The fight erupts.
Karu's fist slams into Zen's defences at lighting speed. Lava hisses under their feet. Blows crash together. Swords screech. Both move faster than the eye can follow.
Zen twists, ducks, strikes back. Every move bursts with calculated power. Red and purple mana flare across the battlefield with every exchange.
"Karu" Zen shouts, swinging from above. Karu ducks. A laugh spills from his chest. "Too slow" he taunts. Legs sweep in a blur.
Zen crashes backward, ribs aching from the impact. He rolls, spits blood, springs to his feet. Black mana coils faintly around him.
Karu's grin vanishes. His eyes flare brighter. He lunges forward. Heat from his flames makes the air almost molten. He feels it brush his skin and it tastes like iron.
A demon watches Yui train with Zen. Its eyes widen. "He can see me even with my mana disguised" it gasps.
Zen glances toward Yui but sees nothing. He raises an eyebrow. "Yui" he whispers, confused. Yui ignores him, stepping forward with slow measured steps.
"Stay here" Yui mutters coldly, moving toward the demon. Zen starts to speak. "I'm coming t-" but in a blink he hits the ground. Blood trickles from his mouth. Yui glances down, murmuring. "Sorry"
Yui's expression stays stone as he locks eyes with the demon. "There's two of you. Come out and fight" The demon's eyes widen. "This kid's good" it admits, teeth gritting in surprise.
They advance. Yui points backward. "Who's gonna die first" he mutters low and menacing. "Cuz I'm not gonna wait any longer" His eyes darken, slowly shifting into a devilish purple.
The demon's grin widens. "Bad move kid"
From behind Yui a demon charges. Its fist crackles with lightning. Shockwaves tear the air. "Lightning mana huh" Yui mutters, vanishing behind the attacker.
The demon gasps, snapping its gaze to Yui. "Too slow" Ren hisses. Left hand dripping blood. Purple blood sprays the ground. Yui smirks, feeling the pulse in his chest. The adrenaline curls like fire.
He looks at the decapitated head, blood dripping from his hand. A grin spreads. "That was kinda fun" He turns to the next target. The demon falters. "Scrap this" it mutters, releasing fire from its legs. "I'd rather be killed by the master than that... that devil" it thinks. Its eyes shake.
"Pointless" Yui mutters, reappearing behind the demon. He grabs its head, squeezing. "Mercy... mercy" the creature whispers. "Mercy huh" Yui says, tossing the head into the air. Black mana lashes out. "Boom" The body vanishes as it collides with the ground. Yui breathes deep, scanning.
"Just as I suspected, there's still more of you vermin" Yui says, eyes narrowing. Wind whips his hair. Rain lashes against his skin. Steps draw near. He lunges back, lungs burning. A vortex of mana spirals as thunder cracks. "Now come get closer" he taunts.
"A barrier huh" a voice echoes. "All I need is one tap"
Yui claps his hands, expanding the barrier. Wind howls. Rain hammers the shield. "SHOW YOURSELF" he shouts. "Think twice before you say something" the demon mutters, vanishing before the barrier. Face hidden beneath a straw hat.
Yui smirks, chest heaving. "Now try and bre-" His breath catches as the demon taps the barrier. "One tap" it says coldly. Fragments clatter to the floor.
This is basically a filler episode just to showcase Yui
