Becoming a Supreme Overgod indeed requires a mutated soul—this was something Sadius only came to understand after ascending to Overgod status.
It was also something he instinctively realized after the universe had undergone its promotion.
But a soul mutation was only the most basic requirement.
One also had to ensure that the fused divine power could absorb sufficient origin energy. Only then could one possibly become an Overgod.
As for this so-called origin energy, Sadius knew of only two types.
The first was the amethyst origin.
The second was Divine Spark essence.
Now that he had become an Overgod, Sadius could see through the entire Coiling Dragon universe with a single glance.
Naturally, he knew:
There was no third type of origin energy in existence.
And so, Sadius kept this information hidden.
After becoming a Overgod, Sadius' primary task was to create the Aether Overgod Realm.
With a mere wave of his hand, he created a clone.
While he focused on creating the new realm, this clone would act in his stead in the world of mortals.
As a Overgod, space no longer posed any limitations to him.
With a single flicker, Sadius' clone appeared in the Yulan Plane.
In the Dark Forest, Beirut and Bluefire stared at the reappearance of Sadius before them.
They had wanted to step forward and ask questions, but then they remembered—Sadius was now a Supreme Overgod.
Even though they were Sovereigns, they had to show respect.
"Beirut pays respects to the Supreme Overgod, my lord."
"Leylin pays respects to the Supreme Overgod, my lord."
"Uncle, Mr. Leylin, there's no need for such formality," Sadius said.
Seeing Sadius still treat them with respect, the two men were naturally overjoyed.
"Uncle, I must thank you for helping me become an Overgod. I had hoped to gift you an Overgod artifact, but unfortunately, even I must abide by the laws of Heaven and Earth. Overgod artifacts may not be given away."
Sadius let out a sigh.
After becoming an Overgod, Sadius realized he couldn't act as he pleased.
If he were to commit acts that violated the proper operation of the universe, he might very well cause the collapse of the cosmos.
However, within the bounds of universal laws, Sadius could still do a few things.
For example, he could manipulate the chances of someone obtaining an Overgod token when issuing Sovereign-level quests.
"Uncle, now that I am an Overgod, Augusta will no longer dare move against you. From this day forth, you are free to leave the Yulan Plane at will."
Beirut was overjoyed. Bluefire was equally elated.
As a Sovereign, he had long grown resentful of being forced to cower in the material plane.
Lacking sufficient strength himself, he had always hoped to cultivate someone strong enough to stand against Augusta—someone who could lead him out of the Yulan Plane.
Now, that person has finally been born.
And not only was he strong, but he had also become a true Overgod, someone even the four Chief Edict Rulers had to obey.
"However, Uncle," Sadius continued,
"Your identity is special. You are tied to a key part of the path to Supreme Ascension. I must take your true body, as well as Bebe with me to the Aether Sovereign Realm I'm creating. Only there can I ensure your protection."
Beirut understood at once.
Sadius' ascension to the Supreme was directly linked to the Divine Spark essence he had provided.
It was obvious that this essence was a critical requirement in achieving Supremicy.
Beirut didn't hesitate—he nodded and agreed to leave with Sadius.
Of course, only his true body would go. His Sovereign avatar and divine clone would remain behind, unaffected.
After giving instructions, Sadius vanished.
The next moment, he appeared on the Blood Ridge Continent.
"Nien, Liya, Bebe will need to stay with me for quite some time."
Sadius briefly explained things to the two of them and told them: Once the Supreme Aether Realm was complete, they could visit and reunite with Bebe.
Having taken Bebe and Beirut's true body, Sadius brought them first to where his original body was located. After that, Sadius appeared in the Amethyst Mountains.
Everyone there was overwhelmed with joy upon seeing him.
Among them were Sadius' two wives and three children—and also the Redbud Sovereign, who had signed a soul contract with Sadius.
"Father, you've become an Overgod!"
The red-haired, ever-spirited Eunice exclaimed excitedly.
Though she wasn't Sadius' biological daughter, he had never shown her any less love.
"Eunice," Sadius said,
"Father has prepared a gift for the two of you."
With a wave of his hand, Sadius condensed a pair of earrings from Aether Origin energy.
"These earrings are a soul-defense Overgod artifact. Even when separated, each one retains the power of an Overgod artifact. When combined, they can amplify your soul force by tenfold."
Since Eunice often split herself into two personas, Sadius felt that gifting just one artifact would be unsuitable, while gifting two would break the rules set by the other Overgods or rather the embodiment of rules.
So, he gave her this special Overgod artifact, cleverly designed to stay within bounds while still offering immense power.
"Linley, this is a divine sword your Grandpa Beirut forged for you. You can try absorbing its Divine Spark essence to strengthen your own divine power."
"Luoshen, these are your gauntlets—also Overgod artifacts."
These weapons were originally just Highgod artifacts, but with a casual wave of his hand, Sadius upgraded them to Overgod artifacts.
It was actually better to call them lower Overgod artifacts. Any higher would break the rules and Sovereigns were not allowed Overgod artifacts unless completing a mission. They had to prove their worth—a way to test their capacity as middle managers.
"I'm an Overgod now. Giving each family member an Overgod artifact isn't too much to ask," Sadius thought.
Naturally, no one dared object.
Next, Sadius gave Reyna and Lina each an Overgod artifact as well. Though these items wouldn't be of much use to them—If any real danger arose, Sadius could act immediately.
Then, Sadius turned to face the Redbud Sovereign.
"Zijing pays respects to the Overgod!"
Though respectful, she was clearly excited as well.
Her relationship with Sadius had always been close.
Seeing Sadius suddenly become an Overgod, she immediately guessed that it had something to do with his return to the Yulan Continent.
"Zijing, I must also thank you for helping me become an Overgod. This lower earth-type Sovereign spark is now yours."
Sadius handed over one of the two remaining Sovereign sparks left by Beirut.
Zijing looked at the spark before her, unable to contain her excitement.
With this, her power would reach the Chief Sovereign level.
Though she would still be inferior to the Chief Sovereigns who possessed Overgod artifacts, she would now stand on par with other Chief Sovereigns.
"At the same time," Sadius added,
"I need you to do something for me."
"Please command me, my lord."
"I want you to spread the method of becoming a Destruction Overgod. Tell everyone that the Amethyst Mountains hold the inheritance of the Destruction Overgod."
To become a Destruction Overgod, several conditions must be met:
Soul mutation.
Innate talent in Destruction laws.
All divine clones must independently cultivate to the Highgod level.
One must refine an origin energy, such as amethyst origin.
One must gain the recognition of an Overgod formed by the laws of Heaven and Earth.
Across the many planes, there were actually quite a few soul-mutated individuals with Destruction-type clones.
For example, there was Elmons, the Violet Blood Fiend who had died thousands of years ago.
And also, Lyle and Diana, who had been found by the Redbud Sovereign.
What Sadius wanted—Was for these mutated souls with Destruction-type clones to come to the Amethyst Mountains, then challenge a series of trials.
At the end, the Destruction Overgod formed by Heaven and Earth would select a successor—the one who would be acknowledged as the next Destruction Overgod.
