Chapter 3 - Home

Xavin's energy type posed more mystery. The Death Order was a powerful energy type that allowed the mage to create death portals rising in the space around them through channels . Not only that , Warlocks could use the magic to summon demons for themselves. Only Warlocks practiced this energy type as they formed it for magic energy, absorbing time and space to take the eternity.

The Death Order was very powerful, and the lowest rank that had awakened such power was the Golden rank. The minimum EXP needed was 5,000 EXP, but Xavin had only 300 EXP.

"This is impossible. Maybe the Orb has a fault," Mr. Criz said. He had never witnessed such a level of contradiction in his thirty-seven years of teaching magic.

"You and I know that the Learner's Orb is not manual. It functions by magic. It is accurate as it takes rooted reading on energy detected in the body of the mage," another male said. Mr. Criz widened his eyes in disbelief.

Xavin stared at Mr. Criz. He was not concerned about the mystery concerning his Awakening Test. He turned to go, but Mr. Criz held him back.

"Xavin Holder, what can you say about your result?" Mr. Criz asked. Xavin paused his movements. A light sigh escaped his lips. He turned to look at Mr. Criz.

"It is poor, but I want to go home," Xavin said.

There was a little confusion. Was Xavin so obsessed with quietly staying with humans?

Xavin waved his hand at Mr. Criz's grip and walked down the stage.

Jelehu noted Xavin as he came toward her. She too was perplexed at Xavin's results.

A Warlock of Newbie rank with a Death Order energy type—that was unheard of.

"Man, you are too complex," Delson commented. Xavin said nothing.

"So, I guess you want to go home?" Jelehu asked.

Xavin nodded, and Jelehu smiled as she admired his cute face.

Delson embraced Xavin tightly.

"Damn! You awakened a powerful Warlock energy type. You could protect me!" Delson teased as he tried to cheer Xavin up. He felt that Xavin was not happy with his rank, but Xavin was not thinking about his rank.

Jelehu smiled loyally. Xavin began leaving with Jelehu and Delson. Other students stared at them in awe.

Xavin had thrown the entire academy into shock. Mr. Criz stared at Xavin as he left the crowd.

"That is not possible. I have a feeling this boy is indifferent," Mr. Criz said. He then bent his head and whispered into the ear of another male. The male nodded and left the stage.

The test continued, with no one getting a legendary rank and only an Elite—Rics was produced. There was a feeling of shock in the air as students murmured.

The Oschettral Magic Academy was located in Haustio. There were few other magic schools across the world. The Magic Academy was designed to teach humans who had affinity for magic energy how to develop it. The rank of a learner was solely dependent on their talent, personality, and bloodline.

The noble ones or students who were from a noble bloodline had an extremely rich background in the academy as they were better than the others that were common. There were four kinds of bloodlines in magic genealogy: The Noble Bloodline, The Demon Bloodline, The Dark Bloodline, and the most common The Auxiliary Bloodline.

The grades of the bloodline was on this order. The Dark Bloodline – The Demon Bloodline – The Noble Bloodline and The

Most mages were of the auxiliary bloodline, and as such, their personal efforts determined their own aftergrades. The next bloodline, which was also seen was the Noble Bloodline. The Nobles had a higher IQ and grace than fine Auxiliaries. The Nobles were notable for attaining the Golden rank. All that was supposed to be the least rank to attain.

The Demon and Dark bloodlines were completely unattainable. The few wizards of the Demon Bloodline were always Legendary rank. In the past record, only seven mages were able to wield this bloodline, with all of them being summoners.

Nevertheless, that did not make the Summoner class greater than the Warlock class.

While it was rare that the Summoners had seen Legendary mages, the Warlocks had their highest rank at Mercury. Warlocks being able to surpass that rank they could be more powerful than ever. Two Warlocks were able to defeat the Legendary rank Summoners. With this in mind, it was believed that if a Warlock could be able to attain an Elite rank, he would be able to defeat ten Legendary Summoners, as the Mercury Warlocks were able to defeat a Legendary Summoner.

The Summoners formed magic from the root to the spell. This gave them a limit as they could not perform a powerful magic without the root of the spell they wished to cast. But the Warlocks had a different game. They could cast spells out of air and void. They needed air or little oxygen to cast their spells. This made them superior to the Summoners.

Xavin knocked on an old wooden door. He qas in front of a small house. He was back home from the Academy. He had been away for five years. One of the conditions of Oschetard Magic Academy was to live in the jurisdiction of the school. He had stayed five years in school, but it was all against his wish. His mother wanted him to learn magic since he passed the affinity test for magic.

The main reason Margret Holder wanted him to go to school was to socialize, as he showed signs of antisocialism from an early age. Xavin lost his father at the age of 11. This further made him cold and unyielding. His father was the only one who played and socialized with him perfectly. His mother had a limit, but his dad was his everything. His father had died in a fatal accident. Ever since then he had been more concealed to himself. This posed worry for Margret as she wanted him to socialize with everyone.
