"Don't worry… we can try a bit of everything," Mirabel chimed, pulling out her phone to reply to a message as though arranging a feast of this scale was the most natural thing in the world.
"Please enjoy your evening," the waiter said politely before stepping away.
Melissa leaned back slightly, her eyes sweeping over the colorful display of dishes and desserts that seemed to stretch endlessly across the table.
"I have always dreamed of coming here to spend a fortune," she sighed dramatically, "but I never imagined that on the first day I would be fed like a pig."
Emily nodded solemnly. "She is really raising pigs."
Mirabel didn't even glance at them. "Complain after you finish eating," she smirked, picking up her cutlery with elegant ease. "Let's dig in."

They had barely sampled half the dishes when Mirabel suddenly paused. Her gaze sharpened toward the entrance of the restaurant as Emilie walked in. A low whistle slipped past her lips.
