Chapter 3 - BLUE BLOOD – EPISODE 3

James: "Human and what?! Are you sure? Did you double-check it?"

Cloe: "Yes, I'm sure. I checked it two, maybe three times. It's the same result every time."

James: "Where are you now?"

Cloe: "Um… I'm in the lab. Why? What's going on?"

James: "I'm coming there."

Cloe: "Okay, but—why are you coming all of a sudden?"

The call ends.

James rushed to his table, grabbed an old medical report and a key, then bolted out the door. Within minutes, he was on his bike, racing against time.

Sometime Later – Forensic Lab

A motorbike screeched to a halt outside the lab. James jumped off, stormed inside.

James: "Cloe!"

Cloe: "I'm right here!"

James: "Show me the blood sample. And the reports. Now."

Cloe (confused): "Why? What's wrong?"

James handed her the old medical report and took out a small sealed vial of the blue liquid.

James: "Check these two. See if the DNA matches."

Cloe: "Okay…"

She turned to the lab station, running tests while James paced restlessly.

Minutes Later

Cloe: "James… James… JAMES!"

James (startled): "Huh? Yeah? What is it?"

Cloe: "They match. The blood in your report and the one we found—they're identical."

James slumped into a chair, face pale, eyes full of dread.

Cloe: "James, what's going on? You're scaring me."

James (whispering): "I should've killed her… I made a mistake. A big one."

Cloe: "What? Who are you talking about?!"

James: "You don't know, Cloe. You don't know what this really is."

Cloe: "Then tell me. Tell me what this is about!"

James (sighs): "Do you know about C42?"

Cloe (surprised): "Yeah… I've heard of it. Case 42, right?"

James: "What do you know about it?"

Cloe: "Honestly? Not much. Just rumors. Something about an alien… or a creature. And that the files were sealed. It happened like 12 years ago, right?"

James: "Yes. There was a creature. And I was there. I was part of the team that handled that case."

Cloe (shocked): "Wait—you were part of it? Are you saying it was real? That the creature… existed?"

James: "Yes. I saw it with my own eyes."

Cloe: "Oh my God… Was it terrifying? Could it fly? What did it look like?"

James: "It looked human… just like us. But it could crawl on walls. It could spit web-like fluid from its mouth. Its eyes—glowing red like burning coal. It could control the dead."

Cloe (hushed voice): "James… tell me what happened. Everything."

James: "It was twelve years ago. I was one of ten detectives. We were investigating a string of strange killings in an abandoned factory in the middle of a forest. Forty officers were with us."

FLASHBACK – 12 Years Ago

Abandoned Factory, Forest Outskirts

The rain poured heavily outside. Thunder echoed. Inside the massive, derelict factory hall, 20–25 officers stood in tense silence. Others guarded the perimeter.

A figure stood near the broken window, watching the forest. Raindrops trickled down the glass like tears.

Officer (calling out): "Mr. James!"

The man turned around slowly.

He looked nothing like the James we know today—his aura was sharp, intense, lethal. The rain soaked his coat, but he stood tall, composed, and battle-hardened.

James: "Yes?"
