Sophia wore the rest of her outfit. Then she embraced Atlas, kissing him on his lips just at the same time I turned to look at him. Atlas didn't push her away. He welcomed the kiss, and he dared look me in the eyes during it.
Anger flared inside me, and I clenched my hands, shifting away from the door quickly to prevent myself from shoving my fist into Sophia's face.
"Wait up!" Sophia yelled.
I stopped, swirling to glare at her. "Why should I? Just because we are partners doesn't mean we need to speak or exchange pleasantries. We are not friends and will never be friends."
Sophia's lips curled downward. "And for the record, I wasn't asking to be your friend. However, it's satisfying to see that anger on your face. I told you, I have Atlas wrapped around my fingers. Now you see."
