"Here have a sit" Karl; said, with his hand pointing to the empty sit beside as a sign of gesture to sit.
"Thank you man", I said looking around,
This wasn't a five-star cafeteria shop but it has a nice décor that was quite captivating it wasn't loud but it enough to give a a relaxing feeling.
"I can see you like the place" Karl said looking at me with a pleased smile. Then signaled One of the waitress to come where we were sitted .
"Yeah, I like the décor and suit nature of the place" I replied still scanning the place with my eyes.
"Yes, I get that feeling that was how I felt when I first came here".He said with the usual smile on his face.
" Good day, please can I receive your orders" a girl with a blond hair and a smile plastered on her face said
"oh I would like a coffee" Karl said with the usual smile now am being to wonder if his cheeks where not hurting, After a minute passed I realized it was my turn to place my order.
"Hot chocolate"i replayed
"Okay" she said
Then when to get what we ordered
"Like I was saying" He said going back our conversation
"I felt the same way when I came here, but I was told it was close to a library I think the quiet energy of the library is affecting the place". He said as he laughed a little then the waitress brought what we ordered, the coffee and hot chocolate was warm matching with today's weather.
"Is there any other thing you want" she asked with the usual bright smile.
"If we want anything we would let you know" Karl was the one to answer while I looked outside through the transparent glass wall while sipping my Hot chocolate slowly so I won't burn my tongue.
"Bro I want to visit the library you are welcome to come the librarian is a nice lady" Karl said taking a sip from his drink.
"Hmmmmm well I like the view here so you can go am not tagging along". "Okey suit yourself" he said picking up his cup and walking towards the building. I watched Karl from the glassed wall as he walked into the crowd moving to and fro, I watched my best friend walk past stores then stopped in front of the building, within the blink of an eye my friend disappeared into the huge doors of the building.
"That must be the library" I said not talking to anyone in particular.
As I sat there alone my encounter with my mum kept playing in my mind.
Most times I wonder if she got me through an IVF procedure which she thought failed or I was an unwanted pregnancy that she had to keep or probably I was adopted when she couldn't conceive, because I don't know why a parent will lack emotional attachment with their child all in the name of creating an empire which I already inherited from my father. The thought of taking over a family business could be so overwhelming, my mother bringing "classic ladies" so that I could get married, I wondered to my self who gave her this idea even if am to et married, it would certainly not be to any of the so-called classy girls she brings. Looking outside, the weather has not changed a bit, it even shows more probability of raining.

Walked through the midst of people without the location where I'm going in mind, all I could do was to admire the beauty of the city that my dad was bringing horror to.
The further I go the more darkness embrace the city the more it beauty radiate but what stood out more was the moist scent of rain in the atmosphere. When it seemed the cloud was finally pour down it rain I took a right turn, I walked through the street, what made me more unease was the silent that don't go down well with me, like the light kept flickering.

Getting to the end if the street I took a left turn, then I saw a man standing in the middle of the road, walking closer I saw a smile that didn't reach his ears plastered on his face but it sent an unknown chill down my spine.

" I see your father let you leave the house without adequate protection " The man said still having the dangerous smile on his face
"Sorry do I know you" I asked talking a step backwards
" No you don't, but you are going help me send a message to your father" He said
" Excuse me? I don't get what you are saying" I said with the hint of annoyance in my voice
"all I knew was that I could talk him down if it was only him or they are two" With this thought I turned my hand to a fist ready to defend myself
