Chapter 16 - chapter 16

As Clad ran after the Flying monster, an elf caught up to him and shouted at him.

"I know you are a child of Gaia, but there is no way you can reach it from this distance without harming her!"

"Child of Gaia? Is he referring to me being a dryad?" Clad thought as he was running in the heavily wooded forest, looking for the right time to attack.

"Shut up, you're distracting me," Clad replies to the elf, leaving him behind as he runs faster due to him starting to lose track of the creature, and sees that a tree on his left seems to be bent enough for him to use as a footstool. As he ran and used the nearby tree for a boost, he jumped at the owl, unsheathing his blade. He positions his sword, ready to kill the monster. His grip tightened, he tilted his blade, and prepared his swing.

[BLOSSOM STRIKE]!

While being in the air, he swung his blade at the monster. Pink energy and white flowers came out of his blade as he cut its right wing off, making it drop the woman and letting a screech as it fell to the ground.

The girl shouted as she fell, but Clad, using his dryad powers to make the plants under the woman grow into a huge flower, made her land on the big flower safely. The woman thanks and is truly grateful, as she thought she would never be able to see her sister again.

"Let's go," Clad says as he walks away from the woman.

The two walked for a few seconds when they ran into the elf who was following clad.

The elf gave Clad a mean look before talking to the woman.

"Are you fine!?" The elf says with a panicked look on his face.

"Yes, I'm fine."

The three walk the remaining distance before meeting the rest of the group, who seem to have dealt with the rest of the monsters.

Adonis is lying on the ground, out of breath, and the other elves are barely hanging on, and in the midst of this depressing mood, stood Lylia, not tired nor hurt.

"Lylia barely seems tired; has she barely done anything? She stepped in only when she felt like it like she did earlier," clad thought to himself before they joined the rest of the group, and the elves thanked him for getting her back before continuing their walk after a short break.
