Chapter 12 - the boy and luck

One day, the boy left the house and went out into the street. He approached a woman selling flour. João looked at her and said to himself, "Oh my God, what a bad business! Why don't you do something better?" He continued to think about various possibilities, and what was engraved in the child's mind was that things are very easy to do.

The child quickly left the street, ran home, and asked his father, "Dad, why are there women on the street with such small businesses and why haven't they become as successful as you?"

The father, surprised, replied, "Son... the same luck I have isn't the same as the woman on the street has." The curious son replied, "But how? What is luck?"

The father paused and answered, "Calm down." I'll answer you now... luck is when life offers us for free the power to have something valuable in our eyes. The father's response to his son made the son think of new possibilities for questions.

Outraged by the injustice of the word "luck," the son stood in the corner, thinking seriously about the lady, wondering why she's unlucky.

He got up, ran to the lady, and said, "Ma'am, why aren't you lucky in life?" The lady replied... son, what luck are you referring to? The boy replied, "The luck of having something valuable." The lady looked at him and said, "My son, I'm unlucky because I'm allied with God, and what makes me happy isn't having a lot, but having a little. Often, we have everything, but we lose it until it's from God."

The son remembered what his father had said and said, "So, what my father has is luck? Isn't everything that's lucky from God?" The Lady Boy and Luck

One day, the boy left the house and entered the street. He approached a woman selling flour. João looked at her and said to himself, "Oh my God, what a bad business! The father, surprised, replied, "Son... the same luck I have isn't the same as the lady on the street has." The curious son replied, "But how? What is luck?"

The father paused and answered, "Calm down." I'll tell you right now... luck is when life offers us for free the power to have something valuable in our eyes. The father's response to his son made him think of new possibilities for questions.

Outraged by the injustice of the word luck, the son stood in the corner, thinking seriously about the lady, wondering why you don't have luck.

He got up, ran to the lady, and said, "Ma'am, why don't you have luck in life?" The lady replied... son, what luck are you referring to? The boy replied, "Has your father arrived now?" and the boy replied yes. The lady told the boy to go home and tell his father what luck meant. Maybe that answer about the definition of luck is wrong. Go find your father and see if he's managed to reboot his brain yet.
