He walked directly to where Kira was standing and looked into her eyes and said "Mate"
Kira raised her eyebrow, she had heard of Davies, the campus sweetheart, what freaked her out was that the guy that everyone in the campus was dying to have is also her mate.
She couldn't stop rebuking her wolf Aya for being a sucker for good looking guys.
"Severed the bond, I am not interested in you" Kira spoke coldly to Davies, who looked at her dumbfounded, he never expected such a response from her.
Kira turned around and then left met up with Sophia, Sophia excitedly asked "Is Davies asking you to be his girlfriend?"
Before Kira could respond, Davies walked over and rudely reached out to grab her arm, but Kira grabbed his arm instead and looked at him coldly.
"You don't walk out on me like that, when I am talking to you, girl, and you don't tell me what to do" Davies said with a gritted teeth, he was annoyed that he was rejected by his own mate, he was already used to be one rejecting love interests, so the reversed being the case got him pissed and annoyed.
Kira looked into his eyes and retorted coldly "Others don't make the rules in my life, I always make the rules"
Then she let go of his hand and then used her handkerchief to wipe the fingers and palm that touched Davies deliberately, while taking her time to do so Sophia looked at her with wide-eyes, she didn't expect Kira to treat Davies like that.
Davies face was dark as he watched with tightly clenched jaws and eyes filled with wild fury.
"Don't try to lay your filthy hands on me next time" Kira warned sternly and then turned around, and walked away without looking back.
Sophia waved at Davies shyly and then ran after her friend.
He strode purposefully toward where Kira was standing, meeting her eyes directly as he said, "Mate."
Kira raised an eyebrow, familiar with Davies—the campus darling, everyone's crush. But what truly unsettled her was that the guy everyone yearned for was also her mate.
She couldn't stop herself from rebuking her wolf, Aya, for being so easily swayed by handsome faces.
"Sever the bond. I'm not interested in you," Kira said coldly, her tone unwavering. Davies blinked in surprise, caught off guard by her blunt rejection. He'd never expected such a response from her.
Turning away, she headed toward her friend Sophia, who eagerly asked, "Is Davies asking you to be his girlfriend?"
Before Kira could answer, Davies approached abruptly, reaching out to grab her arm. Instinctively, Kira seized his wrist instead, her gaze icy.
"You don't walk out on me while I'm talking to you, girl," Davies growled, teeth clenched. His annoyance simmered beneath his words—rejection from his own mate was a blow he wasn't used to, and it pissed him off.
Kira met his furious glare and retorted softly but firmly, "Others don't make the rules in my life. I do."
With deliberate care, she released his hand and took out her handkerchief, slowly wiping her fingers and palm—cleaning away any trace of his touch. Sophia watched in wide-eyed shock; she hadn't imagined Kira would treat Davies like that.
Davies's face darkened, eyes blazing with fury, jaw clenched tight.
"Don't try to lay your filthy hands on me again," Kira warned, her voice steady and commanding. Without another word, she turned on her heel and walked away, leaving him fuming in her wake.
Sophia quickly waved shyly at Davies before rushing after her friend.
Kira wasn't aware of her confrontation with Clifford—nor did she particularly care. But as she finished her classes for the day, she realized she hadn't seen him all day. Turning to Sophia, she said casually, "I'll take the third school bus."
Without waiting for an explanation, she stood up. Sophia immediately followed, asking, "Why?"
Kira didn't bother to answer. She simply responded, curtly, "Go home," and then walked off.
She paused in the school courtyard, sniffing the air thoughtfully. Her gaze shifted toward the agriculture faculty building. Without hesitation, she headed in that direction, passing between trees and flowers until she reached the reserved forest on the university land.
There, she spotted Clifford sitting under a tree, leaning back against the trunk and flipping through a textbook. He pretended not to notice her, acting as if he was lost in thought.
"You can fool others, but not me, Clifford," Kira said with a smirk. "Stop playing dumb, you nerdy smart-ass."
Clifford tensed up, looking at her with a mixture of fear and defensiveness. "Why are you here?" he asked stiffly.
Kira curled her lips, enjoying the discomfort she was causing him. There was an inexplicable thrill in making him feel nervous — a feeling she secretly relished.
She spread her arms and retorted, "To torment you, of course. Since you refused to sever the bond between us."
Clifford started gathering his books into his bag, then stood up. "I won't sever the bond," he said steadily. "You can reject me if you want to."
He avoided her gaze as he spoke. Kira studied him carefully, her expression darkening. She moved swiftly, pinning him against the tree. Her hand grasped his neck lightly, and she looked at him with cold intensity.
"Why are you pretending to be weak?" she asked, her voice low but sharp.
Clifford pursed his lips and refused to speak. She reached out to try to remove his glasses, but he quickly grabbed her wrist, stopping her.
She raised an eyebrow.
Clifford said softly. "I have bad eyes."
Kira chuckled, struggling to free her hand, but Clifford held on tightly. Her eyebrows knitted in shock, and suddenly she whispered, "You're an alpha."
Clifford stiffened, then abruptly shrugged her off. He grabbed his schoolbag and hurriedly ran away, avoiding her gaze.
Kira watched him retreating, deep in thought. She didn't chase after him. Instead, she turned around and headed back to the school park, caught a bus, and made her way home.
When she arrived, her parents were waiting for her. They looked serious.
"Kira," her mother began gently, "we want to talk to you about your hatred towards boys."
