Serbia gritted his teeth, he was furious inside, but in the end, he just sighed. A deal was a deal.
-Now, what's the information?- He asked, clearly annoyed. That information had better be worth it, or there wouldn't be any deal at all!
Ringo didn't care and spoke. - I have information that the Dark Star lost a very important item that was being transported by a Silver. If you take a look, you'll see that some Silvers launched a rescue mission for their companions a short time ago, one of them was responsible for the transport, but because of what the pirates did, the cargo was lost.
Serbia frowned, listening silently.
-After that, Dark Star searched for that cargo with all their might, they even invaded the Floating Dragon to do it, and that's how I found out.- Ringo shrugged, clearly pointing in a direction to make the information seem true.
As he expected, Serbia's face remained neutral, he didn't doubt his words, at least not visually, but it was difficult to tell with that kind of politician, even more so the leader of a Star System-level civilization like Godora.
In any case, Ringo didn't wait for Serbia to ask anything and continued. - Now the cargo is lost and the pirates are dead, only the mercenaries remain, for an item so important that Dark Star is even willing to launch a movement in Ames territory... do you think they'll give up?
-Absolutely not.- Serbia replied, already leaning back in his chair, lost in thought. He could already see what Ringo was trying to say. -Do you think they'll act against the mercenaries?
-They don't have the courage to launch a direct attack against the Floating Dragon, but what about against the mercenaries?- Ringo didn't answer, but he asked a question, it was much easier to believe information when you thought you understood it yourself.
Serbia was exactly that case, his eyes opened slightly, a smile slowly forming on his lips.
-In other words, they're definitely going to attack the mercenaries.- Serbia said, then turned to look at Ringo, narrowing his eyes. -But how do you know that at least one Grade A ship will show up and even a fleet will be sent?
Ringo smiled and spoke. -Several of the mercenary groups on this mission have Grade A Supers in their command. Besides, without a large-scale fleet, how can you suppress other civilizations from other star systems if they don't bring enough firepower? You don't think they're going to make a move so close to Godorian territory, do you?
Serbia only took a moment to understand, in fact, Ringo was right. If they were going to act, they needed to act with great force, even more so because they still wanted to recover that so-called 'cargo'.
-And what is this cargo?- Serbia asked curiously.
-I have no idea.- Ringo shrugged. If he talked about the cargo, the godorians would probably search for it, and it'd likely have the mercenaries strip themselves of their belongings to look for it. If he said what the cargo looked like, he'd only be complicating Han's life.
Serbia narrowed his eyes, it wasn't clear whether he believed him or not, but at that point, it didn't matter. He spoke. -That information was very useful. After the event is confirmed, the planets will be transferred to you.
-Fine.- Ringo shrugged, he didn't really care about it anyway. He also didn't think Godora would be crazy enough to renounce a deal with a Grade S subordinate at that moment. Because of that agreement, recorded on video, it would be reason enough for Ames to dismantle the entire Godora without suffering any penalties from the universal civilizations.
If Godora were really that stupid, he might just give them a thumbs up, admiring their courage.
Serbia knew this too, he didn't want to talk to Ringo anymore. He had just lost several planets because of this news. Even though it was just 'pocket change' to him, Ringo still made the whole thing more annoying than it needed to be. He only hoped it would be worth it, he needed to start coordinating an ambush.
-One more thing.- Ringo said before Serbia hung up, causing the man to raise an eyebrow at him, clearly wanting Ringo to speak quickly.
-I don't care about the others, but the Black Star mercenary group is a member of the Floating Dragon. Black Star is my friend, if something happens to him...- Ringo smiled, but the smile was anything but comfortable, instead, it seemed incredibly cold.
Serbia narrowed his eyes slightly, he understood what Ringo meant. -I understand. If that's all, let's end the conversation here.
-That's all.- Ringo nodded, and the call was disconnected.
Ringo smiled, he knew perfectly well that no civilization could grow without some dirty dealings going on beneath the surface. His warning to Serbia wasn't simply because he was Han's friend, but because he knew Godora might only report 'casualties' while fighting with all its might against the Dark Star. He wanted Han, who had terrible luck, to be killed by accident.
Besides, he had mentioned the cargo that Dark Star was looking for, if he didn't say anything, Serbia could directly order a search of all the mercenaries for it, so he made his position clear.
Touch Han Xiao, suffer the consequences. If Serbia really dares to act against that idiot old Han, Ringo wouldn't hesitate to accelerate his plans to acquire the Dark Star and let Godora experience what it's like to have a Nightmare as an enemy.
Ringo used his vision of the future at that moment, seeing that Han Xiao would still be able to get through this, he let that event go, he did what he could to help the idiot, now it depended on him.
Even though the vision of the future wasn't 100% accurate, he still knew that Han Xiao had enough of a silver tongue to talk his way out of most trouble on his own. Ringo just needed to turn an unsolvable situation into something manageable, old Han would handle the rest.
