Chapter 10 - Adventure 10: Retro Ranker

Excited Saranai to see her dear friend so full of life again, Saranai presses against Iramo's chest, wrapping her arms around him thinking of what to say to him after spending so long apart.

"Your finally up! You we're sleep for so long I thought you'd stay that way forever."

Raising her arms to his neck, Saranai pulls Iramo down throwing herself over his shoulder, onto his back.

"How long did you plan on being awake and not saying a word to me. Huh?"

Tightening her arm's around his neck, Saranai puts her lips to his left ear.

"You we're just talking up a storm don't go quiet on me now."

"Can't … breath … purple … lady."

Looking extremely annoyed Saranai releases Iramo and slides down his back.

"Hmph! Sounds like you met my older sister then. What did she say?"

Taking a deep breath, Iramo looks at Saranai's silver flair leggings and green tube top. Comparing the difference between the two sister's as he looks her up and down.

"That makes sense actually! Good genetics must run in the family."

Saranai yanks on Iramo's ear pulling him out the room, into the circular hallway, spanning across the open area in the center with soft purple light shining down from above. With each ray of light that passes through the inverted spiral that digs downward from above, each door is illuminated and reveal unique patterns across them.

Observing the many doors and looping pathway vanishing with each corners bend as he looks both way, Iramo can't help but wonder what lies behind each doorway and what changes are brought by the light that give them all such a unique look.

"Woah, what is this place Saranai?"

"This is my home! I planned to show you around but you passed out so we'll have to save it for later, for now we need to hurry and make our way to the outer band."

"Huh? Why what for?"

Pouting while reaching out to touch one of the doors, Iramo turns his head to Saranai.

"I just got here, can't we explore your place a bit before we go?"

Grabbing hold of his hand, Saranai walks him towards the edge of the hall.

"No, while you we're recovering the last few days, the light has been fading fast and once it does the White Out will begin. So before that happen so we need to get as strong as we can get."

"White Out?"

Does she mean like night fall? Come to think of it I haven't seen the sun go down yet once, maybe it's different and it's super cold or something.

"Why do you say that like it's a bad thing?"

"Because it is!"

"White light will engulf the world changing everything within it as it darkens the world."

"First it will shine down, altering each and everything within the world even their heart's and minds; Then it will change the weather across the world, turning everything on it's head; Worst of all it will empower those who do not belong to venture out from the depth that keep them locked away."

"It's said when our star is no longer in sight, and the light grows low, the pale light will darken this world and all of our hearts."

"Revealing the monster's within we've kept locked away deep inside. Finally letting two world's forbidden to touch collide."

"Perfect!"

Beyond confused by Iramo's care free response to the storm that approaches, Saranai swiftly turns her neck, side eyeing him as he exudes pure confidence and delusion across his face.

"What?"

"Think about it this is a great opportunity!"

"We can join the crusader's before this White Out happens then outshine the white light in front of everybody."

"Whoa, Whoa, Whoa! I'm all for rising the ranks but that's insane; besides even if we do manage to get into the Crusaders now, we're not going into the White Out without a real plan. We'll just end up dead with nothing to show for it."

Leaping over the edge into the open, Saranai emits a soft bondi hue for a moment as she calls out to Iramo.

"Now come on we're going to train with some Crusaders then we'll know if we stand a chance to join the new wave when they go out for the next scan."

Smiling as he follows Saranai over the edge without a moments hesitation, Iramo began to slowly float down to her. Feeling the fatigue set in as he tried to become the wind, Iramo could only manage to control the winds around his body to guide himself to the ground.

Damn it, I'm still this weak. I won't be able to use the winds even if I wanted to, at least for a while. What's the point of me even sleeping when I get no rest. I'll recover overtime so for now I'm back to the beginning. No problem, as long as my body works I should be fine just like before.

"You had me at Crusaders! I can't wait to see what kind of training we'll do. Let's go!"

"You and me both, but we'll find out soon enough."

Walking down into a green energy ring, Saranai spins her finger around her wrist causing the circle to light up, Opening a slit in the space before them. This however didn't just tear the space in front of them but all around them as it began to shatter bringing them into the World's Warp space only their feet connected to the world.

With her right arm Saranai stretches out her hand, opening her palm slowing twisting it as they are transported through the World's Warp, transporting to their destination in an instance. Arriving in a shakar room filled with various foods and drinks atop reversed sepia triangular prisms, hovering just above the green floors.

Thousands of survivors who believe they have what it talks to rise above and reclaim their world we're gathered in this massive room. All with different stories, different goals, different reasons why they will push forward and explore the world. Joining the Crusaders ranks one things is certain no matter what their end goal may be.

A life beyond the stars await.
