Chapter 2 - Back from the hell!

"Over!... Can you hear me?!... Over... What happened?!... Ove...".

Then the radio was broken after being run over and smashed. Jelian wore a cold expression, and part of his face was covered in blood, with white streaks appearing at the ends of his hair.

He finished dealing with the military team, but he wasn't satisfied. He had taken too long to eliminate them.

Without hesitation, he quickly continued on his way and reached one of the communication towers. It was intact and hadn't been destroyed during the incident. It made for a great vantage point for observing the city from a high altitude, exploring its surroundings, and, most importantly, monitoring enemies.

He quickly climbed the tower, not even the weight he was carrying slowing him down. He reached the top.

At the top of the tower were several items, including weapons, food, and comics to occupy his time. There was also a handheld game console, a portable battery, and finally, surveillance equipment.

He grabbed the binoculars and began observing. He noticed several things. He saw a group of men who had managed to enter Coredith from several directions. It had previously been closed off. Each street had a battalion of several men, followed by an armored vehicle.

On the main road, there were the largest number of men and two armored vehicles. In the middle, there was a huge American tank.

The entrance was supposed to be destroyed, preventing vehicles from entering the city, but it could not prevent those armored vehicles.

In the tank, a man with a large, muscular build, approximately two meters tall, was sitting on top of it. His right arm, twice his size, was visible, as if his body were attached to it. He had thinning hair, was almost bald, and had a light beard. At his side was his assistant, on his right, tall and thin, with blond hair, blue eyes, and glasses. He was in charge of operational command and dispatch.

"Hmm... they're numerous and spread out everywhere. Maybe the city will fall into their hands."

"Not yet. They haven't advanced far. No one knows Coredith better than I."

"Really?"

"Really!"

"..."

"..."

Wait a minute! Jelian realized he wasn't talking to himself, but rather responding to Aiden, who had suddenly appeared behind him!

Suddenly, Jelian launched a direct kick at Aiden's face, but he blocked it.

Aiden said sarcastically, "Hey, hey! Why are you attacking me?! Your enemy is over there".

"Don't appear behind me like that!!!" Jelian shouted angrily.

"You were fast, even with the luggage. Well, no need to be angry. I know you're hungry, that's why I brought the lunch his sister prepared."

"Huh? What did you do to my sister?!"

"Your sister gave me this food while you were preparing before you left. Don't be stingy with your sister's generosity. She cares for you."

"That's none of your business," Jelian snorted after taking a box of Mentos, a box containing rice and some baked beans.

Jelian began eating while Aiden took the binoculars and watched.

After a few seconds of silence, Jelian spoke, "Do you..."

Aiden turned to him, then Jelian continued, "...Can my sister be saved?"

Aiden looked in Jelian 's direction, although Jelian didn't return his gaze.

"It's my duty. Not just your sister, but everyone who comes to Osiroh. It will be my duty to save and protect them."

Jelian didn't respond and continued eating his food.

"Okay, I'll make you a different deal. I'll get rid of the entire army on my own. If you do that, you'll both come to Osiroh, and your sister's treatment will be under my supervision. What do you think?"

Jelian turned to him and mocked him. "Alone? You? Don't get carried away. Those idiots will regret ever entering my territory." He said after standing up and finishing his lunch.

"Oh, do you have a plan?".

"Of course I do!".

On the other side of Corredith City, on the highway.

Jelian and Aiden weren't the only ones watching. Even the main squad had spotted them from afar, atop the communication towers. Jelian and Aiden's location was revealed by the reflection of the binoculars when they were aimed at them.

Immediately, the second-in-command ordered a rocket launch, which was headed for the tower.

The rocket blasted off, hitting the tower and destroying it, and its upper part collapsed.

Fortunately, neither Jelian nor Natsuo was hit, and they managed to get to the ground and escape their grasp. The second-in-command was alarmed. He raised his radio and ordered the team on the nearby street to go and check on the tower.

Moments before the rocket launch, Jelian began telling Aiden, "Of course I have a plan! You'll help me."

"Oh, look at him. He got carried away after his first thought. Okay, let's see what you've got".

"I have a bunch of bombs and mines in that bag. You take half, I take half, and you'll distribute them in the sewers, down those streets, you go on the left, and I'll take the right with my dogs and wolves. I'll wipe them out until I reach the leader, with their leader. These are the places you'll head to," he said, pointing to the map marked with markers.

"…It looks like the plan was already prepared." Aiden was looking carefully at the map

"I thought of something like this, but I didn't expect it to happen... There's a missile coming for us!" Jelian and Aiden spotted the missile before they jumped right in.

While falling, Aiden took a can of the liquid Jelian had previously obtained from one of his shirt pockets. He broke the can and sprayed the liquid onto his shoe.

The liquid ignited immediately after breaking beneath the shoe, releasing a blazing green flame. This allowed him to use his ability as a rocket jet, slowing his fall and mitigating its severity. He landed quietly on the roof of a building below the tower.

But the other fell hard, causing the ceiling to shatter, and even the three floors below it to shatter until it reached the bottom. Aiden was surprised by that.

But Seconds later, Jelian emerged from one of the glass windows and sprinted toward his target, as if nothing had happened.

Aiden was amazed by this. Despite the fall, he got up as if it hadn't caused him anything. "I'm starting to like this boy".

He was holding a bag in his right hand containing several bombs, explosives, and mines. Like Jelian , Aiden raced toward his designated destination.

Aiden, Jelian and his dogs arrived to implement the plan, planting several bombs below. The streets were filled with sewage.

Minutes later, the bombs exploded, and the streets beneath each team collapsed.

All the armored vehicles were damaged, and they fell into the rubble, along with some soldiers. Some died, while others survived. Unfortunately, they were not so lucky until they were eliminated, either by Aiden or by Jelian and his dogs.

Half an hour later, on the main street, screams and explosions could still be heard from the deputy commander's radio from ten minutes earlier.

He turned to his commander anxiously, raising his hand. "Commander Andrei, all the …"

"It's clear, idiot. He gave himself a chance to eliminate everyone so he could fight alone here," Andrei said, looking ahead. The deputy was surprised by his commander's focus on the front. He turned around, surprised as well!

A few dozen meters away, a young man in black armor holding two daggers approached them. He had a cold smile on his face and the look of a hunter who had captured his prey. He was alone in the middle of the street.

The commander didn't think much of it and ordered his tank to fire. The team inside the tank complied with the commander's orders, and indeed, the shot hit Jelian . The place where he was standing was destroyed, and he disappeared.

"Arrogant brat, this is the end of the assault on Calvin's army," Andrei said with a sarcastic smile.

He continued laughing, unaware of the approaching pack of dogs and wolves, carrying the remaining explosives in their mouths. They spotted the deputy and the rest of the soldiers, but it was too late.

The armored vehicles, the tank in the lead, driven by the deputy, and even the remaining soldiers had disappeared, a massive explosion enough to be heard by everyone in the city and even outside.

Nasto heard it, and she worried as she looked up. A small mushroom smoke drifted from the window in the distance.

On the other side, Aiden, who had just eliminated his enemy, was surprised by the loud bang and quickly rushed towards it.

Moments later, the burning black smoke that had covered everything dissipated.

Commander Andrei was able to regain consciousness after the buzzing and see around him, but he saw nothing but the wrecked vehicles burning on every side, and the smoke coming from them filling the space.

The floor was shattered everywhere except the one on which he was standing, the only place where a person could stand. It was a circle about ten meters in area, with trenches and holes at its edges caused by the explosion.

Nearby was a wrecked and burning vehicle, and in the middle of it all stood the boy who had appeared earlier and who he thought had eliminated me.

With the successful elimination of everyone present, Jelian and Aiden were the last people left standing on the ground, on a battlefield.

At this precise moment, everything had happened exactly as Jelian had planned. His mission was to isolate the commander alone and eliminate all possible obstacles. To hinder him, he also sent Aiden away so he wouldn't interfere in his fight.

Jelian smiled a triumphant smile, standing four meters away from Andre, who looked at him angrily and contemptuously.

Andrei pointed at Jelian with slow steps, one step at a time, as they looked at each other, until they were close together.

Immediately, Andrei swung a punch from his massive right fist, twice Jelian 's size, with great force and momentum.

With Jelian 's small, nimble body, he was able to easily pass under that massive arm and slash at the right side of Andre's abdomen with his dagger.

However, Jelian realized that the wound wasn't deep, and that the abdominal area wasn't the usual wall of flesh he was used to, but rather a dense mass of flesh that was difficult to cut.

He noticed Andrei to his right, swinging his arm toward him. Once again, he avoided Jelian and stood in front of Andrei.

Jelian changed his plan and climbed swiftly across Andrei's body until he reached his head and kicked him in the chin.

He almost hit Andrei, but Jelian didn't expect his right fist, which came from behind, to hit him in his body. The little boy shouted and threw Jelian away forcefully.

Jelian rolled violently to the ground as a result of the powerful throw, but then he was able to stand up easily.

Andrei smiled as he mocked Jelian , "Is that all you got, kid? Please, I barely feel an itch."

Jelian didn't respond, his expression serious. He knew that the man with the massive muscles and the larger arms than his possessed a wall of muscle that a dagger would be unable to cut through with a normal dagger. Even punching and kicking wouldn't work, which meant he was going to have a hard time against him.

"...That lump of flesh can never be cut..." he thought.

This time, Jelian took the initiative to approach Andrei, and both of them were ready to pounce.

Andrei swung his right fist again, and Jelian ducked to avoid the blow. However, he didn't expect a knee attack from Andrei, which landed on his face.

Andrei quickly grabbed Jelian by his left hand by his clothes and threw him to the ground.

After the fall, Jelian saw a huge punch aimed at him. Then he raised both his daggers but was punched hard, causing the floor to shatter, creating a crater the size of his massive right fist.

Andrei raised his hand and found Jelian 's arms shattered by the force of the fist. "Hahaha..." Andrei laughed and tried to slam another fist back, but Jelian moved before he could dodge the punch. He didn't even have time to respond before being hit by a kick that sent him flying again.

Andrei called out mockingly, "Your body is small, naughty boy, but you never want to die...".

Jelian was kneeling on the ground, coughing up blood. He raised his head, which was covered in dust, with blood pouring from between his eyes.

He noticed Andrei advancing toward him. As he approached, Jelian threw some dust in Andrei's face and quickly stood up.

It was a sudden and despicable move. The dust covered Andrei's eyes, making him unable to see. While he was trying to rub his eyes, Jelian approached Andrei with his dagger.

Using his massive body, Jelian leaped high, screaming, until he stabbed him. Andre's shoulders penetrated deeply, almost as if they were close to his neck.

Andre frowned in pain and tried to grab Jelian , but Jelian moved before he could, leaving one of his daggers hanging over his right shoulder.

Then, using Andre's body, he jumped over him until he reached his back, near the back of his head. He pulled his arms tightly, trying to strangle him and suffocate him.

He squeezed with all his might to squeeze that thick neck, but it wasn't enough. He grabbed Jelian 's body again with his massive arm.

Then, he swung his body around, slamming it repeatedly against the ground, striking here and there. Finally, he threw him forcefully, and he fell into a hole in the ground that had collapsed nearby.

These successive blows were so powerful that they even shattered some of the rocks and earth where they had been struck. Jelian was in shock from the force, coughing up blood.

He couldn't move a single part of his body, as most of his bones were shattered, and deep wounds were scattered across his body. Even parts of his flesh were torn off. It disappeared to the point where bones could be seen.

Seconds later, he looked up at Andrei, who was holding his smashed and burned vehicle in his large right hand, and said coldly, "I will destroy this little body until nothing remains of it!".

Hundreds of meters away from Andre and Jelian 's battle, Aiden was running quickly through the streets. All that time, he was lost, not knowing which way to turn.

"This is a big problem!. If something happens to the boy, I don't know how to confront his sister," he thought to himself, his expression growing worried.

Boom...

He heard an explosion. He turned around and immediately knew he was heading toward the main battalion, but from a distance. He took some shortcuts and alleyways.

Moments later, he reached the main street and saw, in the distance, Andrei's back standing alone on the unbroken ground, surrounded by potholes and trenches. He saw a burning vehicle, flames and smoke escaping from it. It was in front of Andrei, and that was the cause of the deafening noise. Andrei threw the vehicle at Jelian .

Aiden didn't know that it was a direct blast toward Jelian . It only increased his anxiety because there was no sign of him.

Andrei turned around and noticed Aiden in the distance. He sighed, annoyed, "...Oh, right! I forgot the incendiary was with this boy. He took this." "It took longer than I expected for him to die, and now it's your turn".

He fired a killing intent directly at Aiden, letting the other know what Andre was up to.

In response, he pulled out another glass container filled with a dark orange liquid and smashed it with his fist. Sparks shot out, followed by green flames that spread around his arms. He assumed a fighting stance.

Meanwhile, he descended from the high ground toward the cliff and tried to climb back up, but suddenly, before he reached the top, he felt someone climb onto his broad shoulders.

He was shocked when he looked up and saw the boy above him! No, was he that boy? No, not!.

What Andre saw was something he had never seen or even thought of before. What he saw wasn't anything resembling a human, but another being.

A being half-cut off and completely burned. Nothing remained of its body except for part of its abdomen, its shoulder and right arm, and its head—in fact, only the right half of its head. You could see everything. Inside was his skull, a small portion of his brain, and his larynx, which had protruded from his throat.

On his head, there was no jaw, not even a part of his mouth, including his lower teeth and tongue. Arteries, veins, and numerous nerves extending from the visible spinal cord protruded from each opening. What supported that head was his spine and some flesh.

Above all, all those severed, burned, and mutilated parts showed signs of regeneration and healing, and they were slowly regenerating as they had been before.

What was this? Was it a nightmare? A demon? Or pure horror? Was this even real? Whatever Andrei saw before him, it was enough to leave him in a state of shock, unaware of anything. Indeed, his mind stopped working as he stared intently at the object directly above his head.

Moments later, some parts, especially his jaw, regenerated. After he was able to speak, he spoke with his single right eye and a frightening look: "This bastard sends you his greetings from hell!".

Immediately, he plunged his dagger into Andre's right eye until it exited the back of his head, and he died instantly.

Andre's massive body fell to the ground, and Jelian fell with him, but only Jelian was standing.

Immediately, all of his body's organs regenerated, but except for his clothes, which covered only his left thigh, his clothes, and a small portion of his right shoulder. The rest was exposed.

Jelian emerged from the battle unharmed and unscathed. The only thing that had changed was his hair, which had turned half white and some parts, unlike its usual black color.

It was the most ferocious battle Jelian had fought since the incident, but in the end, he was just another one of the dead at his hands.

No matter what happened and no matter what he did, Jelian would continue to fight until the end, and he would certainly win.

Jelian noticed that all of his clothes, armor, and weapons had been transformed into tattered, worn junk. He looked at his left hand, which was on the verge of regenerating and returning to its former glory.

Tab!..., Tab!...

Jelian heard footsteps and turned around.

He saw Aiden standing in shock a few meters away, having descended the cliff.
