At the peak of the Himalayas, Bai Ye sat alone atop the snowy summit, legs crossed, as still as a meditating monk.
An invisible field spread out from his body. In the next instant, the space around him seemed to freeze—countless drifting snowflakes stopped in mid-air, suspended as if time itself had halted.
Bai Ye slowly raised his right hand and gently tapped a lump of rock.
In the blink of an eye, the fist-sized stone was crushed as though subjected to tens of millions of tons of force, compressed into an ultra-dense crystal heated to tens of thousands of degrees.
Then Bai Ye lightly swept his right arm across the snow-covered peak. Instantly, the entire mountaintop was shattered into dust under his power, collapsing like a massive avalanche.
Yet even as the mountain beneath him crumbled away, Bai Ye himself remained suspended in mid-air, defying gravity.
"Interesting."The corner of Bai Ye's lips curled upward as a hint of satisfaction flashed through his eyes.
After a dozen seconds of adapting, he already had a rough understanding of the strength of the ability he had just awakened.
This "field" happened to solve the greatest inconvenience in his current life. It allowed him to either evenly disperse all the force he generated across every point of contact… or concentrate it into a single point.
Based on his calculations just now, with his current control, he could compress the strength of his entire body into one square centimeter and unleash it instantly.
Or he could spread the field evenly across a radius of several dozen meters—matching the size of his Hollow Space—achieving an effect similar to the Biological Forcefield of Superman in DC Comics.
Within this field, by interfering with and redirecting the transmission of force, he could now simulate flight: using the explosive force of certain muscle groups while having one foot metaphorically "step" on the other to rise upward.
Suspended high in the air, Bai Ye suddenly activated every muscle in his body.
Every muscle fiber throughout his body fired simultaneously. Hundreds of thousands of tons of power exploded at once, propelling his entire body upward.
In a single second, his speed skyrocketed to dozens of times the speed of sound as he shot toward outer space.
Along the way, he pierced through layer after layer of the atmosphere. A speed that could ordinarily create devastating storms was now completely smoothed out by his field, leaving the world eerily calm in his wake.
With a sudden stop, Bai Ye hovered in mid-air, feeling out the new capabilities of his internal field.
With this ability, when he threw a punch, it was no longer just the destructive force generated by coordinated core and limb movement.
Instead, every muscle fiber in his entire body twisted together like a rope, exploding through his fist in an instant.
What pressed behind his punch was not merely his knuckles—but his back, his legs, his waist, even his eyelids.
This concentration effect allowed each punch to possess more than ten times his previous strength—essentially granting him a constant "Kaiōken-like" buff.
At the same time, if any force was applied to his body, he could disperse that force across every cell from head to toe with a single thought.
Unless the attack could instantly exceed the total limit of force his entire body could withstand—unless it could obliterate him in a single moment—it would be unable to shake him even slightly.
So although his stat panel hadn't changed, his actual combat power had increased to a terrifying degree.
And inside the chat group, the moment Bai Ye mastered his field, the group's level shot from 4 to 5 in an instant—reaching the "Block-Level Destruction" threshold.
"This ability helps me too much," Bai Ye said with deep satisfaction.
Pure increases in raw strength didn't mean much to him. Even a thousand-fold or ten-thousand-fold increase would only take him a few dozen days of training to achieve.
But now, with this field, he could finally live a normal life—no longer afraid of accidentally exploding someone because he failed to control his strength, or accidentally destroying everything within dozens of meters during a nightmare.
"As for this last ability—'Self-Limitation'… what is it?"Bai Ye stared at the still-unawakened third ability on his description panel, a flicker of greedy anticipation rising in his heart.
The first ability gave him a Hollow Space he could freely enter and exit.
The second strengthened his power tenfold and solved serious daily-life problems.
Then what would this third ability be?
…
Inside the chat group, many people quickly noticed Bai Ye's level-up and were stunned by his skyrocketing power progression.
Kandai Kana stared at Bai Ye's rating. In her impression, he had barely reached Level 4 less than a month ago. At this rate… was he going to level up once every month?
[Kandai Kana]: Congratulations, Senior Bai, on reaching Level 5.[Gentleman's Sword]: Congratulations, Senior Bai, on reaching Level 5.[Master Luo]: Congratulations, Senior Bai, on reaching Level 5.
Soon the entire chat group was filled with congratulatory messages. Bai Ye responded shortly after.
[Deep Blue]: No need to be formal. Three days from now, there will be a celebration for my coronation. I invite all of you to attend.
"Uh…"Master Luo stared blankly at Bai Ye's message.
Everyone in the group suddenly remembered—Not long ago, when Bai Ye invited them to visit his world, he had declared war on the entire world. This announcement gave them the same strange feeling again.
The newly-joined Sasuke, however, didn't think much of it. He simply congratulated Bai Ye on his level-up and immediately stated he would attend.
The other group members quickly followed and also agreed.
After soaring through the sky, Bai Ye returned home. Seeing everyone in the group confirm their attendance, he tapped his finger lightly on the windowsill, lost in thought.
…
Two days later, inside a HYDRA base, Nick Fury walked in with a somewhat thin man.
"Dr. Banner," Fury said gravely, "I'll be relying on you for tomorrow's celebration against the White Devil. It may be our last chance."
Banner followed behind him and nodded without hesitation."I understand. I'll do my best. But I'm afraid even the Hulk won't be able to compete with him."
As he spoke, Banner couldn't help sighing internally. He didn't want to be an enemy of Bai Ye.
But Bai Ye was friends with General Ross, and Banner himself was Ross's experimental subject. If Bai Ye continued to rule, he would eventually be found and dissected. Rather than waiting for that day, joining Fury's anti–Bai Ye faction seemed like the only choice.
"It's alright. I've prepared the perfect gift for you."
A glint flashed in Fury's single eye."I'm sure you've heard of Pym Particles. They can enlarge a body proportionally, increasing strength by hundreds of thousands or even millions of times. And we happen to have one last vial."
"Of course I've heard of them. Pym Particles, huh? Tony Stark was just negotiating with Dr. Pym to hand them over, but it clearly wasn't going well. I didn't expect that you managed to get your hands not only on the Pym Particles—but also the Hulk."
A playful voice suddenly sounded from behind Fury, causing his footsteps to freeze instantly, his entire body going stiff.
