Nick Fury looked at Steve and asked, "Captain. How did it go?"
Facing everyone, Steve said, "I don't think the Hellblood Demon is as terrifying as you say. I just met his uncle and aunt. From the way he treats them, it's clear that although he's incredibly powerful, he doesn't see himself as some god above all."
The others nodded, expressions mixed.
Just then, the phone on Fury's desk rang. He picked up.
"Director, something's happened. In a plaza in Paris, that guy in green showed up again."
Everyone's face tightened.
An instant later, the holo-screen showed the scene at the Paris square: a figure in green armor—Loki—standing with scepter in hand, looking down at the crowd in disdain.
Fury immediately ordered the team to move out and capture Loki.
Meanwhile, our Maguire had arrived at the Spider Tower. In the training arena, three terrifying auras weaved and crashed—biting cold, searing magma, and flickers of golden light across the air.
A flash—and Maguire appeared in the arena. "Not bad. You managed elementalization in such a short time."
With physiques far beyond ordinary, Garfield, Holland, and Harry didn't need long to unlock elementalization. The three looked at Maguire, exhilarated.
The ever-lively Garfield burst out, "Maguire, elementalization is insane—I really feel like some kind of spirit!"
"That freedom to change at will and control ice—" another started.
"Alright, don't get carried away," Maguire cut in. "You'll have your chance to shine very soon."
The three dropped elementalization and came over. Harry asked calmly, "What happened?"
"If I'm not wrong," Maguire said, "aliens will invade Earth soon."
"Aliens? You mean actual aliens? They're real?" The three were stunned.
"The universe is too big for there not to be aliens," Maguire said, deadpan.
Harry pressed, "Where did you get this intel?"
Maguire smiled. "Don't worry about that."
Night fell.
With no unexpected accidents, Loki's plan still succeeded. The unsuspecting Avengers captured him. But while they were transporting him back to S.H.I.E.L.D. by air, a streak of lightning crashed down onto the quinjet—Thor, armored and thunder-wreathed, dropped in. Not knowing the whole story, the Avengers fought him on sight. Thankfully, under Captain Steve's mediation, they calmed enough to talk.
The next day at noon.
Ten thousand meters up, a massive Helicarrier hovered cloaked above the clouds. The Avengers were gathered aboard. Under the influence of the Mind Stone, Tony—already prideful—sniped at Steve's "outdated" ideas until the two exploded into a shouting match. Thor and General Ross, still sore over last night's scuffle, started arguing too.
Right then, a craft appeared near the Helicarrier. On its deck, a man in a black tactical suit—Hawkeye under Loki's control—drew his bow. An arrow screamed away and slammed into a Helicarrier engine. A violent explosion tore through the airframe, sending the quarreling heroes flying.
In his glass cell, Loki smiled, satisfied.
Only then did the team realize someone had found the Helicarrier's position and was here to break Loki out. They scrambled to locate the attackers.
The blast slammed Dr. Banner to the deck. Black Widow Natasha fixed her eyes on him—his control over the Hulk was far from perfect, and a fright like this could force a transformation.
Before her fearful gaze, Banner's body swelled; his skin flushed green. Natasha sprinted away as the Hulk erupted and charged after her, smashing everything in his path—until Thor intercepted him, hammer raised, and the two titans collided.
Meanwhile, in New York, a blue pillar lanced skyward from the top of Stark Tower. Through the wormhole beyond, the dark void of deep space seethed with the Chitauri army. Dozens of massive bio-mechanical leviathans drifted closer to the gate, bearing down on the city.
