seriously, what even is this dungeon made of?'

Gold swept the furs in the air off from the area with a swing of his broadsword.

"There. No problem."

Putting his sword back in its sheath, Gold presented the cleared area.

'Well, indeed... '

Picking a piece from the ground, I analysed the quality of the fur.

'...This can be horrible for weaker adventurers.'

I let go of the fur simply letting it fall to the ground as we continued walking. Behind me, despite how I couldn't see it, I know the fur pierced through the solid ground. That's how dangerous it was.

We met another one. Yellow took care of it. He was just using the sword and maybe the knight's fighting style. He was probably using his mana as a physical enhancer.

As expected, fighting it physically was a challenge. One would at least need a strong discharge of aura to remain unscathed. Yellow was now struggling to get near. The spread of furs was holding him back.

"This is not good... "

"Hmm?"

Hearing what Yellow uttered, it made me wonder. Come to think of it, why are they using their skills on monsters this weak?

"Air slash."

The monster was cut open.

'Ugh... '

So it ended up to just one hitting it, huh?

"Aah... These furs really are a problem."

Mentally worn out, Yellow began complaining.

"Well, that's because we're still too weak."

Gold came, convincing Yellow it was normal.

"What are you two complaining about?"

Could not get a grasp of what was happening, I just asked for clarification.

"Well, you see, our guy here wants it easy. You know, to be strong enough that he won't need to guard himself up over a nuisance as simple as fur."

"It's so irritating!" - Yellow exclaimed in frustration.

"Sigh... It's not a simple fur you know?"

What an idiot. But, well... I indeed picked it up like nothing just now.

Hoping for yourself to reach my level... You can keep dreaming.

But aren't they elite knights? Walking through the fur without giving it a care, they should be at least on that level. If they're only this weak... No wonder Hara would be so disgusted around them.

'But of course, there is no way they are. They won't be in the castle otherwise.'

We kept moving forward.

Every class area was vast. So it shouldn't be mistaken that inappropriate rankers will be put in the wrong class area.

They won't be able to come back alive; to put it simply.

We've encountered different types of monsters at different levels. Compared to the little games these two were doing with the fur monsters, they were now like speechless in concentration.

We are now facing a giant wolf. Intense black in color, causing a lightning disaster of skill. As for its size...

"Surely this shouldn't be allowed outside, won't you agree?"

I uttered sharing the idea with them.

"What are the kingdoms doing!? Are all dungeons like this!? Why is a monster of this danger rate being left alive in a dungeon!? Class B area at that...!"

Clearly furious, Yellow let those words burst out along with the thunders that were exploding in the sky. Yes. This dungeon has its own sky!

...Standing like little nobodies in front of the ferocious beast, we were looking up to it in the size of its toe.

"This one is gigantic alright!" - exclaimed Gold as he swayed his broadsword to the side filling it with an enormous amount of magic power.

"Star... Destroyer!"

Disappearing in an instant and reappearing in the sky in dazzling gold bright, Gold was descending at intense speed.

Mixing in with the murky disrupted atmosphere where smokes of clouds were aggressively patrolling, a golden light was lively overtaking the scene, descending on a certain point; the wolf's head!

Halfway through, he exclaimed...

"Die!!!"

POOORGSHH!!! POORGSHH!!! POOORGSHH!!!

That heroic cry could be heard along with the thunders that were reigning over the place. The golden light of hope which was glowing brightly in the sky was without doubt taking the scene until... It vanishes after a massive bolt of lightning passes through it.

"AAAAAARGHHH!!!"

He cried as his bones seemed to appear within the bolt.

"DRAY!!!"

"...!"

"..."

'Sigh... I seriously didn't see that coming.'

Swaying my head from side to side, I thought of that thought, rather ashamed of why I get my hopes up.
