Chapter 2 - 2. Entering the Guild

In a flash of light Remiel was standing in the lobby of what looked like a modern office building as he turned around he could see the village below through the glass of the building. "Damn" he muttered to himself as he took in the sights. The lobby was empty but looked like it was a 20th century building for sure, there was a large screen in the center of the lobby that looked like a 325 inch flatscreen TV, playing what he could only assume were sights from this world and kind of reminded him of the old generic screen savers.

[Note: Please open your starter package]

Remiel's eye twitched, why were his stats so slow, and why was his intellect not even 1? "Cross, what are the stats based off" he demanded

[Stats are based off of the average level 1 according to the system, stats will increase as you level, as the guild master of the Nexus Guild you may safely gain experience when guild members turn in quests]

He nodded, he wasn't going to complain at that, it meant he could continually grow while staying inside the safety of the guild hall. "How do I open the starter package?"

[Congratulations for becoming the Official Guild leader of the Nexus Guild]

[Reward: 1000 points useable at the system Kiosk in the lobby.]

Notice: As the Guild Leader it currently takes 50 points a day to manage the Nexus Guild. Using the points the guild will convert mana into electricity, water, and manage a purify spell to keep the premise clean.]

After he finished it the screen flashed and changed to show the basic layout of the building it had three floors were displayed the left side had a counter and was marked as reception, with kiosks marked and a room behind reception labeled awakening room. The right side was marked as lounge with the a large cafeteria and kitchen in the back. The second floor there was quite a few rooms labeled staff rooms, and the third floor looked like it was made for him as there was a large office with a bedroom attached to it and a few other rooms that had no label.

Remiel looked around the lobby again the big screen tv was now showing a large whale swimming in the sky, there was some seating areas in the lobby on the right side that kind of resembled black leather couches. On the left side of the room was a visitors desk, and nearby was several Kiosks tucked against the wall, they currently had a video of gold coins, silver coins, and bronze coins dropping in a piggy bank.

"System how do you use this"

[When a system user places their hand on the screen their system will work as a intermediary showing any stored points for Nexus Guild Affiliates]

[First Mission Acquired: Awaken 5 people to the system, unlocking their level and talents.

[Reward: 500 points, 1000 Experience]

"Cross, does the system only give points points and experience as a rewards?"

[In most cases, but it is important to note the Kiosks do more then give coins, for enough points you can enjoy the luxuries provided by the system including magically enhanced items from Pyra and Earth]

"So I can have lazy Sundays and play PC games all day even here?" Remiel instantly put his hand against the kiosk making the screen light up, showing his available points and a cash out button, he glanced around and noticed a store tab at the top of the screen after pressing it he saw a list of items similar to Congo a huge online store from his world, he quickly hit the search box and typed in PC, and saw the cheapest one was 750 points, he could afford one now, but realized he didn't even have enough points to run the guild a month as is, and if he spent it he couldn't last a week.

Suddenly a large clammer from behind caught made him jump. Someone loudly slammed into the glass window by reception, he turned to see what looked like a man in ragged clothes covered in blood slamming his hand against the glass lost in confusion but staring directly at Remiel, "Please great mage, let down your barrier, we were trapped in the forest they died they all died, I'm all that's left" he sobbed."

"Cross does this world have mages?"

[Affirmative]

"Can I do magic?"

[Currently you do not have the skill, but you can buy it, each basic skill sill cost you 250 points, advancing it to higher tiers will cost more points, I recommend buying it and registering him as a guild member]

The moment he heard that he quickly ran to the door "do it system, I can't watch him die"

[Purchasing Healing Magic for 250 points]

Remiel sprinted out the door, heart pounding, this was the first time he'd ever seen someone injured like this up close, of course he'd seen it on TV, but he'd never actually seen someone dying in front of him. "What do I do, what do I say, how do I heal him Cross" as the words left his mouth he felt a sharp pain in his head like the worst migraine he had ever felt on steroids, and then it was like he just sort of had an aha moment, like the knowledge was their all along.

[Learned Healing Magic(Beginner)]

"Mend" he chanted as light green glow light bust from his palm, it washed over the mans and he could see cuts slowly trying to close themselves, in the span of seconds he saw the wounds try to close themselves and scab up. It wasn't pretty in the slightest.
