Chapter 12 - Serialization

"Is it really necessary for you to come with me?" I said to my tagalong.

"It's my condition, so you better follow it through or you won't get my stamp." Kaede said as she sat right beside me.

Unfortunately, it sucks that this body is a minor. If it was an adult I wouldn't have bothered going with her or asking her for permission.

And so, the train started moving and thought to myself. 'This is going to be a long 30 minutes I swear.'

Truly it is a long 30 minutes with her asking different questions about Nao, she thought that she was being subtle but it's way too obvious for me to see that.

Now I'm starting to regret going to an offline meeting. I stared at my reflection at the window of the other side of the train and touched my hair and muttered. "I should dye it back to black…"

Blonde is okay, but I prefer the natural black hair color. It felt mismatched with my new hairstyle.

Hiroki always used gel to make his hair stand up like some super saiyan, actually in my memory he did use it as a reference for his hairstyle, thinking it made him look strong.

I could understand that, we have all been in that stage where we gel our hair to look like goku.

But that period ended a long time ago for me, so I'll have a decent haircut not flashy or unique, just the standard cut.

Finally we arrived at the company, looking at it. It was bigger in real life than in the picture.

Without hesitation I went inside along with Kaede, ignoring the stare that was being pointed at us, but to be specific toward Kaede.

I was wrong about my initial impression of her being above average. She was beautiful, even in this world standard combine it with her killer body made a deadly combination of being beautiful and hot.

She just needed to dress a bit serious and had a light make up and now she's looking straight up like a celebrity that just came out of her photoshoot.

It explains the countless stares towards her, frankly it's getting annoying to ignore that's why I glared at those that are the closest and the most obvious.

Due to killing hundreds if not thousands, I gained the ability to materialize my killing intent albeit barely but they could feel it.

That's why after glaring at them they flinched and turned away, and I let out a sigh. This is why it's troublesome to bring a beautiful woman with you.

My killing intent wasn't at the level of casual yet, that's why it wasn't shown as a skill. If it was then the people who felt my half-baked intent would have passed themselves already if they had a weak mentality.

Now that I was inside the building I went to the counter and went straight to business. "I have a meeting with Editor Kobayashi…..-san."

I wasn't used to using Japanese honorifics, like san, chan, kun or even sama. That's why the san got delayed.

The staff looked at me and the biological mother of this body, it wasn't obvious but I could see a hint of envy in her face for a moment but quickly replaced it with professionalism.

Was she jealous of Kaede's body? I mean, I understand that she won the genetic lottery, but looking at the female stuff she isn't bad herself, however compared to Hiroki's mom she's lacking.

She lacks some flesh in her more private areas like her ass and boobs.

"What's your name sir…?"

"Hiroki Tachibana." The female staff nodded and grabbed the telephone near her and called someone, most likely Kobayashi-san.

Then after a minute, she said. "Please go to booth number 3, Kobayashi-san will arrive within a few minutes."

After that confirmation, we went to booth number 3 waiting for the editor to arrive.

But before that, Kaede commented. "So it's true, you wrote a novel and got it serialized."

I stared at her with an incredulous look on my face. "Wait, so you never believed me?"

Kaede admitted, although ashamed. "Yes, I thought you were using that as an excuse to go outside."

"Unbelievable…" I pinched the bridge of my nose then let out a sigh.

But I can't exactly blame her for thinking that way, after all who knows if I was exploiting my way out.

Not that it will ever happen.

It's not like I have friends outside, actually Hiroki has one, Shiina Ayumu the tomboy junior of his.

If I'm not wrong she had a crush on Hiroki, too bad he was already dating Nao before she could confess that she remained his cute junior waiting for a chance to be with him.

It would have happened if it wasn't for that transfer student.

How cruel the fate original had, but such is a fate toward the male protagonist of a netorare doujin.

It ain't pretty and there's hardly any happy ending for them.

However, I do know one, although it's from a game, not a doujin. It was called the season of loss, his bully NTR'd his mother, and his girlfriend got NTR'd by his P.E teacher.

But after the spring season, he himself NTR's another person's mother. He becomes evil himself.

Quite ironic but understandable considering what happened to his life.

He even dyed his hair blonde like an iconic delinquent commonly seen as the antagonist in many NTR doujin.

Then my thoughts stopped when a person arrived at our booth, and went to see her. I was completely off-guard as I recognized this character.

This dead fish eye, red hair and a petite body, but perhaps the most confusing part is that.

'Why is she an editor of a novel company when she should be working at a programming one?'

It was Kobayashi-san from Kobayashi's Maid Dragon.

No, in fact she shouldn't even be in this world unless it's a crossover world which makes sense but it also made me realize the potential of other anime or hentai mashed into this world.

Here I thought that this world was going to a normal one without the magic stuff, but unfortunately it's not that simple.

The implications of having a world ending dragon that could destroy the world if it's pissed, there's no guarantee that the plot would be the same as the show.

Kobayashi has a different job, and it is safe to assume that the plot would be different from the original one.

'Did she already meet Tohru?' That's the most important question for now.

Then looking at us, she was surprised that there's two people like she expected. Well I can't blame her for that.

Kobayashi looked at me and to Kaede and said, "CryHarder-sensei…?"

She winched as she mentioned my pin name, it's obvious that she found my pin name cringe.

Well I can't change it now, but she'll understand in time why I named myself like that.

Kaede looked confused at the name. "I'm sorry who..?"

Kobayashi realized her mistake and looked over at me, who let out a wry smile. "It's me, Kobayashi-san."

Kobayashi looks embarrassed by the misunderstanding. "Oh, sorry I thought it's her…"

"Don't worry I understand, she's my guardian and I need her stamp for signing and she insisted on coming along. If not then I wouldn't be able to sign anything at all, since I'm a minor…" I explained.

"I see, still I didn't expect you to look like this…I was expecting someone more you know…" Kobayashi hesitated to continue.

"You don't have to say it, I can understand that I don't look like I wrote the story but I did, anyway where do we sign?" I didn't hesitate and straight to the point.

Then she brought out the necessary documents that needed signing.

"Well, it's to use your stamp." I said to her,

Kaede nodded with a sigh. "I guess it's one of those days.."

I wasn't even gonna pretend I understood what she meant.

It took some time to finish and Kobayashi congratulated me for the successful serialization which normally takes months if not years from an average author.

But I did it with a single book, without a massive fanbase or a book that was equivalent to a few volumes.

My situation itself is unique, it was said that I would get a 10% cut per sale, which isn't a normal cut for a new no name author like me.

Those who had some fame in them usually get this kind of cut.

"Well, we should discuss the art of the characters." Kobayashi mentioned, I was prepared for this and took out the brown envelope that contained the concept art of the characters.

Kobayashi opened it and was surprised to see a drawing, not to mention the quality wasn't bad either.

"You drew this..?" Kobayashi was surprised.

"That's right, this is the guide to how the character should look like."

"It's rare for writers to know how to draw, why not draw the art yourself then? Hmm? Why is it only the head?" Kobayashi was confused.

I let out an awkward smile at that question, and answered. "I only know how to draw the head, not the body."

"...ah." A light of understanding appeared in her dead fish eye.

A/N: There's generally 2 types of newbie artists, first the artist who only knows how to draw the head and second those who only know how to draw the body but not the head.
