I woke up this morning feeling anxious and excited at the same time cause the day I have been waiting for is finally here
Yes!the day I have been waiting for
I'm going to be promoted to the Position of the vice president of Nopia Corporation,my father's company
I have worked so hard for this position and I am finally going to get it
Yes! I am the daughter of the owner of this company but I still have to work my butt off to get promoted while my sister gets everything on a platter of gold
I know you are wondering why it's like this
I'm Heaven Salenzo the daughter of one of the richest man in Norway
My father Franco Salenzo owns the popular Nopia company
And my mother Mary Salenzo
Hmmm....may her soul rest in peace
She died of heart attack when I was five years old
She was the best mother anyone could ever pray for but death took her away
Few months later my father brought his mistress who s worked by butt off the assistant
The next promotion was finally coming which made me make up my mind to confront my father in which I did and after a long fight,he promised to give me the position of the vice president which I deserved and today is finally the day
I got into the shower,took my bath,styled my hair into a ponytail and slipped into a pink tank top and a black pant trouser,put on my mom's favorite jewelry,a gold chain with a diamond pendant with the shape of an heart and a bracelet and earrings that complements it,put on a light makeup and a light pink lipstick
Cause I need to look good today
I looked into the mirror and jeez
I was looking stunning
I put on my pink heels and grabbed my pink bag
Seems like I will be going all pink today
I got into my car and zoomed off to the office .............
I got to the company and the first person I saw was my stepsister
She looked at me with a wide grin
"Good morning sis"she said
"Good morning Alicia"I said with a quick smile
"Seems like someone is pretty excited today and I think I know why,probably because you are going to get the position of a manager"she said and then chuckled
"Hmm"I mouthed
"Well congrat sis"she replied and then hugged me and whispered in my ear
"And that's how far you can get,probably the last promotion you will ever get"she whispered with a smirk on her face
And the fake smile I have been trying to put on suddenly disappeared
"Wha..t do you"
And before I could finish my sentence she gave me a wicked smile,turned and left
I stood there helplessly in anger
And i suddenly remembered why I was there
"Hmm… if only she knows I will be getting the position of a vice president today,I could imagine her expression after the announcement of me being vice president will be made
I burst into laughter and made my way to the meeting room
All the board members,my sister,other staffs including my father was gathered there
My fiancee Ronaldo was supposed to be there but he traveled for a meeting and would be coming back today
The meeting started and they started giving people their promotion later
it was time to announce who will be getting the position of the vice president
"The position of the vice president will be going to.."My father said and before he could complete his sentence I stood up with a wide smile on my face since I already knew the position was going to be mine
"Miss Alicia Salezo"he mentioned
And my world collapsed
