SWWW Chapter 220: Wanda's Soul, Ascending to the Realm of the Gods

At that moment—

Within the strange realm connected to the abandoned factory earlier, disrupted by an unknown gemstone energy.

After Xi Nian left, everything here returned to its usual state—dark, dead silent, without the slightest sign of life or movement.

Whoosh—

Like a flicker of light and shadow, a petite silhouette appeared in the void, drifting freely through the space filled with meteor dust. Even as she passed through, not a speck of dust was disturbed.

Her long crimson hair spilled down to her waist, her pale youthful face carrying a trace of distress. A red dress wrapped her intangible body, her small feet kicking lightly backward in the air.

It was Wanda, the Scarlet Maiden.

No—more precisely, Wanda's soul!

Ten minutes earlier.

Separated from Xi Nian under unknown circumstances and forcibly teleported here, Wanda had accidentally touched a stone pillar. Crimson energy from within parasitized her body.

The strange, domineering scarlet energy within her disrupted her body, preventing her from using magic properly, leaving her too weak to move.

Because of this, Wanda couldn't open a portal back to Earth.

So the Scarlet Maiden thought of another method—

Astral projection.

Temporarily abandoning her impaired body, she let her soul wander this dimension, hoping to find a way back to Earth.

That much made sense.

But what she didn't expect—

Just as her soul left her body, she saw it being carried away. A black-haired boy turned his back to her, her own body held in his arms, as blue mist swallowed them both.

"Master, wait for me!"

Wanda's soul lunged forward, only to grasp at emptiness. Xi Nian had already left with her body.

Even Xi Nian didn't realize—

This was the greatest reason Wanda's body in his arms could not awaken.

…

"What do I do now…"

The doll-like features of the girl's soul tightened with worry. Xi Nian had left through a spatial artifact, and now, by the faint spiritual connection she could sense, the distance between her and her body was impossibly vast.

Her body had been carried away together with the gemstone energy, severing this realm's link to Earth.

Though nothing physical could block a soul, its speed wasn't great—only slightly faster than the wind. Crossing interstellar distances was an impossible task.

In theory, if her body were struck by energy, her soul could be pulled back.

But the unknown gemstone energy parasitizing her body disrupted that natural link, leaving her trapped in this bizarre situation.

Her soul and body were separated by countless star systems.

"I have to find Master quickly…"

As Wanda's soul drifted above the ruins of the dead civilization, pondering her options, she suddenly heard a strange sound behind her.

"What… was that?"

She quickly slipped into a nearby asteroid for cover. Truthfully, in her current soul state, even someone nearby would struggle to detect her.

But what she saw next made her eyes widen.

At the center of the ruined civilization, several enormous black mountain-like structures suddenly shook violently. Countless chunks of rock fell away.

As the outer meteor shell broke, a smooth, dark metallic hull was revealed beneath.

Faint crimson energy lines lit up across the surface, spreading like circuitry as the engines began to hum with power.

Each "mountain" was not a mountain at all—

They were colossal alien warships!

And not just those. Across the vast graveyard, dozens of other massive asteroids shed their rocky shells, revealing blade-shaped battleships hidden within.

A whole fleet of alien warships had been sleeping here, now awakened.

Wanda's soul took a deep breath, clenched her tiny fists to steel her courage, and flew toward one of the alien ships.

The metallic hull was no barrier to a soul. No alarms sounded. The incorporeal girl drifted inside with ease.

"It's time."

In the command deck of one warship, an ancient presence stirred awake.

His voice rasped with age, whispering:

"After so many years of silence… it is time to reclaim our race's glory, to return the cosmos to darkness."

"Target—Asgard."

"First, we seize the Aether!"

…

Earth. The Sun. The galaxy…

Stars flickering with light, black holes devouring it. Star systems birthing civilizations, chaos extinguishing suns.

Everything blurred past in reverse, vanishing in a blink.

Like a Bifrost tunnel, distance lost meaning, even light-years insufficient to measure.

The rainbow light streaked across countless star systems in an instant, like a bridge spanning the cosmos, reaching the deepest end above the Nine Realms.

Boom! Boom!

A tall figure wielding a hammer crashed down on the shimmering Rainbow Bridge. Opposite him, a graceful silhouette bearing a divine sword also landed hard.

Thor tumbled, steadied himself, and rose with Mjolnir in hand.

Diana drove her divine sword into the bridge, gouging a deep scar into it, halting her momentum.

"Someone has trespassed into Asgard?"

Heimdall, guardian of the realm, strode out from the gates, eyes narrowing at the sight of the woman who had fallen upon the bridge.

Before he could think further, a third figure crashed onto the rainbow path in the fading glow.

Heimdall's eyes widened.

It was a massive bundle, wrapped in a red cloak.

The cloak unfurled on its own—

Revealing a black-haired boy, a small orange cat perched on his shoulder, and in his arms, a crimson-haired girl.

"Stowaways… and not just one." Heimdall's gaze sharpened. To smuggle into Asgard right under the gatekeeper's eyes—unforgivable.

"Why did you drag me back!?"

Thor roared in frustration. "I was about to settle it in the last strike!"

"Let's continue!" Thor hefted Mjolnir, glaring at Diana.

But Wonder Woman ignored him. She turned her sharp gaze behind her, where Xi Nian stood.

The coldness in Diana's eyes melted away. Without hesitation, she strode forward and looked down at Wanda in Xi Nian's arms.

"Is she alright?"

"I'm fine. But Wanda's body has been invaded by some kind of energy. Her condition is bad."

Xi Nian spoke quickly, exhaling in relief. "Thankfully, I made it in time."

When he had activated his spatial artifact to return to the abandoned factory in Paris, he saw the rainbow light falling upon his aunt. Without thinking, he let the Cloak of Levitation carry them into the beam.

They had caught the last ride of the Bifrost.
