Chapter 35 - 35

Thor, don't worry about the insignificant matter of you being thrown by the Hulk." Tony Stark's annoying voice sounded again. "If you have time for this, you should analyze the future revealed by the question!"

"The most noteworthy point about the title is that Asgard will undergo a major change in the future." Thor's face was solemn when he mentioned this. "In the video, I told the Valkyrie that Asgard was 'in imminent danger,' which must be a huge crisis."

"You are the prince of Asgard. Can you think of anything that could put Asgard in 'danger'?" asked Phil Coulson.

"It's totally unimaginable." Thor thought for a moment and shook his head. "Yes, Asgard has enemies, but those enemies are no match for my father. As long as my father is alive, Asgard will never be in danger."

"Thor, are you sure about what you just said?" Tony Stark asked thoughtfully.

"I'm absolutely certain," Thor said with certainty. "I've followed my father through battles across the land, and I know exactly what a powerful man he is. It's no exaggeration to say that my father is the best in the Nine Realms! No one could put Asgard in imminent danger under his hands."

"So what if your father wasn't around?" Tony Stark asked.

"What did you say?!"

"You said it yourself, that as long as your father is here, Asgard can't be in imminent danger. So, based on that statement, if Asgard is in imminent danger, does that mean your father is gone?"

"Father is gone..." Thor's head buzzed at that moment. Intuitively, he felt that what Tony Stark said made sense.

It is true that my father is very powerful and is a top-notch master in the Nine Realms, but my father is too old and has aged.

Even God is not immortal and will one day wither away.

Could it be that my father's time is up?

Thinking about some of his father's recent actions and arrangements, he didn't understand them at the time, and even felt that they were unreasonable and inexplicable. But if he substituted the condition that his father's death was approaching, then those strange behaviors would be understandable.

Father, you are preparing for your funeral...

"No, no, no! My father is so powerful. Even if he is old, how could he die so soon?" Thor shook his head fiercely, trying to get rid of this crazy idea.

"Since Odin is so powerful that no external enemy can threaten Asgard, there is another possibility that Asgard is in imminent danger." Phil Coulson provided another idea, "The reason Asgard is in imminent danger is not external, but internal."

"What do you mean?" Thor asked.

"Look at your Asgard system. The words throne and prince? Don't these keywords remind you of something?" Phil Coulson said in his unfailingly calm tone. "Perhaps Asgard will be plunged into civil strife in the future due to disputes over the throne or something like that! It's not uncommon for powerful nations to collapse from within. This has always been a common occurrence in history."

"Coulson, your reasoning is more reliable than Stark's." Thor subconsciously rejected Odin's death. "But it's unlikely. My father Odin has two children, me and Loki, but neither of us has any interest in the throne. I wish Loki would take that position. So it's impossible for Loki and I to fight for the throne and cause Asgard to collapse from within."

"I believe you have no interest in the throne, but I don't think Loki has." Tony Stark expressed a different opinion. "You weren't present for the last round of questions. In the future revealed in that video, Loki led the Chitauri to attack Earth, most likely for the throne! So I think you were deceived by Loki. He must have always coveted the throne!"

"Stark,

"Have you always been so ridiculous?" Thor completely disagreed with Tony Stark's words. "Loki and I grew up together. We've been together day and night. No one knows him better than me! I know exactly what kind of person he is! He has no interest in that position in the slightest! Even if Loki really coveted the throne, he would have attacked me. Why would he attack Earth?"

"Yeah, Stark, that doesn't make sense." Clint Barton sided with Thor this time. "Loki wants to be the king of Asgard, so he should be causing trouble in Asgard. What does that have to do with Earth?"

"That's what I'm trying to find out." Tony Stark walked up to Thor and looked at him with a serious face. "Thor, I know you don't believe me now, but I still want to remind you that Loki is definitely coveting that position! Asgard's future is in jeopardy, and it's very likely because of Loki!"

"Wait a minute, everyone, don't take it so seriously." Clint Barton had another idea. "Maybe it really isn't Loki."

"Barton is right, it's definitely not Loki." Thor walked to Clint Barton and hooked his arm around Clint Barton's shoulder without any hesitation.

"Thor, that person could be one of your other brothers," said Clint Barton.

"What are you talking about, Barton? I have no other brothers except Loki." Thor said.

"Look, brother, you don't know, yes, this is the plot!"

"What on earth are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about illegitimate children!" Clint Barton said, "Perhaps your father has other illegitimate children living abroad. Unlike you, he is Odin's eldest son, the legitimate heir to the throne. He suffered a lot and shed a lot of blood outside, and was even hunted down because of it. But he was unwilling to accept this and has been quietly accumulating strength. One day in the future, when he becomes strong enough, he will return to Asgard and seize the throne!"

"Barton, it's a shame you don't write a novel." Thor was speechless. "What the hell is going on?"

"Hasn't this happened in many kingdoms throughout history?" Clint Barton said. "Put yourself in their shoes. When you're in a position of power and the entire kingdom belongs to you, how many women would throw themselves at you? You might lose control one day."

"Impossible! Barton, this is a terrible idea."

"Isn't it possible that he's a bastard?"

"Absolutely impossible!"

"Impossible?"

"That's impossible."

"So she's an illegitimate daughter?"

"Come on! Barton! I, Thor, absolutely cannot have a sister! I guarantee it with my life!"
