SWWW Chapter 219: Wonder Woman vs Thor
Beneath a sky shrouded in dark clouds, on the open ground of an abandoned factory—
Step!!
Step!!
The cement ground shattered again beneath the force of their explosive charges. The factory yard was now nothing but craters and broken earth.
On the left.
A tall, powerful figure gripped a mighty war hammer. His red cape whipped in the storm as his whole body sparked with thunder and lightning.
On the right.
Another tall, graceful figure held a sword and shield. Black hair and skirt swayed with her movement, while her piercing eyes gleamed with divine radiance.
Whoosh—
Their speed exceeded human perception, like flashes of lightning, leaving only afterimages.
Norse mythology and Greek mythology.
A god recorded in ancient legends, and a demigod descended from Zeus's divine bloodline.
When deities of two pantheons clashed, though they wielded cold weapons like hammer and shield, the scene resembled a missile bombardment.
For example—
At this very moment—
Wonder Woman and Thor collided head-on once more. Shield and hammer struck with such force it was as if a bomb had gone off, blasting waves of air outward in rippling shockwaves.
Shattered stone flew hundreds of meters away, dust clouds surged so thick no one nearby could open their eyes.
Every move, every clash, carried sheer destructive might!
"What are you staring at? Run!!"
Jane knew Thor was serious this time, and that this was only his warm-up. Once he unleashed his full strength, anyone caught near the fight would be maimed if not killed.
She immediately grabbed her assistant Luis and rushed the children toward the factory exit.
The factory manager and the police officers on site didn't even bother with their patrol cars—they bolted faster than Jane and Luis.
This was truly a battle of gods. No earthly law could interfere!
…
Seeing his war hammer once again stopped by that shield, and seemingly with ease, Thor couldn't help showing surprise.
That was Mjolnir he held!
The divine hammer of Asgard, symbol of the crown prince's right to rule!
With this hammer came the power of Thor himself, the right to be king.
Thor had fought across the cosmos, battling countless alien races across the Nine Realms. The strongest of warriors, the mightiest of battle clans—he could crush entire armies with a single swing of Mjolnir.
Yet strike after strike had been blocked by her shield, without causing any real harm!
But this too made sense.
For Wonder Woman wielded a divine relic as well—the Amazonian shield.
"Useless, is it? Heh!"
Thor didn't care. His muscular arm swung Mjolnir again and again, pounding the shield like a blacksmith hammering iron.
Every strike boomed with thunder.
Clang! Clang! Clang!
Wonder Woman held firm behind her shield, but the ground beneath her feet could not endure. Slowly, her legs sank deeper into the earth.
"I'll hammer you straight into the ground!"
Sensing Thor's intent, Wonder Woman did not simply defend.
Or rather—she had never intended to only defend.
From the moment Thor struck at her, she had already resolved to defeat him.
Though her knees were nearly buried, she stood unyielding. Shield in hand, her hunter's gaze locked onto her opponent.
In the instant Thor shifted his attack, less than a tenth of a second gap appeared—
"Now!"
Wonder Woman suddenly shoved Mjolnir aside with her shield and lunged forward. Her left hand, gripping the Sword of Hephaestus that had been ready all along, swung down in a fierce slash!
Air, dust, even atoms—
All were sliced apart by the divine blade.
"So fast!"
Thor's heart jolted. He retreated swiftly, but he was a fraction too late.
Slash!
A silver arc streaked across him. His armor split open across his torso, blood seeping through the crack.
A divine sword had cut through godly armor!
"Good!"
Thor didn't flinch from the wound. He swung Mjolnir furiously, the hammer spinning like a helicopter's rotor, summoning storms and lightning with a single motion.
Then—
Thor hurled Mjolnir forward, casting it like a bolt of lightning straight at Wonder Woman.
She raised her shield instantly to block.
But this time, it didn't work!
Boom!!
The sonic boom shattered the air as the hammer smashed against shield and sword alike, sending Wonder Woman hurtling backward like a cannonball. She crashed through factory walls and pillars, tearing into the very heart of the building.
"Your shield may deflect energy attacks. But my Mjolnir is not just energy—it carries raw divine strength as well!"
Thor laughed toward the ruined factory. He stretched out his hand, and the hammer instantly flew back to him.
But then he saw it—
Wrapped tightly around Mjolnir's handle was a golden lasso.
The glowing Lasso of Truth!
Its other end pulled taut within the factory. As Mjolnir returned, it dragged with it a tall, beautiful figure—Wonder Woman herself.
And with her came the gleam of a sword tip.
Even across dozens of meters, Thor felt the deadly chill.
A vital strike. Even a god's body might perish!
Thor's eyes widened. He hadn't expected Wonder Woman to recover so quickly—or to counterattack with such decisiveness.
Fortunately—
Countless battles had forged Thor's instincts into reflex.
"For Asgard!!"
The instant Mjolnir returned to his grip, Thor swung it downward with all his might. His aura peaked in a roar that shook the skies above the factory.
But Wonder Woman, holding the lasso with her right hand and her sword with her left, had no shield to defend herself now.
No hesitation, no regret.
Her eyes blazed as she leapt forward, sword thrusting straight at him.
Sword and hammer.
All their strength and godly power poured into this single clash.
This strike would decide victory—or death.
And then—
Boom!!!
A rainbow beam pierced through the storm clouds above, engulfing both warriors. Before the outcome could be decided, the beam pulled them away from Earth entirely.
At the same time—
By the factory gates, a red figure darted at incredible speed and leapt into the rainbow light after them.
"Hey, hey! Don't leave me behind!"
Not far away, a colorful starfish in a glass jar shuddered with excitement, its psychic voice echoing toward that fleeing figure.
But before the words even finished—
The rainbow beam vanished faster than a meteor, shooting into the depths of the cosmos, leaving behind only a scorched circular mark on the ground.
