A man suddenly drew in a panicked, deep breath before violently coughing up his lungs for seemingly no reason. It wasn't until he felt that something was seriously wrong that he began to look around.
This wasn't his room nor his bed.
'How?' There wasn't really much else to say other than that.
The last thing he remembered was going to sleep after watching some YouTube videos, and now he was here.
Did he die in his sleep? It would explain why he woke up with no air in his lungs, or maybe not. Is there a science to this?
He took a deep breath before standing up from what looks to be a Single-sized bed along with a whole gaming setup, a wardrobe, a bedside table, and a door.
Opening the wardrobe, it was one of those fancy ones with many compartments, along with a mirror on the back of one of its doors.
There was his face.
In the mirror, what stared back at him was unfamiliar: extremely long white hair that framed his face and went down to the back of his calves, a small stubble as if he hadn't shaved in a few days, and, most surprisingly, his eyes.
No, they weren't red or any natural color. It was the total opposite of natural.
His eyes were like a kaleidoscope of colors, all mixing and blending, which made you feel a sense of awe and wonder.
As if that wasn't enough, there were what looked to be kanji inscribed into his eyes like some demented tattoo. Even that explanation wouldn't be enough since he had no pupil at all.
'These are Douma's eyes.' The man opened his eyelids wider with his fingers to see more clearly. They were real. He didn't even want to know how or why that is. As for his hair, it was ridiculously long, like cultivator levels of long.
He knew he had to be reincarnated, or in this case, transmigrated with a whole new body. Denying reality would help no one, and he had to figure out who he was.
At that moment, he felt an influx of information assault his brain. He groaned in discomfort before going over his memories.
His name is Watanabe Megumi, and 25 years old, living in Musutafu, Japan. He moved into this apartment yesterday and went to bed.
…That's it. No memories of parents, friends, education, relationships, job experience…nothing.
All he had to his name was this apartment, a birth certificate, and a bank account. Oh, and his ID. No wallet, though.
What kind of backstory is this? Did he just spawn in? Knowing his luck, that's probably the case.
His previous life was rather unremarkable and rather ordinary, but that was alright with him since he had his hobbies that gave him joy.
Now he had bigger issues to deal with. He's in Japan and Musutafu at that.
Megumi could only be in one place.
My Hero Academia. Why? Because Musutafu is an entirely made-up place where the MC is and where U.A. High School originates from. He had been a bit of a fan of the series when he was younger, so he knew the name by heart.
His memories didn't clue him in on the kind of quirk he had, and even if he did have one, what was he going to do?
'I'll have to figure out exactly where I am in the timeline.' Megumi may not really want to get involved in the MC's dream of becoming Employee of the Month, but he'd rather not get blindsided either.
He looked inside the wardrobe and only noticed 3 pairs of black pants, 3 white shirts, and 3 pairs of black socks. That's it.
There weren't shoes, but he assumes there are some by his front door due to the culture.
As he was about to get dressed, he saw a black transparent screen with white text.
[You have been selected as a host for the Game Creator System]
[Would you like a tutorial for all the features?]
'Can't have an isekai without a system.' Megumi's lip twitched in amusement. 'Sure.' He tested if giving confirmation in his mind would work, and to his satisfaction, it did.

[Your name is at the top along with your Quirk: Creator Resonance. This ability will allow you to siphon small amounts of strength from your players. This will not negatively affect them which will be explained later.]
Megumi's eyebrows raise in surprise as he didn't know if he even had one, but it turns out his quirk is tied to his system. It also sounds ridiculously strong, even if it's a little vague. What exactly is strength? Pure brute force or enhancing his physicality?
[It enhances all aspects of your physical body. Strength, speed, durability, vitality, and so on.]
'Ah, it heard me almost forgot about that. Makes sense though.' That would mean his immune system, nervous system, and pretty much all processes in his body would get a boost outside of obvious muscle enhancement. His bones would be stronger and denser, tendons and various connective tissues would allow for more strength and flexibility. If it enhances everything, then it's a pretty insane quirk, especially if his games reach millions or even billions of people.
Once his inner monologue ended, the system started again.
[The Games tab transports you to your creator space, where it is a sea of energy used for creation. Finished products will show up and be ready for export at your command. How much energy you have depends on storage.]
'I see.' Mergumi drew in a deep breath as it seemed that this system had a bit more freedom in the sense that he could create whatever he wanted, rather than having to make specific games. If he had storage, then he could make whatever he wanted.
[That is correct. This system mostly focuses on VR, but you can adapt it for PC and mobile use if you choose to do so. Just know that you won't gain any Gamer Coins if it's not VR]
'VR?' Megumi questioned. He knew VR games existed in his previous life, but they were more gimmicky than fully fleshed-out games like console or PC titles. But with the system, he could make incredibly realistic ones, but the one problem would be hardware limitations. If he tried to make a game like Cyberpunk in VR, then he's sure the headset would explode.
Again, the system said something about Gamer Coins, so that could be a solution.
[Correct again, but let me finish before answering your questions. The Gaming Store is where you can buy extra storage and VR Deep Dives for your game creation needs. You could also buy anything you could think of for a price. Quirks, weapons, AI assistants, elixirs, and so on.]
Megumi was astonished. Deep Dive tech? Like in Sword Art Online? That level of VR is practically indistinguishable from reality. That made him excited about what he could bring to this world. The possibilities of what he could buy would be awesome, too. Could he buy One For All from the store? That would be something.
[You have your Inventory, which is self-explanatory, and Statistics would have everything from Game sales, Gamer Coins per hour, and other metrics to help you understand your audience.]
He nodded at that, and the system continued.
[Any questions?]
'You said earlier about not gaining any coins if it's not VR. What does that mean? What would I be gaining it from?' He asked.
[Your players. Every hour of gameplay, you gain 1 Gamer Coin. This is for VR only. Also, depending on the strength or importance of a player, you would gain more coins per hour.]
Megumi nodded as it seemed his only way of getting coins would be through his players. Getting more storage and VR deep dives would rely on them, too.
'What about the more technical things? Like having a website, or making a game distributor launcher and store for my games? How would that work?' Megumi asked.
[You can create that using storage. Your private information is secured by the system along with your banking information. Would you like to open the Beginner Package?]
Megumi nodded, but still had some questions.
[Beginner Gift Package opened!]

[GameGo feature unlocked!]
[1 Petabyte of Game Storage]
[AI Game Creator Assistant!]
[100% Discount voucher on select Gaming Store items!]
His eyes widened at the stuff he gained as a few items were now in his inventory. 1 Petabyte of storage was mindboggling. Keep in mind that most PCs have 1-2 terabytes of storage for the average gamer, but 1 petabyte is 1000 terabytes. Insane, but if one were to look at the sheer scale of deep dive virtual reality, then who knows how many games he could actually make.
[Any more questions before I go offline?]
Megumi blinked at that. 'So it's only speaking with me because it's just explaining the functions of my system?'
'Can you explain the GameGo feature?' He asked.
[GameGo is a delivery service that can transport customers' orders to the address they provide, and you can link it to what you want. Website, distributor platform, etc. Please note that the items must be within your inventory for the shipment to go through. You will get a notification if your stock runs out.]
Megumi let out a sigh of relief. He had been wondering how he was meant to sell these VR devices to people because he won't get any coins otherwise. He also didn't really have the capital to start a shipping business, but with this feature, all he would need is coins to keep buying the devices, and he'd be good.
[Is that everything?]
He tried to think harder about anything, but he was eager to start, so he shook his head.
[Thank you for completing the tutorial!]
[Reward: 10 Gamer Coins!]
'Well, that's a nice start.' Megumi then looked down and realized something.
He had been conversing with this system naked. Well, there's nobody here to be awkward about, so he put on the white shirt and black pants.
His height seemed to be around 6'2"(188cm), which was a bit taller than his previous life's stature.
Exiting his room, he noticed a living room, a kitchen, and an open door to a bathroom. It was very lifeless without a shred of personality.
Rummaging through the cupboards, all he found were standard plates, bowls, cups, silverware, and so on. He found ramen and then water in the fridge.
Looking further, he found cleaning supplies, which were nice.
He sat down on the couch in his living room, and a remote was placed on the coffee table with a small TV in front of him.
Before he decides to create anything, he wants to see if he can find a use for his 100% off coupon in the Gaming Store.
It would have to be something that'll either help protect him from this crazy world of superhumans or something that'll help his productivity.
As he opened the store, he looked through countless options, and thankfully, the store had filters to easily find stuff.
Various elixirs, items, and even quirks that could give him an advantage in either combat or productivity were found, but he kept looking.
That was until he found something insane, and he confirmed that he could use his coupon on it.
This was an item that could both protect him and increase his productivity, thanks to the lore videos he binged in his previous life.
He couldn't even believe something like this was on here.

Yes, another game creation fic.
Why? It's been stuck in my head, and I felt like it.
