On a busy and anxious Monday, Su Qing was still the first one to arrive at school.
During break, Liu Ranran couldn't wait to run up to her, staring at her with a piercing gaze.
"Qing Qing, who did you go out for dinner with yesterday? I asked you to go shopping, but you didn't even come out. Instead, you went out for steak with someone else."
"With a friend. I'll go shopping with you next week."
Thinking of last night, Su Qing couldn't help but get distracted.
"Qing Qing, how's the steak...!"
"That app I recommended to you is super useful! Basically, every meal you choose on it is half price!"
Liu Ranran sat in Zhang Yihan's seat, chin in her hand, waiting for Su Qing's praise. She'd eaten there several times, but it was too expensive. Luckily, they had a group buy.
"It's pretty good."
She gathered her textbooks, her hands pausing for a second as she sorted them. Su Qing's eyes were expressionless.
She hadn't used the group buy coupon she'd bought last night because Jiang Sui was a VIP at the restaurant. When they were checking out, the manager came out and called him "young master."
Su Qing was momentarily bewildered.
Liu Ranran, accustomed to her calm demeanor, simply stared at the in-class test paper that had just been handed out on Zhang Yihan's desk.
Zhang Yihan was just a few points away from a perfect score in physics!
"Qing Qing, your deskmate is amazing! He's even attending classes after receiving a recommendation. Not only did he attend classes, but he almost got a perfect score on the quiz!"
Liu Ranran's face was filled with despair and envy. She turned her head and asked Su Qing.
"Qing Qing, how many points did you get..."
She stared at her eagerly.
"Above 90..."
"How much above 90?"
She was determined to get to the bottom of things.
"96."

"So, one of you got 98, and the other 96. Do you really want other people to live?" Liu Ranran stared at Su Qing in shock.
"Such a simple test, and our Brother Sui easily got a perfect score!"
The boy, returning from basketball play during recess, raised an eyebrow, a basketball tucked into his arm. He casually picked up the test paper on the table, his expression utterly disdainful.
Hu Yifan blew his hair back from his forehead. "Brother wife-in-law, Su Qing, if you're not good at math, physics, and chemistry, I'll ask Brother Sui to help you with your studies."
He nearly let it slip, slamming the paper with Zhang Yihan's name on it next to Liu Ranran onto the table. He'd seen his brother wife-in-law's deskmate several times, even though he'd been admitted, still coming to school. His wicked ambitions were well known to everyone.
Jiang Sui didn't even come to class last week, so he didn't take any quizzes at all... And Su Qing was such a good student, so she didn't need Jiang Sui to tutor her. Who would dare ask Jiang Sui to tutor her?
Liu Ranran was about to retort, but when she saw Jiang Sui following Hu Yifan, she shrank back and remained silent, staring at Su Qing eagerly.
She swallowed the words that were about to come out of her mouth.
"Su Qing, are you thirsty? Do you want some water? I'll get you some."
Hu Yifan reached for Su Qing's pink water cup on the table, but was intercepted the moment they touched it.

Turning around and meeting Jiang Sui's cold, indifferent expression, he said, "Brother Sui, Qing Qing just said she's struggling in math, physics, and chemistry, and asked you to tutor her."
