Chapter 6 - Chapter 5: Tang En's Strength

Sun Wukong indeed agreed.

The three of them sped along in the car, with little Goku shouting excitedly at the novelty of it all.

Night fell quickly, and the trio prepared to rest.

"Wow, your Capsule Corp. can even make houses appear?"

Little Goku was fascinated.

"Of course! Why else would they be called Capsule Corp.?"Bulma said proudly, then threw out a capsule. With a loud "BONG," a house appeared on the empty lot.

Tang En entered the room and flipped the light switch. Little Goku dashed inside and exclaimed in amazement:

"Wow, why is it as bright as daytime in here?"

"Goku, this is called an electric light. You'll sleep under it tonight, while Bulma and I go upstairs."

Goku didn't respond, instead running around the room curiously before stopping to stare at a television.

Seeing that this little Goku seemed to know nothing about modern things, Bulma got a mischievous idea. She picked up the remote and turned on the TV, causing a monster to appear on the screen.

"Ahh!"

Startled, Goku jumped back a few steps and pulled out his Power Pole. After staring for a while, he realized it wasn't real.

"Hahaha…"

Bulma burst into laughter, finding the little kid quite amusing.

"Goku, are you hungry?"

Tang En took out some bread and handed it to Bulma and Goku.

"Hmm... this thing called bread doesn't taste good at all."

After taking a bite, Goku climbed down from the stool and grabbed his Power Pole.

"I'll go outside to find something that gives me strength when I eat it."

"What? Where are you going?"

Bulma asked.

Goku didn't answer, quickly running out while leaving behind a shout: "I'll be back soon!"

"What's with this kid, Tang En? He's so weird, even has a tail. Do you think he's a monster?"

"Probably... just a special race. I'm not too sure either…"

Tang En mumbled through a mouthful of rice. Unlike Goku, he was content as long as he could eat his fill.

"Burp—"

Tang En ate quickly. He vaguely remembered that Goku would run into Pilaf's trio this time, but he wasn't entirely sure if things would play out the same way.

Soon, Goku returned, carrying a wolf and a giant centipede...

"Eek! What are those things? Get them away!"

Bulma screamed at the sight of the still-wriggling centipede in Goku's hand.

Even Tang En's lips twitched. Though he'd heard such things were nutritious, the idea of eating a centipede dozens of centimeters long was a hard pass.

"Huh? You guys don't like it? Then I'll eat it myself."

Goku took his catch outside and started roasting it, calling back to the two inside, "You sure you don't want any? It's almost ready!"

After finishing his meal, Tang En washed up and began his Cultivation—simply sensing his Aura, a practice he'd only recently started.

Though Tang En was still weak, the Scouter helped him track his progress, making it easier to perceive his Aura.

Bulma, meanwhile, took a bath and then sat nearby, flipping through a magazine with interest.

"I'm full!" Goku came back in, patting his stomach contentedly.

"Wow! So soft!"

The little boy jumped onto the sofa, rolling around excitedly.

"Hey, Goku, you haven't washed up yet. The bathroom's over there!"

Tang En pointed in the direction for him.To my surprise, Goku didn't respond but instead said to Tang En:

"Tang En, you're strong, right? I want to fight you!"

Little Goku jumped down and threw a few practice punches in place.

"I'm ready, Tang En!"

Seeing the little kid challenge Tang En, Bulma immediately said, "You little brat, Tang En has a battle power of 14! You're so small, how could you possibly beat him?"

"I'm already fourteen years old!" Goku shouted loudly.

"See! You're strong—I really want to fight you!"

Tang En couldn't help but smile when he heard Goku state his age. He knew that Sun Wukong was actually only twelve years old right now, but since he couldn't count properly, he thought that after eleven came fourteen.

"Alright! Goku, I accept your challenge!"

"Let's go outside."

Tang En stretched his body and spoke to Goku.

"You'll fight me? That's great!"

Little Goku was thrilled and quickly ran outside. Bulma, curious, hurried after them.

"Tang En, be careful not to hurt Goku."

Tang En thought to himself—how could that even be possible? A Saiyan's steel-like body was no joke.

"Don't worry, Bulma. A person's strength isn't just about numbers."

The two took their stances, and Goku launched the first attack. The little kid leaped up and began throwing a flurry of punches at Tang En, shouting "Dah-dah-dah-dah!" as he did.

Tang En met Goku's assault, his hands constantly blocking the barrage of fists.

Observing the power and technique behind Sun Wukong's attacks, Tang En couldn't help but marvel at the Saiyan's natural prowess. They were truly born warriors—even their bodies developed to maintain peak combat ability.

Their childhood and prime years were exceptionally long, and the transition between the two phases could complete in just a few years, all to ensure the best fighting condition.

Their small, agile forms during childhood also served as camouflage for low-ranking warriors sent to weaker planets, allowing them to grow before experiencing explosive power surges in adulthood.

If Tang En were at the same level as Goku, he'd probably have to rely solely on Earth's martial arts techniques to contend with a Saiyan like this.

However, Tang En currently surpassed Goku in both age and strength, and neither of them had mastered advanced combat techniques yet. No matter how fiercely Goku attacked, he couldn't land a hit—Tang En blocked everything effortlessly.

When Goku finally paused his assault, Tang En retaliated with a rain of sharp punches, eventually catching Goku off guard and sending him flying.

"Yah-jee-jee-jee—!"

After crying out in pain, Goku climbed back up, unfazed. Instead, he charged at Tang En with even greater excitement.

He lunged forward with a powerful punch, his feet generating force as his rapid footsteps echoed. Agile and fierce, he closed in on Tang En.

His relentless punches carried overwhelming momentum, striking with tiger-like ferocity.

Tang En rarely encountered such nimble and aggressive fighting. As he moved to dodge and counter, his aura suddenly faltered, slowing his movements just enough for Goku's fist to connect.

Thud!

The muffled impact forced Tang En back two steps.

Using his height and strength advantage, Tang En gripped Goku's shoulders and swept his legs out, making the boy stumble. Then, unable to fully control his strength, he struck directly at Goku's head.

"Yah-jee-jee-jee-jee-jee!"Little Goku clutched his head with both hands, tears streaming down his face as he said to Tang En:

"That really hurt! You're really strong, Tang En."

"I told you you couldn't beat Tang En, huh? How does it feel now?"

Bulma stood by with her arms crossed, sneering.

Tang En had been a bit worried earlier. His skills weren't up to par, and that last hit had been full-force, right to the head.

He had been concerned...

But little Goku just rubbed his head and then bounced right back up.

At this moment, Tang En had only one thought in his mind: Should I say "WTF" or not?

Victory had been expected all along. Even if he couldn't beat Goku, he could always target his weakness—his tail—so this fight was a guaranteed win.

Little Goku scratched his head and grinned, completely unfazed. He dusted himself off and, perhaps feeling drowsy, dashed into the house. Within half a minute, he was fast asleep.

Second Floor of the House

Tang En glanced at Bulma beside him, then thought about the innocent little Goku. Resting his head on his arms, Tang En felt an overwhelming sense of satisfaction, his heart brimming with hope for the future.

At this moment, Tang En wasn't even afraid of the powerful villains yet to come.

Right now, he believed he had something worth protecting—and people he could rely on. No matter how tough the road ahead might be, at least he would have companions to face it with him!
