Chapter 7 - Spell Model

Locke thought about it and decided not to tell Dean Tunguska that he had two main compatible elemental attributes.

After all, this involves the secret of his own time travel.

Anyway, the talent for dark elements is only level 3 and has not reached level 4, so it will not make much difference to one's talent.

Therefore, the benefits of speaking and not speaking are about the same.

I still know too little about the wizarding world of this world. If I reveal some information casually, it will be troublesome and I may be killed.

Dean Tungus said, "Providing wizard seedlings to major wizard organizations will also benefit us wizard apprentices stationed in Corfu."

"It's just that it's not us who get these benefits, but our family in the wizarding world who gets these benefits."

Locke opened his mouth but said nothing. He didn't know how to comment on this matter.

Dean Tungus's eyes clearly revealed his unwillingness.

But he still chose to cross the endless mysterious sea and come to Corfu, an island that is almost free of magic, for the sake of his family in the wizarding world.

Dean Tungus said, "I now formally invite you to join our academy's secret society. You must become a third-class wizard apprentice within two years."

"Your wizarding aptitude is not outstanding, so only if you become a third-class wizard apprentice within these two years will you have the opportunity to choose a suitable academy. Otherwise, you can only randomly join a wizarding organization."

"For my own selfish reasons, I also hope that you can join a larger wizarding organization so that my family can receive more rewards."

Dean Tungus said softly, "In Corfu, to become a third-class wizard apprentice, you can only use the most primitive method, by learning a spell model to improve your mental strength and become a third-class wizard apprentice."

"This method is very primitive, but very effective. After all, this is Corfu, and magical resources are scarce. Even I lack the resources for cultivation."

"I have five trick models here for you to choose from."

"They are: Acid Splash, Greasy Slide, Burning Sparks, Frost Touch, and Vine Hands."

Dean Tungus said, "Judging from your talents, the spell model that best suits you is Hand of Vine."

"Because it's a botanical trick."

"The other four types of magic tricks are negative energy magic, transformation magic, and the fire magic and frost magic within the transmutation magic."

Locke didn't hesitate. Since Dean Tungus's interests aligned with his own, he naturally trusted Dean Tungus's judgment. After all, he was just a newbie to the magical world. "Okay, Dean, I'll choose to learn the [Hand of the Vine]."

Locke asked, "But Mr. Dean, how do I learn this spell? Do you teach me, or do you use some method to press on my forehead so that I can learn this spell in an instant..."

Dean Tunguska's eyes turned dissatisfied. "What are you thinking about, Locke?"

"Any skill requires hard work and learning. Qualification is just a starting point. How far you can go depends on your own hard work, luck, and persistence."

Dean Tungus turned and walked to the end of the reception room. From the wall where he had previously taken out the elemental emerald potion, he pulled out a thick tome. "Therefore, you need to study diligently."

He reached his hand into the wall and took out one thick book after another, each as thick as a dictionary.

The amount of information in the content alone is enough to exceed the thickness of the textbooks of all the courses the original owner had taken in this college.

Locke blinked.

I didn't expect that just a magic model at the cantrip level would require reading so many books.

Dean Tungus said, "The prerequisite courses for the Vine Hand spell are the Basic General Knowledge Course on Plant Magic, the Magic Vine Cultivation Course, and the Basic General Course on Magic Manipulation."

"Each course in the wizarding world requires at least 30 magic stones. For three courses, it will cost a total of 90 magic stones before you can learn them."

"If you add the cost of private lessons if you haven't mastered it yet, the upfront cost of learning the Vine Hand is at least 100 magic stones. The course and material costs for learning the Vine Hand alone will cost at least another 50 magic stones."

Dean Tungus paused, looking at Locke with a look of gratitude. "But according to Verdantia University's preferential treatment for wizards like you, you only need to pay a total of 10 magic stones to learn the Vine Hand on Corfu Island."

"This is a special favor from Verdantia University for young wizards like you from remote areas."

"Of course, this privilege is limited to you, learning a model of magic tricks at the Aurelian College."

"Honestly, this benefit is really good. When I was young in the wizarding world, the cost of learning my first spell model was more than ten times this."

Dean Tungus said, "You young wizards have come at a good time."

"So, be grateful to Verdantia University."

Locke nodded. It was obvious that the wizarding organization of Wildantia University intended to select wizard seedlings from remote areas for the wizarding world.

In order to encourage these young wizards, thanks to the University of Verdantia, certain preferential policies are also given to them.

But Locke was a little worried. As a result, he owed Verdantia University another 10 magic stones, plus the 5 magic stones owed by the Elemental Emerald Potion.

That means he owes 15 magic stones before even entering the wizarding world.

Locke sighed slightly in his heart. When will he be able to fulfill his dream of paying off all his debts?

Dean Tungus placed nine heavy tomes in front of Locke. "This is what you have learned and memorized in the past two years."

"From now on, you will come to my residence every night, and I will start teaching you the three prerequisite courses for the Vine Hand."

"Any spell model, even the lowest-level one, contains an extremely vast knowledge system and represents profound knowledge, so don't take it lightly."

Dean Tungus said, "In addition to this, your tuition and required course fees at Aurelian College will be waived according to regulations."

"But if you sign up for elective courses, you still have to pay for the elective courses. Of course, you can choose not to sign up."

"Okay, that's it. You can go now, Locke."

Dean Tungus started to put away the things on the table. He seemed to suddenly remember something and said to Locke, "Oh, Locke."

"Wizards are unwilling to reveal their existence, so you cannot tell others about the existence of wizards."
