Thinking of the Dark Sparklence sitting in the Bully System's inventory, Maguire could only feel a wave of speechlessness.
"You've got to be kidding me. Which genius went and shut my wormhole?!"
"Don't tell me my Dark Sparklence is only gonna get used for commuting now?"
Beside him, Holland looked over at Maguire and said softly,
"I… I don't think I can hold on much longer, Maguire…"
Only then did Maguire realize something important: Holland's stamina was on a completely different level from his own.
Right now, Holland was already struggling just to maintain his elemental form.
On his face, twisted with exhaustion and worry, he forced out a tiny smile and said slowly,
"Maguire, I'm about to hit my limit… There's something I've always wanted to ask you."
"Can you give me a straight, definite answer?"
Seeing Holland like this, Maguire already had a pretty good idea what he wanted to ask.
Hearing those words, Thor at their side also looked stricken.
They hadn't spent that long together, but they had fought side by side.
Even Thor's eyes couldn't help but turn a bit red.
Maguire, however, just stared at the two of them, completely deadpan.
"Can you two not act like we're having some tragic final farewell? I never said I didn't have a way out of this."
At that, Thor and Holland both lit up, staring at Maguire with pure surprise.
"Maguire, you mean… you do have a way? That's great!"
Hearing Holland say that, Maguire gave him a profoundly mocking look.
"You really think so little of me? You think I can't even handle something this small?"
Holland looked away, suddenly feeling a little embarrassed.
Thor spoke up as well, half anxious, half hopeful.
"So… what method do you have to get us back?"
Maguire just sighed helplessly.
The next second, he flipped his hand, and something that looked like a kid's toy appeared in his palm.
Thor and Holland both stared, baffled.
"What is that thing? You expect that little toy to send us back to Blue Star?"
Maguire looked at the two of them with open contempt.
"You pair of country bumpkins. This is the famous Dark Sparklence."
He added,
"You'd better brace yourselves. Don't go getting scared."
In the next instant, Maguire raised the Dark Sparklence high in his hand.
He let out a loud shout.
Countless streams of purple energy erupted from the Dark Sparklence in his grip.
The terrifying energy surge made the entire region of outer space tremble.
A second later, a sinister aura spread outward.
Light flared.
Its radiance flooded the pitch-black void.
When the light finally faded, Thor and Holland could at last see what had appeared in front of them.
A giant tens of meters tall now loomed before their eyes.
Black, vein-like markings crawled all across its body.
Its streamlined frame exuded pure physical power—a brutal beauty.
Menacing, yet strangely elegant.
It was none other than the Ancient Dark King—Dark Tiga.
Seeing this, Thor and Holland were both utterly stunned.
"H-How did this giant show up? Did Maguire turn into that?"
"This guy… his body isn't as gigantic as your elemental form was, Maguire, but it looks solid.
"It doesn't look like an elemental body at all, nothing hazy or unreal about it. It feels like a living, breathing being."
Even so, Thor and Holland were still totally confused.
"Is this giant form really enough to take us back to Blue Star?"
Right then, Maguire's voice suddenly rang out beside them.
"Get into my palm. I'll take you on a little trip through time and space."
At that point, Thor and Holland were beyond words—shock was all they had left.
Down on Blue Star…
Godzilla's colossal body was still lumbering after Iron Man Tony ahead of him.
Having received his orders from above, Tony now knew a nuclear warhead was going to be used to destroy this terrifying monster.
And he also knew full well that meant dying together with it.
At ten thousand meters up, aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier, all of the Avengers, along with that other masked vigilante, Garfield and Harry, all wore equally grim expressions.
They all knew Tony had already made up his mind to sacrifice himself.
Even Captain America Steve, who'd had plenty of disagreements with Tony, now felt genuine respect for this playboy in armor.
Behind them, Godzilla glared furiously at Iron Man hovering not far off in the sky.
Tony's solemn voice echoed through the Helicarrier.
"Do it."
Nick Fury's face was dark; no one could tell what he was thinking.
A moment later, he slowly uttered two words.
"Launch it."
With Fury's order, a fighter jet that had been standing by rocketed off the deck of the Helicarrier, banking toward Godzilla and Iron Man below.
Down beneath the clouds, Tony was still dodging around Godzilla, buying every last second he could.
High above, at ten thousand meters, the jet's bomb bay slowly opened.
A massive warhead dropped toward the ground.
Inside the Helicarrier, Natasha and the others could barely hide their grief.
The huge warhead fell, streaking down.
A second sun bloomed in the sky.
Tony's face was calm.
He just whispered one line, softly.
"Jarvis… tell Pepper I love her. A million, million times over."
Up on the Helicarrier, no one could bear to keep watching the images on the screen anymore.
Just then, an excited shout broke the silence.
"Look! What's that?!"
They stared upward—there were three suns in the sky now.
A third, blazing sphere of light had appeared.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
"What the hell is that?"
At that exact moment, Maguire and the others had just emerged from the time-space tunnel…
…only to see a miniature sun hanging right above them.
A terrifying realization flashed through all of their minds at once.
"That's a goddamn nuke!"
