Serena quickly got a grip on herself, got rid of the prosthetic silicon body suit, thought fast and tore an electric cable, took out some essential oils and rubbed them across the lower left of her mom's chest then took the broken cord and taped it across in a desperate attempt to shock her heart into beating again.
But after several attempts, her mom remained lifeless, she was scared hated herself and regrated not attempting to take her out before trying something as dangerous as the energy cores.
She then turned her eyes yellow, looked around for a heat signature, the woman who brought her back to life, that was the only person she knew that could possibly be her last chance.
But Diamond seemed to have disappeared after that kiss, she needed to find a way to get her, and that was when she thought of something rather stupid,
"Diamond" she screamed at the top of her voice hitting the highest notes she ever hit, waiting expectantly for a reply, just hoping that there was someone listening, and she was making a difference pother than alerting the entire light mansion, ruining her plan.
But that selfish goddess was nowhere to be found, left with no other option she faced her hand to herself, it illuminated a bright white, she looked at the intricate weave of lines that appeared to all be centered towards one focal point, at the center of the star.
She pressed her hand on it, felling some form of resonance and just then she felt the wind flow, at speeds she had never seen it, then all of a sudden, the roof parted bringing a bright white light into view.
Then came down a woman, with skin looking so white it was almost, luminescent. She donned a beautiful sapphire blue gown, and had unnatural blue hair, her eyes sapphire blue as well. She wore not a single ornament or jewel but she looked simply elegant, timeless.
It was Diamond, and she looked to have come straight of a fantasy, the Lady in Blue. At that moment Serena felt tears well up in her eyes, she had never felt so relieved to see someone, and that says a lot considering she had just seen her mother after thinking she was dead, then turned evil.
"Serena, I see you did not die, I guess some things are meant to be, and others are meant to be redefined" Diamond said, her voice carrying only and nothing but regal elegance, her naturally pale blue tinted lips curved in a smile.
Serena just ran up and hugged her, following the burst of emotions she felt at that moment.
"Oh, I see you missed me, but Serena I have not come here to chit chat, you are doing something serious and I was sent here to stop you" Serena finally got a grip at herself and proclaimed.
"I do not care what I did, right now I need you to do something for my mom, you have already done something that brought me back to life, just do the same for my mom" Serena said, pouring out her heart's desires. Diamond chuckled,
"You think you need me, and that my dear is your greatest weakness, do you know that what you just did is taking the globe back in time, I do not know to what scale but if I keep the time frozen for so long the Space-Time continuum would lose its balance.
"Screw that, I want my mom" Serena proclaimed passionately.
"I would brush this off, you do not understand the gravity of your words, which frankly seem stupid" Diamond replied,
"I do not know what to say"
"Then don't, okay so breathe, you do not know what you are doing so I'm going to clearly outline the possible consequences of your actions and tell you how to navigate them"
"What are you talking about, I said I want my mom back"
"Chill, you are reversing time, this would mean everything goes back in time, and the only one who would know that you went back is you, and of course me, since I am a god of that, and that means your mom would be back but anything you do differently, can change something that would happen to someone's grandchild on the next face of the country, what I'm trying to say is that changing the past would inevitably change the future, even letting people know of their future can change that future, so that change is always, negative, this time your mom died next someone who would've become an angels parent did forcing them to become a street rat and learn the street ways, and become something way worse in the end"
"What if I said, I do not care, I can't live without my mom and you should know that since you have been watching me my entire life"
"I know you can live alone, even if you were the only person on the face of earth, besides you lived without your mother before you found out she was in this room"
"But now that I know she is here, in this state"
"Shut up, we both know what and what not you are capable of,"
Then all of a sudden the wild winds stopped rapidly swirling and Diamond gave her a look that spell disappointment.
"That was a test I staged for you, and it seems you are not ready, in the future you are going to have to be capable of letting everyone you got close to go away., and it seems like you cannot do that just the way you are, some might say it was a coincidence, me letting you off the hook so lightly, but I know that in life there is no such thing, the reason you did not die on that battlefield was to make a different in the world, and the fact that you are not willing to sacrifice comes at the expense of countless of lives"
"Just shut up, I do not give a damn about that"
"Then you are not worthy of the power you hold, not yet"
"If you think one day…"
"Shut up! In the future you will learn but until then you're under my care" then she held in her hand a golden orb pulsating with power and Serena could not resist the urge to ask
"What is that"
"Let's just say it is your mom's calling, you, your mom, your sister ends your aunt, all have been born with traits to create a balance, amidst beings that were deemed too dangerous thanks to my petition, because I wasn't too scared to go up to those people who call themselves God's and say no being should not be allowed to live just because they are deemed too powerful"
"I do not get it" Serena said, and on that note the orb that was pulsating was placed into her mom, Diamond looked her in the eye and said, in an extremely ominous tone.
"Do you know, that when I was young, too young to understand what happened every member of my race was murdered, I was a baby, saved by my parents because the gods did not know of my existence, beings that could watch the world from the comfort of their sofa with popcorn and that was not coincidence, because I was meant to be a god and play my part in all this, not fall for you and I hate myself for it too, imagine why I kept my distance, I just could not watch you around all those guys"
Then she turned into pure white light, too bright to look at, not even warm like the sun, as sharp as ever and in her place was absolutely, nothing in fact it looked like she was never present.
But what was attention garnering was the fact that her mother looked healthy, she looked younger but still mature, her eyes carrying this sense of warmness she never saw, Anna's hair looked fuller than ever and that was just the normal part.
She had two glowing wings, that just looked beautiful, pure white and more than ever the reverie she usually gave stood out, on her head was a halo, and Serena could not contain her joy.
In a fraction of a second, she traversed through the hall and grabbed a hold of her mom, which left her startled, Serena used less than moderate strength making sure not to harm her mom.
Her mom was shocked by her speed, but soon relished her hug, they remained in that warm embrace for moment.
And they shouldn't have let down their guard, soon Elaine was hitting the door with her great sword, after a few tries she began to strike the inside with her sword which could ignore all distance and began striking at them. Serena was quick, motivated not to let a thing befall her mom she began to teleport all over the place, moving here and there at the speed of light blocking the swords. Then her mom asked,
"Wow, have I been here for that long, you seem to be all grown up"
"It's been half a year, but due to how many times I've evolved I look way older, I'm still sixteen, I know you have more questions but right now we have to look for a way out"
"Do you think my wings could help, though I have not a clue how I got them"
"I don't think you are capable of using them, so let's not count on that I'll use brute force"
"Okay"
Just then Serena opened the door, and could not help but notice the prolonged eye contact Elaine and her mom shared, making her feel suspicious. But that was just the beginning of just another Mystery.
