Chapter 11 - RUDRA:The Boy who brings changes.

The baby also wore a red coat with a big bow ribbon holding a white flower.

Angela reached toward the baby and said, "Ooh dear, how cute are the ribbon and dress you wear?"

The baby looked at her with a blank face; perhaps he was trying to understand what she said but could not comprehend it.

Then Alice and Reyand moved toward their friends and started chit-chatting.

In the women's corner, the talk flowed:

"Wow, you look gorgeous."

"This dress looks beautiful on you."

"The jewelry looks costly," and many more.

On the other hand, in the men's corner, they were talking about which type of alcohol was at the party, eating food, and silly talks about other girls in today's market when they had gone shopping.

After a long chit-chat, there was Jasmine, who felt isolated because of her younger age. When everyone started playing with kids, she lived alone. Then a small hand holding a flower came near Jasmine, who was standing in the corner.

The baby moved his hand, holding the flower, and tried to make the posture of giving it away while still in the dock of Alice.

Jasmine said with a surprised face, "Are you giving this flower to me?"

Suddenly both Alice and Jasmine were surprised when the baby, moving his head with a nodding posture, said, "Yes."

After some short hesitation, Jasmine took the flower and said, "Thank you."

Watching this view, Adam said, "I think this kid really became the ladies' man."

After this, it was time to name the baby.

In a quick way, Durden said, "Time of preparation—we forget what we named the baby."

After that, Alice said, "Don't be afraid, Durden. I choose what the name will be."

All people started looking to Alice, and she continued, "He has blue eyes, which are quite rare, and we found him at night, and he brought change in our life when he came, so his name will be Rudra, the boy who brings changes."

All people smiled and felt happy to hear that—but a sudden change and silence came to the face of the kid. Then, a smile came to his face—not an exaggerated one, but a decent one, like someone accepting.

Alice lifted the baby to her face and said, "Rudra, welcome to our family."

All people said the same aloud.

Then after this main event, the choosing event began.

In this event, people put down things, and the baby would choose one among them, which would reflect what type of career choice and interest the boy might have in the future.

Everyone brought something that piqued their interest:

Adam brought a small wooden sphere.

Helena brought a bowl.

Jasmine brought a guitar—something new.

After looking at it, Adam asked, "Why did you bring this?" in reaction.

Jasmine said with a cold word, "It's my thought. Why should he want to become like us? Maybe he will choose a different path."

Alice brought a book (a light and holy book), while Angela brought a magic stick. Durden brought a hammer (showing architecture). Reyand brought a nice wooden sword.

They put Rudra in front of those things, at some distance, where he could move and pick what he wanted.

Looking at the things for quite a while, Rudra showed all the faces of people one by one and tilted his head in all directions.

Durden said, "What is he doing?"

In answer, Helena said, "Maybe he is confused about the things."

While watching for quite a while, Alice moved closer to Rudra and said, "In these things, choose something, my boy."

After looking at her for quite a while, Rudra began moving.

People shouted, "Sword!" "Sphere!" "Guitar!" "Magic stick!" and many more.

In the midst of too much shouting, the baby sometimes moved toward the sword, sometimes toward the stick, or the guitar, or the bow.

Then Helena said, "All of you keep quiet; you make him confused."

All people became silent after listening to her words. Then Rudra started moving in one direction and sat near one thing that immediately attracted everyone's eyes.

He held the book.

A bright smile came to Alice's face; she jumped with enjoyment and lifted Rudra.

"My boy, you holy magician," Alice said.

After listening to her, Reyand said with a rude face, "You mama's boy."

Then Helena said, "Don't upset Reyand. Who knows, maybe he'll choose another passion in the future?"

That brought a bright smile to his face. "Yeah, I will teach him sword technique."

"And then if you teach sword, I will teach him magic," Alice replied.

Another discussion started among all the people. But while they talked, Jasmine's glance fell upon the book Rudra had touched.

She moved toward the place and lifted the book. On the front was written "A Light and Holy Book." But at the side corner, the cover was torn.

She felt it was not the original cover but only a temporary one.

After moving the temporary cover, her hand started shaking—then she let out a loud cry, "No!"

Everyone rushed toward her. Their eyes turned quickly to the noise, and they saw Jasmine sweating as the book slipped from her hand and fell to the ground
