Chapter 24 - RİPPLES OF CHANGE

The morning of the exhibition was still vividly before my eyes; people were milling around my works, commenting, some admiring, others silently examining. But the impact of that day wasn't just a memory anymore—it left a slight tremor and a deep excitement within me. Meryem Hanım's words still lingered in my ears: "As an artist, you still have to explore your own boundaries."

That evening, when I returned home, my heart was still pounding. When my phone rang, I didn't recognize the number; the screen simply read "Gallery Management." I took a deep breath and answered. The voice on the other end was serious yet inviting:

"Hello Lina, I visited your exhibition today, and your work was truly impressive. You might have the opportunity to exhibit a few of your works at an international art fair next month. If you're interested, we can arrange a meeting to discuss the details."

At that moment, I was filled with both surprise and indescribable joy. The opportunity I'd dreamed of for months was now knocking on my door. My knees trembled slightly, but my voice remained under control:

"Of course… I'd love to! When would be a good time to discuss the details?"

When the meeting date was set, I sat in my room and stared at my canvas. The colors, shadows, and light were still telling me my own story. But now, this story would be told not just for me, but for the wider world as well.

The next day, while I was working in the studio, Emir came in and smiled:

"I know you're still excited," he said.

"Yes… but I'm also a little scared," I admitted. "What if I'm not ready?"

"Even the moments you're not ready make you grow, Lina. Trust yourself and follow that light," he said.

From that moment on, every brushstroke felt more meaningful, every color more vibrant. A belief blossomed within me: limits existed only in the mind, and overcoming them was possible with courage and patience.

As the weeks progressed, preparations for the fair began. Choosing the canvas, framing, moving plans… It was all a new challenge, but this time, I wasn't alone. The support of Emir, my friends, and Meryem Hanım made every step safer.

And finally, my first official fair invitation arrived. My heart was still pounding as I stepped into the fairgrounds, but this time it was different; fear had given way to a kind of determined excitement. With each step, I felt like I was following my own light, thrilled to tell a new story with each canvas.

That night, I returned to my studio and looked at my canvas. The colors still shone, the shadows still added depth. But there was a difference now: My art wasn't just mine anymore; it was a window into the world.
