Chapter 394 - 《DXD: Infinite Loot System》Chapter 394: Blood of Thunder and Lightning

"Azazel? What brings you here so early?"

Tenra blinked in mild surprise as Azazel strolled into the Kamiyo house, Gasper trailing behind him.

Azazel grinned, settling into the couch and accepting the tea Akeno poured. "I'm moving to this town for good. Figured I should come say hello."

Rias raised an eyebrow. "Moving in? Aren't you the Governor-General of the Fallen Angels? Living in the human world like us seems a little… off-brand, don't you think?"

Azazel just laughed, stroking his chin. "Not anymore. I handed the job off to Shemhazai. From now on, I'm a free man!"

He looked positively gleeful, like a kid on the first day of summer vacation.

Tenra and the girls exchanged glances, startled. After a quick explanation, it all made sense: ever since the Underworld chaos, Azazel had stepped down as Governor-General. Shemhazai was now in charge, with Tenra's father-in-law Baraqiel as vice. Azazel himself had become Grigori's special technical advisor—no more bureaucracy, just pure research and tinkering.

With the weight finally off his shoulders, Azazel seemed lighter than ever. Tenra and the girls could only offer their congratulations, half amused, half speechless.

Azazel glanced over at Ophis, who was perched comfortably on Tenra's lap, quietly working her way through a lollipop. "Ophis, settling in alright?"

She didn't even look up. "Not bad," she replied, still focused on her candy.

"Not bad" was an understatement. Ophis was living the high life—endless snacks, a sun-drenched rooftop lounge chair, and a household full of people eager to keep her entertained. If Azazel ever realized Tenra was treating Ophis like a pampered pet—and that Ophis saw Tenra as her provider and caretaker—he might just choke on his tea.

Azazel seemed satisfied with her answer, at least. With Ophis's power halved, she was still dangerous, but only Tenra's household could keep her out of trouble. Anywhere else, chaos would be inevitable.

Suddenly, Azazel turned to Akeno, as if remembering something. "Oh, almost forgot—this is for you."

He tossed her a bracelet inscribed with intricate magical runes.

Akeno eyed it curiously. "What's this?"

"It's a device to awaken your Fallen Angel blood. Baraqiel asked me to make it for you."

Azazel's gaze was thoughtful. "I saw your last match. The Twilight Holy Spear that Tenra shared with you is powerful, but you're not strong enough to wield it at full potential. If you can fully awaken the Blood of Thunder and Lightning inside you, you'll have an easier time handling it."

He smiled. "You're not resisting your bloodline anymore, right? Go on, try it."

Akeno's eyes softened. "Father…"

Baraqiel nodded from the sidelines, pride and concern mingling in his expression.

Akeno slipped the bracelet onto her wrist, exhaled, and sent a pulse of magic into it.

Golden light flared across the runes. With a soft rush, a pair of jet-black Fallen Angel wings unfurled from her back.

But that was just the beginning.

Akeno gasped—her blood felt like it was boiling. Lightning crackled across her skin, her aura climbing higher and higher.

Tenra tensed, ready to intervene. "Azazel, you sure that thing's safe?"

Azazel waved him off. "First time's always rough, but she'll be fine. Just watch."

Akeno's power surged. Lightning exploded outward, shattering nearby tables and chairs. With a snap, Tenra threw up a barrier, containing the chaos.

Then, with two more bursts, two additional pairs of wings sprouted—six in total.

A Six-Winged Fallen Angel.

The storm faded. Lightning withdrew into Akeno's body, her aura settling.

"Wow! Akeno-nee, that was amazing!" squealed Koneko.

Rias and the others rushed to her side. "Akeno, are you okay?"

Akeno nodded, a smile blooming on her lips. "I'm fine. My power's grown a lot."

As a hybrid—human, Fallen Angel, and now Devil—Akeno's powers had always been a complicated blend. But Azazel's bracelet had awakened her Blood of Thunder and Lightning, unlocking a new level of strength.

She stepped up to Azazel, bowing deeply. "Thank you, Azazel-sensei."

Her gratitude was genuine—more power meant she could protect Rias and Tenra, and stand beside them as an equal.

Azazel waved it off. "No need to thank me. The bracelet just helped you tap into what was already yours. After a few tries, you won't even need it."

The mood turned festive. Familiarity bred comfort, so there was no need for formalities. Still, Akeno insisted on cooking a lavish meal for Azazel, who happily stayed to enjoy it.

After lunch and a bit of rest, Azazel stood, stretching. "Gasper, let's head back."

Gasper's face fell. "Eh?! Do I really have to go with you? I wanted to stay here…"

He'd been playing video games with Ile and Nel, convinced this was his new home.

Azazel snorted. "Kid, you're just getting in the way here—interrupting Tenra and his harem's quality time."

He winked at the girls, who blushed, while Tenra waved cheerfully.

"Besides, living alone is boring. Come keep me company."

Without further argument, Azazel grabbed Gasper by the collar and hauled him out.

"Waaah… this isn't fair…"

Rias and the girls silently apologized to Gasper, cheeks flushed. Tenra just grinned, waving them off as the door closed behind Azazel and his reluctant sidekick.
