OPTC Chapter 218 Shark Giant's Strongest Skill, A Mental Attack?

The Shark Giant, nearly the same height as Pickles Panda, appeared out of nowhere and landed a heavy punch to Pickles Panda's jaw.

With a groan of pain, Pickles Panda toppled backward, his massive body splashing into the sea and sending waves surging high.

The sudden reversal stunned the pirates, leaving their mouths agape.

"What the hell is that?"

"A robot? No… a robot giant!"

"Why does something like this exist? But it's so cool!"

As captain, Foxy was still able to stay calm. "Shut it! Focus on the cannon fire! Pickles Panda, don't get careless! Tear that thing apart!"

"But Captain, that's a robot!" The pirates were reluctant, still staring with awe.

"Shut up!" Foxy snapped at his idiotic crew. In truth, he wanted one too. He had seen Shark Chili jump into a cockpit hatch—meaning it was something even a normal person could pilot. Damn it, he was jealous.

Pickles Panda staggered back to his feet, rubbing his chin in shock. "So, not only do you have robots, but giants among your ancestors as well? I won't underestimate you again!"

Shark Chili yanked the Shark Giant's control stick and charged forward. He really couldn't handle how similar all these fishmen thought alike.

The two giants traded blows in the sea, fists crashing back and forth. Shark Chili didn't rush to transform, instead using the opportunity to test the Shark Giant's systems little by little.

He still remembered the damage from Thriller Bark, when a zombie swordsman and a zombie axeman had cut the Shark Giant badly. He had worried his repairs weren't perfect, but now it looked fine.

"With the Shark Giant's strength, I thought I'd have overwhelming advantage. You're stronger than I expected," Shark Chili admitted.

Panting, Pickles Panda replied, "As expected of a fishman with robots and giants among his ancestors… but I won't lose to you!"

MDZZ! Shark Chili really wanted to curse, but as a refined robot with manners, he decided it was better to simply finish this quickly. "Double Super Transformation Mode!"

Both Shark Chili and the Shark Giant transformed together in a dazzlingly sci-fi fashion, leaving the pirates dumbstruck.

"It… it transformed!"

"Robots are too cool! Go robot, go!"

"He's the enemy, you idiots! But… yeah, he's really cool."

"Damn it! I challenge them to a Davy-Back Fight! If I win, I want that robot!" Foxy finally couldn't hold it in, stamping on the railing and shouting out his challenge.

Watching the fools on the other ship, Zhang Da Ye suddenly realized Shark Chili and the Shark Giant weren't just strong physically. Against certain people, their mere appearance worked like a devastating mental attack.

"Almost done. Once Shark Chili finishes off that fish giant, get ready for boarding." Zhang Da Ye spoke through the loudspeaker. "Try to shift the battlefield onto their ship."

After the transformation, the Shark Giant looked far more majestic, and its strength had grown tremendously. A normal giant could no longer hope to match it.

Pickles Panda was quickly beaten into a swollen mess, unable to rise. And this was only because Shark Chili had some respect for fishmen—he was using only fists and kicks, no weapons.

"Captain, Pickles Panda lost too! Let's run away!" someone shouted.

"No! I sent them into this fight. I'm the captain—I won't abandon my comrades!" Foxy was sly, insecure, and ugly, with countless flaws. But his care for his crew was one of his few redeeming qualities, and the reason so many pirates followed him.

"Captain!" The pirates were moved to tears.

"Men! Take them down! Save Capote and Pickles Panda!"

"Ohhhh!!!"

Both sides tacitly stopped their bombardment and closed the distance. After all this time, the Amber remained spotless, while Foxy's ship was in rough shape.

From the hull to the deck, scars were everywhere. Even the fox head at the bow was blackened with smoke. Despite the power of the Slow-Slow Fruit, Foxy hadn't been able to block everything—especially not when his crew was too busy cheering at the Shark Giant's transformation, during which several cannonballs had landed. Many pirates could no longer even stand.

Before the two ships drew alongside, Shark Chili piloted the Shark Giant out of the sea, raising its massive ship-cutting blade high and bringing it down toward the pirate ship's center. Many pirates turned pale with fear.

"Slow-Slow Beam!" Foxy crossed his pinky and index finger, pressing the other three fingers together. A pink ring of light expanded outward from his hand, covering the Shark Giant.

Its fluid movements suddenly froze. The ship-cutting blade crept forward at a snail's pace as the pirate ship sailed right underneath, making Shark Chili feel like he had become nothing more than a parking gate arm.

"As expected of our Captain! His power is invincible!" The pirates cheered. Without such an ability, they never would have dared face such an enemy.

On the Amber, the others watched the Shark Giant's movements stall, even its fall from the jump slowing to a ridiculous crawl, mocking Newton himself. After thirty seconds, it finally crashed back into the sea with a splash.

"Thirty seconds exactly." Ye Yan flexed his fingers. "Not a second more or less. Same with the cannonballs earlier—thirty seconds then back to normal. I wonder if he can stack the effect. Annoying ability."

Zhang Da Ye wasn't impressed. "Doesn't matter. The power's decent, but the user's reactions are slow. If Artoria just cleaves their ship with one strike, or you go knock their soul drum, this battle ends instantly."

"I'd rather not test the level of ordinary pirates in this world," Ye Yan replied.

Zhang Da Ye nodded. "That works too. I've got a new move I want to try."

At last, the two ships met. Foxy's vessel was much larger and taller than the Amber. Pirates stood higher up, tossing grappling hooks at the masts to swing across, while others vaulted over the railing to leap aboard.

Rui Meng Meng, perhaps influenced by Zhang Da Ye, sneakily climbed the mast. She waited until pirates jumped up before slicing their ropes with her sword, sending them plunging into the sea.

Zhang Da Ye swung his lamp post like a club, swatting pirates out of the air in a rather brutal display.

After easily fending off the first wave, Ye Yan released the Eight Flag Spirits, lining them up at the rail. "Hold the line. Not a single pirate steps aboard."

Then Zhang Da Ye, Tom, Artoria, Rui Meng Meng, and Ye Yan all leapt onto the pirate ship. Brook stayed behind to guard the Amber with the Flag Spirits, and to keep an eye on Perona.

Seeing his comrades begin the boarding, Shark Chili abandoned the Shark Giant and emerged from its cockpit, leaping aboard the pirate ship himself.

What followed was a completely one-sided battle.
